Tukey a legend. Saved the raid, saved Windforce, was the only one healing Ahmpy when he went down. But the FB kick half the melee were frozen, and the MT lost aggro, it was a moment of chaos
Ahmpy's death could not have been more dramatic and therefore epic, a perfect plot of a literary masterpiece, the end of the hero's journey, of the leader with the calm voice and iron resolve who did not hesitate for a second even after his death.
It's incredible how a game mode, hardcore, can amplify the emotions felt during the gaming experience... And the emotions felt while watching it.
Blizzard should give him a place next to Uther's tomb.

honestly there's way less emotion here than any other non-hardcore kill. Just go look at the world first kill vids for any of raid, the nerd screams and excitement are 100x more pogchamp than what this was

Ahmpy dying was the best that could happen from a story perspective. He made it happen. Can they do it without him aswell?
many amphy took it like a champ. That's the way it goes. He may have died in the process, but he still lead his guild to a world first kill. Sometimes you get em, and sometimes you get got. Big respect to him and the team. He will be back re-gearing his next character in a few days anyway.

How epic is this that the leader of the raid dies to the last boss of vanilla wow in the last fight of the journey, sacrificing his life.

I mean almost, Except he didn't sacrifice himself he just moved into a bad position and died To lack of heals frost frost blast. Healers were sleeping, cause all the melee died to that blast. But ampy just dies because he moves at the wrong time. Agro or not, melee do not move if frost blast is available. And that's why!

Watching this live was a true nail-biter from start to finish. A journey that transcended the game itself. Ahmpy had felt so invincible in all the raids up until that point like out of all of the people in the groupit you never got the feeling that Ahmpy would ever hit the deck; it was just inconceivable. The moment he fell you knew it was all or nothing; It was like a movie. Maybe it wasn't the ending that Ahmpy wanted, but all things considered, it was the perfect conclusion to encapsulate the HC experience.
Im actually did not expect that from myself, but by watching this video i ended up with tears, and its kinda mixed feeling between being happy for the fact that they did it, and the fact that few of them actually just ended their way (which is like 700+ hours) literrally laying on the main classic villian corpse.

Ahmpy is a HC OG and a total chad. Good on him for staying calm even though he died because of someone else's fault. Mad respect.
When we expect a raid leader, Ahmpy shows us how its done.

Windforce was at 25% just before getting hit down to like 4%, then after LoH he dips back down to 20% very quickly again. If that LoH had been any sooner, ie at 25%, theres a good chance he would have died, as he was just about to take another 20% hit. couple of hundreds of a second after that. Not only did the LoH save the raid, but the timing of LoH was also important.. albeit that was probably luck, but still.

That might have been one of the best LOHs in wow history.
After the ice block before Amphy died the melee had 'free movement' because KT can't iceblock twice that fast, so KT could've gotten kicked by amphy's original group
Honestly it's poetic that there were at least a few deaths and the GM dying during this fight. It was a hard fight and it wasn't won without some true sacrifices.
I really like the way you talk us through every bossfight. I've become very invested into WoW Classic just over a year ago so I've never been in any of these fights. The insight on the different mechanics is amazing!
Every war has its casualties. A hard-fought victory that came at a cost. The permanent death aspect makes it feel like this is how it might have played out in the lore, which I love.
I Think this is by far the nearest satisfying moment in WoW Boss fights , even got severel Casualties i still respect them o7
people think the prep is too much but you gotta remember in hardcore its all or nothing

What i love about classic is the notion of "Holy Trinity " is so necessary and required throughout 95% of dungeons and raids where party cooperation and composition is crucial.

MOTW is sick, but its also fairly easy to gear a druid for tanking on the side and their main threat weapon is farmable in gnomeregan. Oh and with naxx gear rogues love druids when their hots start restoring energy.
Also theres 2(!) druids at 4hm and kt.
Would have been cool if a GM came in at the end and was like "yo, good job, here's a res"
Hardcore classic is pretty damn special.
turkey really did save windforce in less than a second with the lay on hands 45:05 - 45:06 plenty time to react though as he was originally hit at 44:49 the timing itself is insane
Yeah. The timing was down to luck though, but the reaction was crazy. 100 milliseconds sooner, and Ahmphy would probably still have died after LoH, because of that extra 20% bonk. Crazy stuff
This is why i strongly believe that a stable endgame is not an attainable dream for hardcore. If this crazy group with everything in the game at their disposal is ripping people including their MT you better believe your ass will eventually get blown up in MC or UBRS. Don't get me wrong as someone who has a lvl 31 its very fun, but i think people have unrealistic expectations of hardcore. The game was not made with it in mind.
Of course, the game wasn’t made with it in mind, which makes these feats all the more impressive. Btw, I believe you can power level characters to 60 with Mage AoE. I need someone to confirm this.

NGL I loved the Sapphiron fight. My BC guild didn't get that far in classic raids before WotLK went live and no one cared anymore. But my pet tanked one of the horsemen a couple of times and I was also a damage soaker on Patchwerk. T4 is still my favorite hunter tier set appearance wise and I never completed it. My void vault is full of tier loot and trinkets that are no longer necessary in retail that i worked so hard to get.

No they should not. It's hardcore. If you die you die, no matter how many hours you sank into the game, no matter how far you got, no matter who you are. It's what they signed up for.

WoW classic hardcore is the reason why I came back to this game after 18 years!
Decursive is a simple addon that makes clearing debuffs so easy. Ive been using it as a healer for years.
kinda wild to see this happen after so long, on hardcore. Congrats. Most people wont understand the sacrifices made to get there, quite impressive.

I was using those same addons back then. I believe that black line that is running in the middle is server ticks. The melee auto attacks were monitored so you could step into range at the end of the tick and land a hit while staying out of range in-between swings. Fun times.

I played Pally in Vanilla. Tukey executed the greatest Lay On Hands in WoW History ever caught on film. It's the gravity of the situation. Hardcore KT. No LOH will ever beat Tukey's KT LOH.
I loved the synchronization between Asmon and the stream, as soon as he commend the Epic leggings quality, Ahmpy simply chose to loot them for himself.

Wow, haha the bag of marbles. I can confirm the bag of marbles 100% does NOT work on the Lich King. I saved my marbles for ICC when the game was current, 15 years ago. It doesnt work on LK. I tried it on him again in Cata, it still just misses.

Awsome, did this in vanilla before people knew how. Only Nihilium was there before us. It was not easy when not knowing what he does. I was charmed and not CCed so Tranquility healed KT and adds.. :)

Thats what i never liked about Classic wow is if you do damage fast enough you just literally skip phases of the boss. i hope season of discovery and classic plus if they ever make it delv more into that.
