Braids triggering on the end step and drawing three cards + 6 damage to the table all for a single sac is both beautiful and terrifying.
And to think, it's probably the least powerful Braids, lol.

I’m glad braids is getting the love she deserves. They made her strong but not broken. I’m glad they made it a may ability. I already have my 99 built for her, just waiting for the cards ☺️

Was rooting for tetsuo since I’ve been planning on building it, just not quite sure how to despite numerous iterations. Gonna have to check this decklist for some more ideas.
Tetsuo is really cool, especially the interaction with the suspend sorceries. There's probably some really cool builds you could do with Glimpse of Tomorrow and Living End!

I wasn't sure how braids would play in edh but after seeing this video I see that she is terrifying
She is very good.
My friend made jodah and I just have to say it's very much Kill on Sight, no matter how watered down someone says their version is. It's like First Sliver, it's a cascade away from going off.
Its almost like consistent cascade as a mechnic is broken 😉

After watching this I want to try a Braids artifact deck. Might be interesting.
I Really saw ivy and braids and thought, Wow I wanna make those! Jodah, I mean he’s already gonna be made. But yeah those two look fun! I was rooting for Jodah to win this.
Why root for a busted commander?
I didn’t know mutate could work with ivy. I might have to take apart my Tatsunari mutate/enchantress deck and see how Ivy does as the commander.
I also think the new Sheoldred would be great for Braids. Gotta do it now!
Oh yes. It's brutal. In my pods I've now decided to try for fun wins (I wanna beat someone with their own commander due to dozens of auras, theft effect, then slap an Ancestral Mask on while Doubling it on Ivy copies 😄.

Rules note: Nether Traitor only triggers off creatures being put into your own graveyard, so it wouldnt trigger off Jodah dying as stated in the video.
Braids was scary early game but that may ability just hurts it. Tetsuo was never in the picture because commander damage is a low power wincon these days. Ivy was ivy and she got shut down quick and smart. Jodah I knew would most likely win because the amount of advantage you get off him is insane.
Eh I'd say the bigger problems for Tetsuo this game were the lack of free spells and the ability to attack. Braids had good control of Tetsuo's board for a lot of the game and the only time Tetsuo attacked Sam opted to kill Braids. Tetsuo really didn't get the opportunity to try to tempo the game since Braids did so much to stop Tetsuo's development.

Eh she's similar to Zada, Hedron Grinder, just that you want to target other stuff. She was also killed a whole bunch so it was hard to see what she's capable of.
I dont think jodah should’ve died to toxic. He counts himself so he would be a 7/7. But guess the player could’ve just payed 7 life
Jodah is a 5/5 base. When we said he was a 6/6, that was factoring in his ability. Jodah definitely dies from there. The real mistake was our explanation on what happened with the Nether Traitor lol

Thats the problem with Braids, the thing which player choose what to do killed her. People just choose to take 2 life which in EDH is no significant and not to sacrifice, give you draw. If they are faster then you anyway, like her they will outrun you. The 3 draws are at the end of turn and until late game you probably cant cast all things at once. It would have been so much better to deny resouerces to enemies but sadly is you may. Interesting commander but sucks
Kinda disagree here, the free draw if your opponents just opt for damage may as well be “pitch your best black stuff you draw into the graveyard for free to reanimate later”. Discarding is pretty strong in black given their number of ways to get things back out if built that way, so it’s still a win-win for the braids player no matter what.
Yeh thats not really accurate. Like sure it would be better if it was the other braids. This braids lets you get constant 3 for 1s, and most of the things you sac are tokens or recursive. Iv played ut in 3 games and intentionqlly discarded to hand size in all 3. Card is strong, probably as good as having a dark confidant in the command zone
