Thanks Matthew - I hadn't used Amazon S3 for about 10 years and all the settings had changed. This was really helpful.

thanks for this video Matthew. I have a question a little out of this subject, if you can help me or someone who sees this ...
Can you tell me where i can renew my domain .what would be the best place for that? There is some place that I can renew directly, without having to renew directly where I do hosting. Thank you.

Hi, I was looking for a platform to host my WP videos and clicked on your video title thinking it would suggest... I use RUclips embed in my WP site but sadly RUclips embed links suggest other videos which distract from my site... are there any video hosting sites I can use without having to display their brand etc .. thank you 😊

What is the code I can add to my bucket policy to prevent a user from "sharing" "downloading" and "copying the URL of my videos"? Much appreciated!

Richard, sorry that would have to be another lesson! But if you use the public URL, you don't need it.

Hi Matthew, what's the benefit of hosting on Amazon S3 as opposed to RUclips? Raymond in Ireland

Hey! Firstly, higher perceived value for the consumer. No RUclips branding, and you maintain full ownership of your content. For paid video content/ or premium content such as membership sites, self-hosted video content is going to be a better option.

@@MatthewMcDonald Hi Matthew, I am interested in having a pay per view solution for both Live and pre-recorded videos. Don't you have a tutorial on that?

i guess in house hosting is the only way to go -_- don't trust google or others as they apparently retain elevated rights to your IP and keep it forever. alternatively, i might grab a raspberry pi and do IPFS. problem with IPFS is that it takes a bit longer to fetch the video file... but in my case, these are 5MB videos (3 mins each), thanks to handbreak ;) ;) ;) they might fetch a bit quicker.

But If you just make the video public, aren't you at risk of getting a huge bill from Amazon S3?
