Baguio City will be our first stop in the Philippines if we make it there. The cool temps make it one of the few places we might be happy long term. Thx !
Have never ever considered the Philippines as a location to retire, but that Baguio city really has me second guessing that. Thanks so very much for introducing me to it. Stay safe. Looking forward to what's in store for us next.
But you know its already congested city. Too many people already so everywhere there are many people. Local tourists flock here every day and mostly weekends. So be prepared for that haha
Every person in the planet would always choose Baguio as the favourite destination. It has an X factor that you get addictive to the place . If you try living in Baguio for a longer period of time you'll love it even more..... Excellent choice . God bless you both!
Yes, thank you sir and ma'm for liking Baguio City ☺. I love Baguio City too my hometown. We Baguio people if we want to go to the beach for swimming then it is easy for us to go down to San Fernando La Union as well,if not on a beach there are swimming pools nearby in asin or Itogon Benguet.
Superb list of destination here in our country. Great to know your favorite list to visit. Very thankful to you both coming and staying here we really appreciated it so much. Its expensive to travel from one place to another but you exert effort to explore here. God bless both.
Only Batanes Island and Quezon Province, youve nèver been too. This 2 places have more on natures best place to visit. U will love it esp in Batanes. Salamat po
Hi Qiang. Enjoy watching you and Dan. Love your big smile. My favorite will be Baguio. Lots of outdoor activities, food scene is awesome, and the weather is hard to beat.
Thank you for ranking Baguio no.1. I'm from Baguio but now I'm staying in a not so well known place here in Aurora province. I'm in Dingalan and fell in love with the place. A town between the Sierra Madre mountain range and the Pacific ocean. I hope you can visit this place as well. Thank you.
SanJuan, La Union and Baler Aurora are two well known places for surfers while a strait in Batanggas was declared as the center of the center of marine biodiversity of the world and still in Luzon. Volcanoes -theres taal the smallest volcano in the world and Mt. Mayon in Albay was the Mt. Fuji of the Philippines
Have just subscribed to both channels, turned on notifications and liked. Really enjoy your travels and your great interviews of interesting people. I know this will be early but congrats on future 10K subscribers. Glad to help out both channels. Wife just went to Baguio for job agency. She got job in Singapore as caregiver. She showed me video and pictures of her trip. Very lush and green everywhere. Loved it.

