Here's some resources for gender non-conforming and non-binary folks, and for those who want to learn more! transcaresite.org/?page_id=988 Don't forget, Cut is for everyone. :)
I feel so dumb right now so I'm definitely hitting that link. It was mentioned that some felt offended when gender misidentified and I feel like most persons just don't know. They don't have enough info and therefore offending persons as a result without even meaning to, so education definitely is key to understanding each other more🖒
many people misinterprate the meanings of these words. all thesewords are just telling if you identify as male, female, both or neither, and what you were born as.
Yikes the woman that said she was not out yet made me cringe so bad. I hope she didn't feel forced to out herself and hope she's doing well and is comfortable. So brave of her. Great video Cut!
jwardbass just because she didn’t appear to be too upset about it doesn’t mean she wasn’t. As someone who was forced out of the closet before they were totally ready it can be a hard thing to be confronted with and called out for. Doesn’t mean your whole life is ruined or that you’re devastated but it’s a hard reality to be hit with. There is safety in the closet and we don’t know why she was still in it. Personally I was called out by my parents in the middle of a public space so I had to act like I was just fine about coming out to them before I was ready when in reality I went home and sobbed for days about it. She was dragged out on camera and probably felt pressure to be just fine with it. We don’t know how she reacted behind closed doors. I mean she could have genuinely been just fine but we don’t know and can’t assume either way.
ARMY+MELODY+LOΛE Wow you’re literally telling someone what they should/shouldn’t like because of a different opinion?? I’d say your mentality doesn’t match with your icon :)
nice try but OP was literally making fun of trans people, so like... opinions aren't some "holy untouchable thing" that should never be criticized or critiqued by the way. not only that, but OP's statement wasn't an opinion. it was more of a rude snarky comment about something they will probably not understand and about people that already get enough shit everyday.
Santiago opinion, mentality, mindset: same difference lol. I just used the word opinion here not a big deal aha. And where did I say you cannot criticize opinions? I was just pointing out the hypocrisy laden in that person’s comment. And no the OP was not making fun of trans folk because non-binary people are NOT trans people. Trans people experience legitimate dysphoria with regard to their gender identity while these people are making up identities as they see fit just because they’re ‘uncomfortable’ with gender norms. You are being transphobic by saying that gender is socially constructed and invalidating trans identities. Oh and you can have an ‘opinion’ on something unscientific or subjective. I say unscientific because it contradicts actual scientific evidence and has no logical basis (and I already know you’re going to use this as proof so: intersex isn’t a separate gender. It is a biological anomaly characterized by possession of both male and female traits. Most intersex people identify as either men/women anyway). See nothing’s wrong with identifying as whatever you want on the inside... but if you force your illogical identity on other people and want mainstream recognition, then yeah people aren’t just gonna keep quiet and accept it.
lmao chill out arch it was a positive comment no reason to get so amped up, besides the person LOOKS dope so it could be from the vibe they were gonna give off or the way they dress or any of their features. besides you dont always have to dress to pass off as male or female. androgynous just means you dont pass as any gender in layman terms
Sexuality has nothing to do with gender... And I would have cut the part out about the cis white woman being outed. Seriously. That could put her in a potentially unsafe situation.
I would assume they checked with her afterwards to make sure it was okay to include. But yeah it was kind of crappy of Rain to keep prying when she, out the gate, said she was uncomfortable discussing her sex life.
i really like how everyone in this vid was an adult and mature about how they identify. i feel like people who identify “out of the norm” are associated with young teens who haven’t figured themselves out yet, so this was nice to see people who are fully matured and still identify that way.
Plus they were all cool with being misgendered but properly explaining how they idnetity. I feel like anyone who doesn't identify as cis make or female is assumed to be some social justice warrior trying to make a point but that isn't true. People genuinely identify as non binary or genderqueer or gender fluid and these are valid!!!
Im trying so hard to understand this whole gender thing because i thought it was only male and female but im not judging. I just dont understand. But im trying! Im as open minded as they come. It doesnt affect me at all, people ccan call themselves whatever they want. But i do wonder if there was people like this like 100 years ago
100 years ago I think trans people were still considered a type of homosexual (and by extension, sexual deviants, unfortunately). Only recently has transgender been recognized as separate from sexuality (although still not entirely, people still confuse them). So I would guess that yes, nonbinary people have existed, we've just been lumped into one category or another and we're only now being recognized in our culture as something distinct from homosexuals or binary trans folk.
“I’m just going to ignore your comment because it wasn’t the answer I was looking for. You were supposed to validate my preconceived notions instead. ur a weirdo.” LOL
Margarita Merino they are like..... None/girl but more none to how I understood it as someone who's also nonbinary on the opposite end. They use female pronouns as a back up, but seem to prefer they.
