This is a rather early version of the storyboard - it has changed ever since. The Rift meant a lot to me, and I have been figuring out ita musical identity for many months."

The Rift scene, or scene 7, had one of the longest concept art and storyboard development ever, due to its significant storytelling value in the entire episode. Early on, I had demanded a spiritual soundscape, reflective of the scene and truly unique. On search for the perfect style, I dug back to one of my earliest orchestral exposures and experience - Edward Elgar's Enigma Variations.
Back in the summer of 2015, I was part of the school orchestra participating in the Summer cum Laude competition in Vienna. This was one of our competing pieces, I played the tuba, but these parts (Theme and I.) were actually quite tuba-less, giving me the opportunity to listen more to its expression and orchestration without feeling dizzy and out of breath. They fit perfectly with my emotional state of trying to find my own purpose amidst the years of bullying and my parents still not paying attention to my random ambitions - kinda forgot what they were, but I wasn't the happiest kid back then, grinding homeworks and exams and no fun games and stuff. (Might I note that I didn't even play computer games until I was 13, and that was in secret.) The transitions and contrasts between major and minor resonated perfectly with my emotional state, especially under the cruel practice hours of our conductor (hard, and insanely ridiculously hard, work pays off - but are you happy in the process?).
Confusion leads to despair, and inability to communicate leads to frustration and sorrow - such be logics that we are born with, yet grow to suppress. This piece is like my pillow to weep on when I was a kid, and means so much to me, that I still hear my interpretations every single time I listen to it - and the majors of hope concluding our emotional release. This is the celestial base that I wrote off from for the soundtrack, and while eventually the scene was redeveloped to be a bit more celestially damning towards the end, may the starting parts of mediation, reconciliation and celestial spiritual ambience and soundscape bring you the musical shoulder to cry on.
Storyboard mostly by ‪@AshaPhaedra‬ , while I did provide a little section at the end, which was simplified. It was supposed to be a full on transition with gravity reversed, as a spiritual experience between the upside down spirit world and the real world, as well as to sign the significance of the amulet symbol.
