I'm very grateful for the tutorial on this! When i first got the mirrors with my new bike the paper instructions talked about using a knife to cut open the area and I didn't want to purposefully damage something i just bought, especially being over $1k. I was also very lost about the extra nuts and plastic bits that were in the kit so this video was extremely helpful. You guys might want to update the instruction booklet that comes in the box to show how those extra pieces come together and explain that you just need to pop off the handlebar endcaps on some of your models with the bikes that have them installed. With all that griping being said I cannot express how amazing your company's customer service is. From these little videos showing how to install and do things to the response time on emails. I had to change the shipping address on the bike and also had a faulty latch but both times when I emailed i got a response back within 24 hours, even on Mothers Day! and that's just the customer service, the bike itself is amazing! I'll definitely be recommending Lectric to anyone I know that is in the market for an Ebike.
Close. The end cap can also be unscrewed with a pair of pliers/channel locks so you don't break the plug insert portion (I did). Also, the mirrors scratch easily, so be careful removing the cover film. As another commentator noted, instructions with the mirrors is not correct.
Look for the flat part of the base. The spacer flat part goes over that with the opening of the spacer lined up on the mirror side. Then put the nut spacer cone side down lined up with the flat part with the spacer flat side. Then insert the nut. Screw the bolt through until it is tight. And the spacer and nut spacer don’t move but don’t over tighten so that the spacer is expanded and won’t fit in the handle bars. Then insert the mirror into the handle bars. And screw it in until it expands and doesn’t move. I hope this helps. If you have any questions reply here and I’ll help as best I can.
This is near useless. I can’t see the parts and which order they go into the grip. Need close ups and a diagram showing parts in order of assembly. The included directions in the mirror kit are also poor

I found it very easy to follow. I just received my mirrors from lectric and the enclosed instructions were from long ago. It told me to “cut” a hole in the end cap etc….. I learned the current correct way watching this and my mirror is installed. Getting the end cap off wasn’t as hard as the video indicated. I saved it just in case I don’t like the mirror.
I agree with Shari. I watched this video after receiving 2 boxes of mirrors for our bikes. When you unpack it the items roll out and you need to figure out what goes where. Does the bolt go in front of the black plastic part or inside it? I managed to pull off the rubber end of our 3.0’s however no matter what I try can’t figure out how the mirror goes with the parts and tried various scenario’s and I’m extremely technical. Can you simply post a photo of the mirror with all the parts in the correct order, then a diagram of the order of how the mirror goes, and is the sleeve going into the bike handle first? I’ve also contacted support and service re our bikes when they arrived early Sept, and NO one has responded. One part was damaged during shipping and we had to buy a new one. Please advise. Thank you.
The hole in the handlebar is not big enough for the mirror…instructions say to Use a knife to create a larger opening for the mirror collar.” Is using a drill a better solution?
@LectriceBikes But doing it like the video breaks cap off of the plug leaving part in the handle bar, not allowing the mirror to go in. I had to use a needle nose pliers to pull the plug out.
I have this issue. Part stuck and I can’t get it out. Can’t put any mirror on or put cap back. Should come out easier so it doesn’t break cap. Hopefully I can get a clip on mirror
Umm removed the end cap it basically snapped off and the mirror doesn’t fit… followed video exactly what is this?? Now the. End cap won’t go back on either
Hello! We're sorry to hear about the troubles you're having with your mirror installation. Feel free to reach out to our team at 602.715.0907 M - F from 9am to 5pm MST via call or text, and we'll be more than happy to help. Thank you!
The spacer was not installed and all pieces. You COMPLETELY skip over putting it together. I had to stop and pause many times just to try and SEE HOW it fits together. You need to update this video.
Hi there, if the spacer and base are stuck in the handle, they may need to be retrieved with needle-nose pliers. Otherwise, they may need to be pushed out from the other side of the handlebar. If you have further questions, please reach out to our team for support!
Same thing happened to me, the spacer, base and nut were stuck inside. I was able to extract and reassemble one of the mirrors but the other one I couldn't get the nut out so now I only have one mirror.
Hey Andrew! We're sorry about that. If you are in need of additional assistance, please reach out to our Customer Service team at contact@lectricebikes.com and they will be happy to assist. Thank you.

eek...they should stop sending instructions because they are mostly wrong (mirrors, lock).

You should change the instructions in the paper
This is my kind of installation! I really like the simplicity but high quality of Lectric products.
Pretty good video. Thanks for telling me to simply unscrew the mirrors if I want them off, instead of complicated unscrewing them.
It's been very hot and rainy. Definitely find ways to make these bikes more rainproof.

Thanks you were correct it was just a bit to deal with removing the end cap but I got it so that is all I needed

That's a great idea, sorry to hear about the outdated instructions!
If you have any more feedback to share, we're all ears!

Thanks, I needed that.
We're happy we were able to help! Let us know if you have any questions. 🙌🏼
The instructions in the box need to be changed or at least include new instructions with the order. I ended up drilling them out, worked good.
So glad I didn't use a knife and cut the cap off lol

Hi there! Check out this video and see if it helps. Let us know if you have any questions! ruclips.net/video/W8MeU__xbeY/видео.html
Do not use a knife if you can unscrew as I commented.
There are threads on the cap
Just realized that after almost destroying them😂
thank you very much
It's our pleasure! 😉
That hole in the grips is way too small on my XP 3. This video makes it look a lot bigger than it is. The nut doesn’t fit much less the spacer.
Safety Warning: Wear gloves whenever prying with a screwdriver. Been there before, got the scars. A putty knife is a bit safer.
🛠 Thanks for sharing this great tip!
will these fit on left or right or are they designated right only, left only? Thanks
I heard the end caps on the XP 3.0 are threaded. If this is true, what is the best way to remove them? Is there an updated video?
Hey there! We do not have an updated video but we do recommend using a flat screw driver to remove the caps. 🙌
@LectriceBikes But doing it like the video breaks cap off of the plug leaving part in the handle bar, not allowing the mirror to go in. I had to use a needle nose pliers to pull the plug out.

I cannot get the plug ends off with anything. Just chopping up the plugs. 😂
Not even close to the mirrors i was just sent😢
Hey Windy! These are our old styles but its still the same concept for installation. We do apologize for the inconvenience. 🫶🏼
Just got my mirrors yesterday, and they are the exact mirrors in the video. Maybe they were out of the "new" style?
New mirrors clamp around handle bar.
Great recommendation, Edward. Forwarding it to our superiors.

these have got to be the worst type of design the middle part of the mirror got stuck when i unscrewed and now i cant even use it anymore
Not great! My little bike does not have end caps. This looks like a hopeless install and they cost $40…… not worth it. Will try something else.
Thank you
😊
You're welcome! 😉
The spacer was not installed and all pieces. You COMPLETELY skip over putting it together. I had to stop and pause many times just to try and SEE HOW it fits together. You need to update this video.
It doesn’t clean well.
Any advice for if the spacer and base are stuck in the handle by themselves?
Hi there, if the spacer and base are stuck in the handle, they may need to be retrieved with needle-nose pliers. Otherwise, they may need to be pushed out from the other side of the handlebar.

Did you ever get the spacer out? I'm having the same issue and it's too far in to grab with pliers... not sure how to get it out? @LectriceBikes ?
I did not... @@kaleighcoolsaet9901
@@kaleighcoolsaet9901I didn't...

This is really not helpful. No proper directions were provided and I’m afraid to even try to install the mirrors for fear they’ll get stuck.