Margarita Merino aha ok. they said genderqueer nonbinary. Everyone had their own veiw of there own gender but the overall term would be neither male or female.
I don’t understand what it’s like to be like them.... but I still respect the hell out of all of these people for having the confidence to be themselves
Thats the way to go ! Thank you for understanding the fact that even though you feel very different from these people (and I can totally understand that) you still respect them. Everyone should have this mindset
WOW I HAVE LEARNT SO MUCH! As a nurse I always always, want people to feel comfortable and try to make sure I am referring to someone the way they want and feel comfortable with. I do have trouble finding ways/the right words, to ask people how they want me to refer to them, as I don't want to offend and I think more education is needed for not just myself but everyone.
Sebastian Summers bullshit. Educate yourself don't bring your fantasy land shit onto other people and expect them to follow it. (Not directed at you btw.)
Cameron Guitar but does it really matter to you what someone else wants to be called? I understand it’s different and confusing at first but you don’t want to go and purposely make someone feel uncomfortable with themselves. If you misgender someone by accident and they kindly ask you to use something else I don’t think it should be the end of the world to just listen to them.(it’s okay I didn’t take the comment personally)
I completely understand people wanting to identify with other genders, but I dont think misgendering someone should be taken so personally or be so offensive. I mean if you look like a dude, im gonna use he/him pronouns with you, you correct me, i get it and change to whatever you identify as.
i feel like usually the problem stems from not unintentionally misgendering someone, but knowing someone’s preferrred pronouns and purposely using the wrong ones anyways
Getting misgendered for the first, second, third time didn't feel great, but I personally was able to get over it pretty quickly and without much effort. However, when it happens constantly everyday of your life it gets really... tiring, to say the least. Not to equate the trans experience to someone who's overweight, but to put this into perspective: wearing a fat suit for a few hours (like for a social experiment or a video or a part of the Jimmy Kimmel show or whatever) and getting made fun for your "body" can't be compared to the experience of someone who is actually overweight and has experience fatphobia over long periods of their life. As I am sure the latter is much much much harder. On a grand, systematic level: According to WHO, constant and intentional misgendering can be detrimental to many's livelihood. These article/people/video say it better: everydayfeminism.com/2017/01/misgendering-trans-people-is-violence/ While I understand that it is our human instinct to take clues and make assumption about everything and everyone around us (and I am very much the same way), I want to encourage you to try and defy that, and just ask someone how they would like to be referred to. That will do so much less harm than in the long run. Thanks for questioning and being willing to adapt!
Tommy Khoury unfortunately misgendering someone can be very triggering for someone who has struggled with their gender identity. Its always best to be safe and respectful by asking how they would like to be identified rather than misgendering
Watching that was sort of rough. Like when she said “I get trans vibes from you” I cringed because I eventually want to get to the point where people can’t tell. Also I hate when people go out of there way to ask if I’m trans, it doesn’t matter so much if they aren’t rude afterwards but it still bothers me.
yea i dont get that. i understand if theyre not sure or if they say they like being both.. but if they start defining things it seems counterproductive lol
Kerian Pearson I don’t mean to discredit what you’re saying, because outing people is a problem, but I think this was partially voluntary. It wasn’t planned for the group of people, but I’m sure if she was that uncomfortable then Cut would have edited it out by her request. I feel it’s safe to assume that Cut would refilm that part for her to make the video safe for her. Maybe she found this as a good opportunity to break the news, so she decided to let them keep it for the final video
Is she a woman? I'm just trying not to assume "its?" gender. I feel like such an asshole calling someone an "it" to me but apparently it's even worse to call them "male" or "female".
"thanks for helping me" is such a sweet, sincere end to a conversation that depending on the person may be a new, complicated, or confusing conversation. the support and approach in this video perfectly balances sensitivity and understanding with a normalizing attitude and fun open atmosphere is such a wonderful way to introduce a huge audience to a really important part of intersectional representation. thank you!!!
This was very wholesome cause they were all very chill and polite in the way they explained how they feel about gender and who they are but I’m also still very confused
Hey all, that was me! It was a bit uncomfortable, but that’s okay! I never felt a driving force to come out as bi until I was asked a question on camera. It’s all good:) no worries! -Eiluj
At 52, I had never heard of most of these things. I am thrilled to see people so fabulously fine in their skin. I look forward to the day when everyone in this video's rights will be so evident and official that we will be marching and picketing together for everyone else.
