The wiped 12 times in a row on their first attempt and quit. Multiple times on 2nd try, and didnt kill visc. This is the third raid (2nd for asmon) and they finally did it smoothly (very).

It's not like u have to give the best players all loot because every casual raid is gonna clear everything at the first night.
Maybe give ur tanks the first set items to make it easy but u can also kill raid bosses naked so it doesn't really mater at all
not only was it wasted for the worst class and spec in the game but also a guy who barely even plays the game..

The only negative feature of wow in my opinion is the looting and friends arguing about loot. I'll always break and give other loot they feel they really need for their build even if i feel the same. I'll gladly gear myself behind others so there is no in fighting.

My guild has had 3 deaths stings in 3 weeks. Yet none of those ouro bracers. Our guild alone raised the drop chance on atlas loot.

By the way I bet if you would put 40 completely green players in Vanilla and other 40 green players in Legion the first group would struggle much more. From harder lvling (not just longer) to the raids without knowledge of world buffs and shit like that.

Not going to lie it was good to see AQ 40 again had a lot of fun there back in the day.
AQ40, or as I liked to call it, how I lost faith in about 20% of humanity. Getting 40 people together who knew the raid and could listen, was pretty much impossible on my server. During WOTLK my guild decided to host an AQ40 clear on our server. It was still difficult, due to how many people just could not listen, would not listen, could not cooperate.
Bro in wrath it could be solo'ed easy, as I did it weekly for the bugs mounts and the gold until the gold drops were nerfed. If 40 lol 80s went in there and died all I can is log out and cancel your sub.

Thinking about the weeks and weeks of trial and error my guild went through to make it to the eye.... and then seeing him wipe it out the whole place like it is nothing. Gaming sure is different today, I think people are just more skilled in general and better communications, etc.

holy shit blizzard really put AQ40 on easymode for all the old-timers who play classic.
@SP no its not. blizzard guesstimated the numbers from the TBC prepatch, as they didn't have enough data before. at that stage many things were nerfed, and overall they tweaked the numbers even more down to make it easier for dumb reatail players.
@SP nope. Check the patch notes till 1.12, the patch that classic is built in (released after naxx, which was patch 1.11). The health of every single mob in the game, from boars to raid bosses, was greatly reduced, in preparation for TBC rebalance. All the enrage bosses became much easier. I know that many retail players are in delusion though, and they like to think they are good

ps: classic wow difficulty was not about single player mechanics. was about coordinating as a group of 40, with proper stats, the bosses at aq40 with enrage would not allow losing 1-2 players out of 40. in retail does not matter that much if 1/10 dies. also the "individual mechanics" in retail boil down to:
- learn the 3-4 button rotation
- avoid shit on the ground
not that much complicated. and while I didn't play past cataclysm i did kill heroic Rag.

Except you could easily lose people and still kill the hardest bosses in Vanilla, you can see videos from Vanilla of that happening.

It's a much bigger deal when you lose people in Mythic raids
These kids will never know. The fact that they don’t have on any NR and the fact that the bosses hp melts speaks something totally different about all this. They did wipe 12 times on twins and this is their third go at AQ.

Man, 40 people and two items are dropped per boss? It’s so inefficient. Burning crusade and 25 man raids were life, and made so much more sense for an enjoyable raid. And you were able to loot up much faster.