Indeed, Baguio is also my #1. If you want to go to the beaches, you can visit La Union or Pangasinan. The weather is not too hot during the summertime, and you will enjoy the cold weather from September (to November -rainy season) to February. Baguio is one of the safest places in PH as well.
Glad you love baguio - we been living here since 2012, and you were here in hthe middle of our rainy season it's even better whet it's dry October to April - if you come back let us know and oome over to our place for a cold beer and a view of the mountains
Thanks for this great list. You 2 are great for summarizing your agreements and reasoning about each place and its point on the list. I'm very grateful for informative videos.
Yeah Baguio. Unfortuanetle, you’ve inly been to maybe 2/3s of Luzon. Bicol region is also in Luzon Island and region 2 too. Hope u have time to visit Batanes.
Thanks yes... Baguio won, hoping the local government will put up a cable transport to La Union and also to Benguet province then it will be the best city to visit in the Philippines. The only problem is Baguio is too congested so hoping with faster transportation, Baguio will be decongested. I use to travel from Baguio city to Benguet and I always felt in awe of the vegetable gardens in Benguet and eating in Benguet was just fun because it is cold and soup was always served boiling hot. There is a place where you turn 360 degrees and you see all vegetable plantation in Benguet, just amazing. Baguio local government has to do a lot though like its airport, outskirts of Baguio have lots of ugly dilapidated buildings. You seemed not to have visited Camp John Hay in Baguio, so many to visit still in Baguio. Thanks again,
So happy to see both of you appreciate the beauty of this provinces of luzon. I hope you can able to go to Batanes & 100% you will amazed on that place. Stay happy & blessed from ireland.
Hi Qiang, I bet what clinched Baguio for both you and Dan was its range of vegetarian food and cheap fresh vegetables. That is not a surprise for me since, I spent many memorable weeks in that place from late 1960's up to mid 1970's. It was paradise for me then, not as much when I last visited in 2015.
One day my wife and I will have to catch the bus from San Fernando (not the San Fernando you two went to, but San Fernando, Pampanga) to Baguio for a couple of days. I'm sure I'll love it there.
Totally enjoyed your review of these wonderful places, agreed with you for the most part except Angeles, which I would not include in my list if ever I would come up with one. Baguio is my number 1 choice as well, it has a certain charm to it that lingers in your mind.
There's another heritage town similar to Vigan, but in Batangas - Taal town. It's quaint with a lot of the colonial houses still standing. It also has the largest Roman Catholic church in Asia (Basilica minor). It is connected to the town of Lemery by a small bridge. It is down from Tagaytay and leads to the Batangas coast.
wow i love your choices of places that have visited.. and how you ranked them! i'm from la union, we appreciated that you ranked us no.2 and i totally agree that your no.1 is Baguio also our favorite place to have our short trip or vacation from time to time!! 😍❤️ new subscriber here and im amaze of your vlogs how you presented it.. you both deserve more subscribers!!!
Many amazing cities on this list! I like the idea of Baguio too, I don't much care for heat/humidity or beaches a whole lot. To visit sometimes, that's fine, but cooler temps are nice! Plus it's beautiful! How is the infrastructure/services reliability there? (utilities, transportation)?
Transpo are jeepneys, taxis, ( grab if you want to feel safe) but taxi drivers are honest here, buses to go around the city. Its land area is the same as Singapore. You will love the cool temp here. Do not drive with your car coz parking area is a problem but people always bring their cars to visit so traffic is always terrible. You know there are many tourists for that day because of the traffic.
Dan / Quain this was a list of places you visited this last trip so far. I’m curious where you all would place Dumaguete if you were to place it overall of these places. I met Dan in the elevator in Taygaytay while I was there. I think your placement of it was spot on. Good for a few days but it is limited on things to do if staying longer. I return in September and this time will be in Negroes Oriental for a few months.
Good Job Guys... Glad you enjoyed the visit! Nice meeting you both on Walking Street in Angeles City! Hope to catch up with you all again when our paths cross! Safe Travels!
I have a story to tell. I was a foreign students English teacher for more than 4 years. I had a Korean student who was in his 60's. He said he had been to more than 50 countries but for him Baguio City is the most beautuful city he had ever seen. He kind of went to every nook and crook here in Baguio and he said it is awesome and beautiful. I was like oh!!! Lol thank you very much for liking our city thats all I could say then 😁😁😁😂😂😂😂

Just wanted to add that another good reason for living in La Union (the San Juan/San Fernando area) is the excellent Lorma Medical Center hospital which is located just north of the city of San Fernando. Lorma is known as the St Lukes of the North. The St Lukes Medical Center hospital(s) in Manila is a top rated hospital in all of SE Asia. My family and I lived in Urbiztondo, San Juan (the surfing capitol of the North) for a few years and we can attest to the high quality of the Lorma Medical Center.
You guys are making my choices for me. I've been trying to decide between Baguio City, and the Valencia/Dumaguette area, then I located a small sea-side town in southern Cebu. It's about halfway between Dumaguette and Cebu. Great restaurants and shopping, but no large malls or traffic.
You didn’t see the whole Angeles, the new Clark city will rival or will exceeds BGC. Clark have casinos, water parks, plenty of hotels and restaurants. Lucky for me, the government deposited thousands of dollars into my snap card. Thanks to the pandemic. But how about the other people who didn't get the card? Who didn't qualify? I got qualified because my SSDI was less than $1400.
Very nice bagio FTW Definitely want to get there sometime put my feet on the ground and see if that's somewhere I want to live. Just waiting for the Philippines to drop the covid bs Question Dan when you got to Baguio did they make you prove vaccination status?

Question: Why does everyone seem to be wearing masks when outdoors? Is that mandatory? I can see it if you're in crowded indoor places, but I would be very displeased if this is a requirement outdoors. I know 2/3 of the population has been fully vaccinated, so I don't get why so many people are wearing masks outdoors.
Chinese virus, of course, which peaked in 2022. Most of these stories were recorded earlier 2022, but in August I think masks still mandated. Same in Vietnam.
I like Baguio as well. The view and landscaping is awesome.
Baguio has cool climate that make my first choice

I can see it if you're in crowded indoor places, but I would be very displeased if this is a requirement outdoors. I know 2/3 of the population has been fully vaccinated, so I don't get why so many people are wearing masks outdoors.
Chinese virus, of course, which peaked in 2022. Most of these stories were recorded earlier 2022, but in August I think masks still mandated. Same in Vietnam.
@@formica. If I come to the Philippines, I won't be wearing a mask outdoors