I'm 52 as well, but my best friend in high school had an older gay brother and we hung out at his house a lot. He and his partner were so nice and it never occurred to me to think anything about it. A female friend on my swim team had two moms. I knew what it meant but, hey, if you're buying the pizza after a swim meet, I like you! They were both nice ladies.
edit- as I've said multiple times in my comment, I don't mean to offend anyone! I just don't understand and I'd like for someone to explain. I wouldn’t ever purposly misgender someone, but I just really don’t get it when someone says something like “yeah i’m a demigirl asexual demiromatic genderfluid gay bisexual”. Why are people so obsessed with putting every single “interesting” label they can find on themselves? Literally, a person I met once said that they’re 99.5% female and 0.5% male and therefore prefers the pronouns they/them and is genderfluid. I went a long with it, but I was so confused. Like...what??...Something that also confuses me is why people say (for example) that their sex is female but they’re a demiboy because they like karate and playing football when the same people spend their time saying how “sports/colors/clothes have no gender?” How exactly does that make you a demiboy then, if you believe football has no gender? (I’d like to clarify that I agree that colors/sports/ect have no gender) It just often seems to me that some people are so desperate to be “different” that they google stuff like “name for when you feel 99% like a boy and 1% like a girl because I like dance” just to find a uncommon label. I have a bisexual friend, and she sometimes says that it feels to her like many young people (mostly 11-15 year olds) are making it a trend to be bi/gay. She has seen many people who has say that “now they’re not gay anymore” after a few weeks and it just makes me so confused!! Obviously there are bi/gays, but it seems that it has become some sort of trend to many younger teens. At least in her mind it does. Either way do whatever floats your boat.
BookMilla ive never met an 11-15 year old here in chicago who. Thinks its cool. Given, there are days where i do see and meet groups like that, but its so little, like. Its not trendy they dont care but they do kinda say “oh i identify” All i know is.... ill put up with you but i walk away Also... most of them then! Assume your gender “him her”. 🤦🏽♂️ like its just kinda. Ah. 😂 its funny, ive never meet a 11-15 year old whos really been, uptoo crazy about it. Its mostly 16 and higher... who are over the top
"Why are people so obsessed with putting every single “interesting” label they can find on themselves?" Chances are they just aren't sure yet. When you grow up without resources to learn about who you are, it can take you a long time to get there. I'm assuming you're cis? All your life, you've been surrouded by cis people and cis media so it's easy for you to just say hey I'm this. It's so easy, you don't even think about it. For trans folks, it's a struggle; it's about discovering who you are and deciding what works best for you. But this can take years or a lifetime and it is also everchanging. There's also a lot of overlap between the labels. "How exactly does that make you a demiboy then, if you believe football has no gender? (I’d like to clarify that I agree that colors/sports/ect have no gender)" I doubt they are a demiboy ~because they like these things and I'm sure there are other things that give them this feeling. They are just stereotypically masculine things that they like. And just because assigning gender to things doesn't actually make it exclusive to that gender doesn't mean that, in a world where we are still obsessed with labeling things male and female, one won't feel their gender connected to that. For example, a person who is nonbinary might not like wearing skirts because it makes them feel too feminine...but they'll still know and understand that skirts are not, on their own, female. It's the same idea. A demiboy might feel more masculine when hanging out and watching football because football gives off this "male" vibe, as might a cis female. The difference is that one is a demiboy and one is not. There's a lot going on in your comment that's too much to tackle but I just wanted to at least answer the direct questions you had. Hope this helps.
BookMilla exactly my thoughts! I know a girl that goes to school with my teenage sister and she was lesbian a few months ago, now she's "not a lesbian anymore" (not bi either). Idk I feel like some people want to be different soooo bad. But just like you said there are obviously "real" gay/lesbian/trans people, I just get so confused with all those other labels. Idk maybe I'm not educated enough on that topic
SamsReality I thought I was the only one that was taken back by that comment.. I’ve been seeing shit like this a lot lately. God forbid a white person say anything remotely like that lol
I like how since it's depracative towards whites then yep, that's acceptable and funny, but if you made the exact same joke but said black or anything else it would unacceptable
Arianna Or, if they weren't talking about gender roles, they could've meant they don't care about genders bc they're stupid or something, so someone assigning them a gender would not be ok, becuase that's not right.
Arianna he says in the post-interview that he has no preferred pronouns and that people can call him whatever they want, so how can he be misgendered? very confusing..
Ok I accept female, male, and trans. I accept gay, lesbian, bi, pan.. but all this extra stuff is just too much. The ones I listed makes sense, but all these new ones don’t make sense.
I don’t necessarily understand all of the terms, but I think everyone should have the right to be whatever they want. It’s not hurting anyone, go for it. I’m in the process of trying to learn more about this, so any help is welcome.
