We’ve a good squad of players, as you said, and they’re delivering well below their potential. That can only be down to the manager. Nathan built Luton on a strong defence and make no mistake his legacy got us into the Prem. Edwards built on that team and the style of play we inherited. But now he has taken our key strength and capability and fractured it. His style of play, week by week, is diluting confidence. I’ve written in a different post that Edwards is looking out of his depth and I sense he is starting to panic which never leads to good decision making. Whatever the business, you can tell a good leader from the way they respond when facing challenges …time will tell.
Understandably you are all a bit negative.I think the return of Marv Nekamba as a third midfielder would make a big difference.Cutting out some of the tippy tappy football at the back would also help. I thought Walters had an outstanding game and looks a real gem.
It was a terrible goal to concede but... has McGuiness been told to try to keep possession because from what I've seen of him, he'd normally get it out of play? Plus, where's Jamie? His 'sub' saying its not a lack of confidence whilst then going on to explain a lack of confidence doesn't give me much confidence...
Dont think Joe Taylor is the answer. Our style and who we are meeting, he wont get the space like other teams as they will be very defensive against us. Lots of low block teams hitting us on the break. He is no replacement for Chong. Woodrow would of done better. He either replaces Morris or Adebayo.Woodrow should get more time. I see why RE kept the strikers on for too long as he wanted them to open there goal scoring. but after there second goal we did not get no where near them till the 90th minute
Forget formation, tactics and play style. The fact is we only have 2 goalscorers this season... and one was a wondergoal. Conversion rate is the worst across the efl. Elijah 3 big misses, 1 big miss for morris at pompey and a few others scattered in. If the front 2 could finish we would probably be on 6 or 7 points
