    There are thousands of videos about form and technique but those teaching points which make you visualise or connect with different pathways (eg the elbows to hips point) really make all the difference. Amazing vids Marcus. I am 60kg for my comp at the moment and squat, bench double my weight and dead 3 times my body weight. Always believed in functional strength as a good foundation 70kg pullups and 1rm 70kg dips. Glad I found this channel and happy to know others who value certain ways of training like myself. Love the vids mate regardless of how short or how little often they come 👊🏽👊🏽👍🏽👍🏽 Pure quality!

      @@regret7739 The point of the video is , try not to flare your elbows like in a normal pull up. Try to bring them inwards. I suggest to start high chin ups first 'cause it's easier.

    Back in the days when I used to box my trainer told me don't do pull-ups to your neck those or bitch UPS if you can't pull to your chest it's not worth doing he said pull your elbows behind you no make it so much easier I can only do 4 sets of 10 now I used to do 4 sets of 35 but I'm working on it

      @@andrewfreeman3492 If you do 4 x 35 normal (below the chin) pull ups that's already great. Those pull ups should be good enough for boxing. What's the point of learning a calisthenics skill for boxing? Most body builders can't even do proper pull ups.

    • @marcusbondi
      @marcusbondi  4 года назад +4

      Curtis Shaw hey a try really stretching your forearms / like put your hand flat against a wall with straight arm and feel the stretch - it equalises the chin up grip tension! I’ll do a video!😀😀😀

    • @previouslyachimp
      @previouslyachimp 4 года назад +1

      Yep, what Marcus said (obviously, he's a legend!), but also use slow tempo so you're not slamming down into your joints. Secondly, make sure your grip is strong and the bar fully in the palm,.If your grip starts to weaken you can end up doing your last few reps holding on by the fingers. This puts excessive strain on the elbow tendons. Good luck

    • @Wiizardii
      @Wiizardii 4 года назад +2

      And don't always go to failure if the pain partially appears when you're in the last few reps.Try cutting down reps and maybe negatives at the end instead.