I'm so confused... I feel like we don't need labels - love is love as long as u don't hurt anyone - but the people themselves feel more included or understood with the labels... gahhhh!
I think most people worrying in the comments haven't even watch the video yet. For me, it was very respectful and everyone was having a good time. If they didn't get offended, you shouldn't. Also, the guessers were so nice and well informed. The video made me very happy to be honest. I like the fact that we live in a world full of different people with different minds and life choices, even if it gets confusing with all the terms and definitions. Go cut and go all the people in this video!!
Why if there aren’t such things as “masculine/feminine things” do people say they change gender for the day because they want to wear a sweatshirt? I never understood and will never understand this, and this is why I don’t believe in non-binary genders, although I respect every and each opinion in this video.
My issue with the multiple gender situation is that you're just reinforcing gender stereotypes. What does what you choose to wear or act like define your gender or lack there of? Men and women should be taught that they can be whoever they want. Making a non-binary option further divides and defines what men and women have to be. I think it is incredibly destructive to the work that feminists have done for ages on expanding the definitions of a man and a woman.
Arch the use of labels is kinda used as a way to work against the system within the system. since gender is a social construct that is soooooo embedded into our society it’s most likely not gonna go away. adding more labels is being more inclusive and it helps people not feel like an “other” due to the exclusion of having only two options.
Biohazard Waste well we wouldn’t have to deal with this exclusion if we expanded he definitions of the existing lines of gender and it creating new ones. Creating new ones is really just boxing other people in for your own self identification. It’s not right to do that to everyone else. Please tell me why those who “identify” as non binary cannot look the way they do and be the gender they were born with?
because attempting to do so causes an incredible amount of discomfort and emotional and/or physical pain. Dysphoria has a very strong link to anxiety and depression. Using labels doesn't box *other* people any more than the fact that Western societies touting a gender binary for centuries and creating stereotypes and gender roles to organize society boxes people. Creating new ones isn't just suddenly creating new identities; these are just words that we've come up with that we feel best describe how we feel about our bodies and their existence in relation to society. I genuinely don't understand how creating new names for how people feel boxes other people. We're creating it for ourselves, how does this affect other people?
That Assassin Are you stupid? There are way more than just 2 genders. Said the person who thought it was a good idea to spend their parent's college money on a gender studies degree LMAO
its amazing to see all these ppl of different backgrounds in the lgbtqia community. In my metro area you typically only see black and white so it's encouraging to see ppl that are asian and apart of the lgbtqia community
That's wonderful! I love it when people are so open to learning about genders and identities they hadn't known before. It's nice that there are still some people down here in the comments willing to learn (unlike some of the idiots who don't even bother to put in the effort to learn)
I honestly don’t see why there’s so much hate on this. Even if you don’t understand these people or think what they are saying is stupid, I just don’t see why you would stop and leave hate. Just move on and ignore it! These people aren’t hurting anyone and if what they’re doing makes them happy, then who cares? Why does everyone need to be so mean?
+Sigmund Freud people can de-transition. Hormones can be added and substituted. The only thing they do is cause a little acne and change secondary traits which doesn't affect your health
This was so beautiful and made me feel so happy - big love to all involved. Except the accidental outing... it sucked how dismissive she was when she said "well, they know now!"
Y'all should do a video of people guessing people with autism (low and high functioning). I'm autistic and people are constantly saying I "look it" and I'm just pretty curious if people can actually tell
The issue I have with the gender conversation is that I haven't met anyone that is not gender non-conforming, only people who deny it's existence. I think there's an inherent problem there because most people understand gender to be flexible enough to accommodate their differences in expression. However, individuals that feel constrained by traditional gender, those who are outside the boundary of flexibility, feel poorly represented. Then those that want to preserve their traditional ideology feel like their views are threatened because gender works for them. That's just typical, adapted, ingroup bias at work.
Omg s/o to the woman in blue who asked every time how the other person felt and what their journey was like. Idk that felt so validating in such a weird situation lol
Seeing this discussed in a video with such mature, respectful adults is honestly so wonderful to see. The comments, not so much, but the gender spectrum has only just recently started to be discussed, versus other LGBT identities which have been discussed for a fair while now. So, hopefully, we'll eventually get to a point where 80% of the responses won't be "fake", "snowflake" or "cringe." Personally, I'm cis female, but I believe in other people's right to live however the hell they want, and express themselves however they want. There are people who just don't feel like they fit 100% into a category of male or female, and that shouldn't be as big of a deal as it is. God forbid anyone actually get as angry over actual problems as they do gender identities.
