it seems you have the reel to bedknife contact too tight. Doesn't John Deere spec that there is supposed to be a tiny gap between the two, about the thickness of a piece of paper?
Yes, but in my area the only option is back lapping. However I have got different grit compounds now that allow me to get it more accurate. For the cost this is the way to go for me. 👍🏻
Think he’s talking about the reel/bedknife contact when you were cutting paper. It may cut, but yoylll wear the reel far quicker with that much contact.