Gender identity is an invention of faux studies professors who, in order to get a degree, pushed an idea that the way you feel at a given moment about yourself is more important than what you actually are or how you are perceived by society. Which is not true.
Midwinterain I'm not sure how many people are actually upset, but a lot of people are confused as to the non binary, agender thing. When you have things like that, it further cements the definition of feminine or masculine, which is what we're supposed to be avoiding. Plus, most people have a mix of "feminine" and "masculine" personality traits, and when people act like they're unusual for having both, it's just cringey.
you guys are totally mixing stuff up. the title of the video is "guess my gender" but she is constantly asking abput theyr sexual preferences. what does my sexual preference say about my gender??? nothing. it says nothing at all about the gender.
cis genders when the sex you are born with matches with your gender, penis=male vagina=female. Other genders vary and are not based on whether or not you have a penis or vagina. The opposite of cis is trans, trans is where you identify with the opposite of what you are born with penis=female vagina=Male, but when you are trans you can have a sex change so that your parts match up.
Gender non-conforming is where the person does not believe in the concept of gender and therefore basically have none, but since they need to identify as something it is something along the lines of "gender non-conforming" or "agender" all of these terms basically just means no gender
This is all very confusing. Can’t people just express themselves however they want without feeling the need to identify as something? I just don’t see how all these terms are necessary and why they are so important.
Cartoon Litschii well yes I was born male and my parents gave me a certain name and I’m comfortable with that. I just don’t understand the agender, non binary, non gender conforming?+ genders. Why can’t people wear whatever they want, act and look however the want, without having to change their gender?
Yeah I know, I don't know why people think soooo much about what Gender they are. to me Being a woman Is like the fact that I am A human, It's just what I am I never really think about it
First labels were bad, now labels are good. Some people just want to feel special. This gender debate has been getting out of control. It hurts transgender community I feel because they have a real problem and do deserve to feel comfortable in their body physically. When people wanna throw all these crazy terms out there it just diminishes real issues for LGBT. Just because you like to wear mens clothing sometimes doesnt mean you're some whole new gender. You just have a different style than everyone else. good for you.
Here's some resources for gender non-conforming and non-binary folks, and for those who want to learn more!

It's Just Hafsah I mean they could've edited done stuff out. They probably talked to her and made sure she was chill with it.
tristonanan that’s true I never considered that because everything seems to just flow through but you’re right. Hopefully they did just that.
Why do you feel bad? She wasn't too upset over it.
jwardbass just because she didn’t appear to be too upset about it doesn’t mean she wasn’t. i really like how everyone in this vid was an adult and mature about how they identify. i feel like people who identify “out of the norm” are associated with young teens who haven’t figured themselves out yet, so this was nice to see people who are fully matured and still identify that way.
Gender is fluid. Not having it figured out in your teens is not something you have the right to look down on
Lol anyone has the right to look down on anyone they want. People also have the right to call out said people.
Selma do you want to imply you are out of your teen years ? :D Don't kid me please. Your sentence is blatant misconception ;/
Rocky Turnage 💙
Plus they were all cool with being misgendered but properly explaining how they idnetity. I feel like anyone who doesn't identify as cis make or female is assumed to be some social justice warrior trying to make a point but that isn't true. People genuinely identify as non binary or genderqueer or gender fluid and these are valid!!!
The ‘Ellen’ girl was super uncomfortable with the taller WOC
That all red fit. It’s so dope
IKR
“I feel white” that was racist as hell.
T-Shades thank you. The answer i was looking for not like that other weirdo who commented. I was thinking that was the case but wasnt to sure.
“I’m just going to ignore your comment because it wasn’t the answer I was looking for. You were supposed to validate my preconceived notions instead. ur a weirdo.”
LOL
Lineup is the best section on this channel
*_in my opinion_*
The only section I watch!
Nah. It’s would you rather
I would like your comment but you have 666 likes
vallie it’s done hahha
I absolutely LOVE lineup and Dirty Data
I'm so confused 😩 I have a lot to Google
Kiki p same 😂 had to google all the terms. Still didn't understand some like the last one. I'm assuming she's a girl
Margarita Merino no aha. also please dont assume :p
Margarita Merino they are like..... None/girl but more none to how I understood it as someone who's also nonbinary on the opposite end. They use female pronouns as a back up, but seem to prefer they.
Random Account haha I think the word I wanted to use was "guess" instead of assume!
Margarita Merino aha ok. they said genderqueer nonbinary. Everyone had their own veiw of there own gender but the overall term would be neither male or female.
i feel so bad for the girl who had to come out against her will omg😭😭
When in the video was this?
If it was really that big of a deal to her, they would have edited it out
Isn't in fact a healthy thing? Should be happy for her :)
it was very willing, she could have easily lied lol
S. T. Its already been spread over the internet
I don’t understand what it’s like to be like them.... but I still respect the hell out of all of these people for having the confidence to be themselves
Same here 👏👏👏
Thats the way to go !
8:17
"I don't care for labels"
"Yeah I correct people every time they mislabel me"
What is this logic can someone explain lmao
I, too, was surprised by that hypocrisy.
they themselves do not care about gender labels but if someone else assumes, its appropriate for them to educate them on it
Sebastian Summers bullshit.
Sebastian Summers why would someone else talking effect you in any way
This is getting ridiculous now
I completely understand people wanting to identify with other genders, but I dont think misgendering someone should be taken so personally or be so offensive.
Tommy Khoury right
Tommy Khoury agreed
These article/people/video say it better: everydayfeminism.com/2017/01/misgendering-trans-people-is-violence/
While I understand that it is our human instinct to take clues and make assumption about everything and everyone around us (and I am very much the same way), I want to encourage you to try and defy that, and just ask someone how they would like to be referred to.
The girl with the gray braids is actually gorgeous and I’m living for her look
Watching that was sort of rough. Like when she said “I get trans vibes from you” I cringed because I eventually want to get to the point where people can’t tell. Also I hate when people go out of there way to ask if I’m trans, it doesn’t matter so much if they aren’t rude afterwards but it still bothers me.
“For me gender issss...” “some days I feellll” nah man come on
meepcat _ ah yess mannn you go! Keep being comfortable in your own skin!!
ToastedWaffle:p as long as they dont police others, fine.
yea i dont get that. i understand if theyre not sure or if they say they like being both.. but if they start defining things it seems counterproductive lol
right. it's so contradictory
lol
The last person looks like Edna from the incredibles
true xD
is the last one Edna Mode from the incredibles?
Daniel Del lmao
Daniel Del I WAS THINKING THAT
-i like girls, but I'm not out yet.
-well, you are NOW.
-hi, mom!
I was mad about that. She was outed clearly against her will on the internet. Being outed is never fun, it’s not something you do to a person
Not even being rude but everyone knew before this lol
Anna Schoch hope you're right
they would've asked her permission for this to be edited in or out
That last person in line is so lovely, oh my gosh.
*CAN THE TALL BLACK WOMAN GET HER OWN MOVIE PLEASE??* (the one asking questions) _I love her personality!_
Jåden Yuki the one with the blonde braids or the one guessing stuff?
Jåden Yuki I would love that very much, yes.
Thomas Ryan The person with blonde braids is an Asian guy 💀👀😳 not a black person.
Jai Hollins the WOMAN with the blond braids is a woman. Not a man
Is she a woman? I'm just trying not to assume "its?" gender. I feel like such an asshole calling someone an "it" to me but apparently it's even worse to call them "male" or "female".
The last person is literally the coolest person I have laid my eyes on, does anyone have their instagram?
LOOL I THOUGHT THE SAME!! I WANT HER/THEM ON MY IG'S FEED
I NEED TO KNOW WHO THEY AREEE
RIGHT
i want to know too!
"thanks for helping me" is such a sweet, sincere end to a conversation that depending on the person may be a new, complicated, or confusing conversation. the support and approach in this video perfectly balances sensitivity and understanding with a normalizing attitude and fun open atmosphere is such a wonderful way to introduce a huge audience to a really important part of intersectional representation. thank you!!!
tim looks like an old gym teacher from the 80's
“you’re beautiful! i’m so happy to have met you!”
my heart just leaped.
This was very wholesome cause they were all very chill and polite in the way they explained how they feel about gender and who they are but I’m also still very confused
Feel so bad about the accidental outing, no wonder she was so uncomfortable poor girl
That was so disrespectful for the black girl to out her when the white girl clearly said she’s uncomfortable and doesn’t want to talk about it
Honestly I don't get why they didn't just cut it out if she was uncomfortable..
She most likely said it was ok for them to keep that part she could’ve asked for them to take it out
I'm pretty sure they told her what the lineup was. And she could have always lied. There's no oops i accidentally said I'm gay
Hey all, that was me! It was a bit uncomfortable, but that’s okay! I never felt a driving force to come out as bi until I was asked a question on camera. It’s all good:) no worries! -Eiluj
These look like the randomise characters in videogames
THE GIRL WHO CAME OUT IS SO PRETTY
Not rly
Em Ramirez yes she is.
She’s so bubbly and cute!!
Em Ramirez LIKE your any cuter 😑😕(lil rude ass)
Em Ramirez bitch shit the fuck up
Every time they asked about someone's sexuality I cringed. Gender and sexuality are very different and don't correlate...
The trans girl w the hoops is so beautiful omg
At 52, I had never heard of most of these things. I am thrilled to see people so fabulously fine in their skin. I look forward to the day when everyone in this video's rights will be so evident and official that we will be marching and picketing together for everyone else.
This so nice oh my gosh
You haven't heard of them because they're made up. Don't feel bad.
What exactly do you mean by "made up" like the words we are typing is made up
I'm 52 as well, but my best friend in high school had an older gay brother and we hung out at his house a lot. He and his partner were so nice and it never occurred to me to think anything about it. A female friend on my swim team had two moms. I knew what it meant but, hey, if you're buying the pizza after a swim meet, I like you! They were both nice ladies.
We need more people like you
edit- as I've said multiple times in my comment, I don't mean to offend anyone!
(I’d like to clarify that I agree that colors/sports/ect have no gender)
It just often seems to me that some people are so desperate to be “different” that they google stuff like “name for when you feel 99% like a boy and 1% like a girl because I like dance” just to find a uncommon label.
Its not trendy they dont care but they do kinda say “oh i identify”
All i know is.... ill put up with you but i walk away
Also... most of them then! Assume your gender “him her”. 🤦🏽♂️ like its just kinda. Ah. 😂 its funny, ive never meet a 11-15 year old whos really been, uptoo crazy about it. Its mostly 16 and higher... who are over the top
I think about 10 of muly friends came out as gay a few weeks ago, now they all have girlfriends, so true
Couldn't have said it better
"Why are people so obsessed with putting every single “interesting” label they can find on themselves?"
Chances are they just aren't sure yet.
(I’d like to clarify that I agree that colors/sports/ect have no gender)"
I doubt they are a demiboy ~because they like these things and I'm sure there are other things that give them this feeling.
JANELLE MONAE!!!
The person in the background who snapped when they said her name had me rolling lmao
“I feel white” I died omg
SamsReality literally scrolled for this comment thinking people would cut her for that. This fucking acceptance of racism is beyond a joke
SamsReality I thought I was the only one that was taken back by that comment.. I’ve been seeing shit like this a lot lately. God forbid a white person say anything remotely like that lol
i feel black
.because 'angry'... get it...
Because black people cant be racist hahaha so funny lol xdddddd
I like how since it's depracative towards whites then yep, that's acceptable and funny, but if you made the exact same joke but said black or anything else it would unacceptable
My partner is a trans woman and she is great. Such a sweet, kind, and beautiful person^^
Luz Goodman-Estrada so a guy
moustachebro4life no
Luz Goodman-Estrada You’re actually dating a man.

Luz Goodman-Estrada Ignore those underdeveloped idiots sweetheart . You're probably a stunning couple 😙
Tim (the drag queen) hugging everyone is honestly the cutest thing ever
I just loooove that person who says 'I don't care about genders and stuff' but then says 'if you misgender me, imma correct you'
Arianna they probably meant they don't care about gender roles
Arianna
Or, if they weren't talking about gender roles, they could've meant they don't care about genders bc they're stupid or something, so someone assigning them a gender would not be ok, becuase that's not right.
Arianna he says in the post-interview that he has no preferred pronouns and that people can call him whatever they want, so how can he be misgendered? very confusing..
I loved the last one. Their voice was HOT.
You are gay
: Master02 You're quite right I am. So the insult lies where?

Ok I accept female, male, and trans. I accept gay, lesbian, bi, pan.. but all this extra stuff is just too much. The ones I listed makes sense, but all these new ones don’t make sense.
"i feel white" when i tell you i SCREAMED
They all seem like such genuine and kind people
I don’t necessarily understand all of the terms, but I think everyone should have the right to be whatever they want. It’s not hurting anyone, go for it. I’m in the process of trying to learn more about this, so any help is welcome.
O boy... i mean... o person...

I’m learning piece by piece by this.
Hard9 dude shut up
YAY KEN
I'm so confused... I feel like we don't need labels - love is love as long as u don't hurt anyone - but the people themselves feel more included or understood with the labels... gahhhh!
jayag26 Gender doesn't have anything to do with sexuality. We are just part of the LGBTQ family!
yeah, I get you .... learning to hate this world and all the motherfucking idiots. Never thought we would stoop this low as a society.
10:20 why she remind me of edna from the incredibles
Ellen cosplay girl has the cutest voice
eve I love this nickname lmaooo
As a gender fluid person this video made me so happy. Im so glad everyone was so accepting!!!!
"I feel white." Nothing wrong with that?
Why if there aren’t such things as “masculine/feminine things” do people say they change gender for the day because they want to wear a sweatshirt? I never understood and will never understand this, and this is why I don’t believe in non-binary genders, although I respect every and each opinion in this video.
That Ellen looking girl cute as hell
are you blind?
She's so adorable :(((
🤢🤢🤮🤮
ugly likes ugly
@s21411 thats why youre inbred
I love that folks pointed out who you love has nothing to do with who you are! Yay!
The problem with labels like that though is that people assume the majority so it's bad
^ This
because attempting to do so causes an incredible amount of discomfort and emotional and/or physical pain.
1980s- Cars will fly in the future!
2018- Guess what gender they are
Attack helicopter.
dead meme
LOOOOOL IM DEADDD
omg cut.
Ben_ this is the dumbest lineup yet xD
This should be easy😂 boy girl is the only 2 option you have one or the other so
yeah before they started i just pointed out boy.girl.girl.boy etc
That Assassin
Are you stupid? There are way more than just 2 genders.
Said the person who thought it was a good idea to spend their parent's college money on a gender studies degree LMAO
E drop I got worried for sec there lol
I LOVE LOVE LOVE THE LAST PERSON AAAH
Alexia Amber thanksss
fuck off already ^
Omg I live the person that spoke last! So fired up, lively and most important correct AF!
its amazing to see all these ppl of different backgrounds in the lgbtqia community. In my metro area you typically only see black and white so it's encouraging to see ppl that are asian and apart of the lgbtqia community
This makes me want to learn so much more about genders and identities I’m so happy with this video🖤
AKHILA child how?😂 I just feel like there many more important issues to focus on these days than this.
look up jordan peterson about genders and pronouns
Wolf Haley totally
I thought there was only male and female
Seeing this discussed in a video with such mature, respectful adults is honestly so wonderful to see. The comments, not so much, but the gender spectrum has only just recently started to be discussed, versus other LGBT identities which have been discussed for a fair while now. So, hopefully, we'll eventually get to a point where 80% of the responses won't be "fake", "snowflake" or "cringe."
Personally, I'm cis female, but I believe in other people's right to live however the hell they want, and express themselves however they want. There are people who just don't feel like they fit 100% into a category of male or female, and that shouldn't be as big of a deal as it is. God forbid anyone actually get as angry over actual problems as they do gender identities.
Dude ur last statement is sooo true. If people put their anger from gender identity towards real issues today, imagine the difference
PREACH
Midwinterain yo but like how was this mature
I am so confused
Whatever G Male or Female
So are all these people in this video, you're not alone.
Same
Why do all you fuckers in the comments care so much about what other people identify as
CoolandGood Lol, can you please chill out, all the person said was they were confused and so am I
i can just see everyone at cut having a real good giggle over the comments section. love ur work keep it up x
theVoid werrk
theVoid they gon giggle at the like/dislike ratio too
They're not gon' giggle when they see the dislikes
Mami Longlegs doubt they care lol they probably expected it since everyone in the youtube comments is judgmental and misinformed as fuck
bruh they're gonna laugh especially at the dislikes lol
Someone needs to tell the guy in the jumpsuit he looks like cinna from the hunger games
you guys are totally mixing stuff up.
the title of the video is "guess my gender" but she is constantly asking abput theyr sexual preferences. what does my sexual preference say about my gender??? nothing. it says nothing at all about the gender.
Me watching this video didn’t help at all it actually just confused me even more
i don't understand 90% of these "terms" what does cist gender mean?
cis genders when the sex you are born with matches with your gender, penis=male vagina=female. Other genders vary and are not based on whether or not you have a penis or vagina. The opposite of cis is trans, trans is where you identify with the opposite of what you are born with penis=female vagina=Male, but when you are trans you can have a sex change so that your parts match up.
thank you
i know you're not my personal "google" lol but what does gender non-conforming means?
Gender non-conforming is where the person does not believe in the concept of gender and therefore basically have none, but since they need to identify as something it is something along the lines of "gender non-conforming" or "agender" all of these terms basically just means no gender
ok thank you :)
No problem
This is all very confusing. Can’t people just express themselves however they want without feeling the need to identify as something? I just don’t see how all these terms are necessary and why they are so important.
honest t well do you identify as anything?
Cartoon Litschii well yes I was born male and my parents gave me a certain name and I’m comfortable with that.
I just don’t understand the agender, non binary, non gender conforming?+ genders. Why can’t people wear whatever they want, act and look however the want, without having to change their gender?
some people find comfort in the labels, it's like a security blanket for them.
