Man I can't believe Ahmpy died. What the. Hello? Universe? What is this. Previously I've thought that Ahmpy's leadership should basically be displayed permanently at the top of Harvard Business Review. He dies, remains completely *CALM* and keeps leading. Now it's like the entire site should just be Ahmpy's profile pics and these videos. What an absolute LEGEND.
This is why i strongly believe that a stable endgame is not an attainable dream for hardcore. If this crazy group with everything in the game at their disposal is ripping people including their MT you better believe your ass will eventually get blown up in MC or UBRS. Don't get me wrong as someone who has a lvl 31 its very fun, but i think people have unrealistic expectations of hardcore. The game was not made with it in mind.
Of course, the game wasn’t made with it in mind, which makes these feats all the more impressive. Btw, I believe you can power level characters to 60 with Mage AoE. I need someone to confirm this.
feign death is a hunter ability, it just shows that hes dead on the raid frames but he the hunter just ''pretend'' to be dead. you can drop threat that way
No they should not. It's hardcore. If you die you die, no matter how many hours you sank into the game, no matter how far you got, no matter who you are. It's what they signed up for.
I was using those same addons back then. I believe that black line that is running in the middle is server ticks. The melee auto attacks were monitored so you could step into range at the end of the tick and land a hit while staying out of range in-between swings. Fun times.
29:58 I feel this, if I'm DPS, my own personal rule is to stay behind the tank. Even there are no mobs around... Tanks are the group leads, they need to know where the mobs are, where I am, if I'm ready so he knows he's okay to pull etc etc.... DPS is his back up and should be on his flanks ready to attack after his pull.
WTF I watched this never played wow but finished the whole 53:22 duration of this content. In the end I somewhat understand this is hard, what a god raid. WOW Hardcore.
Absolutely insane. If somebody told me in 2006 that some tryhards would clear naxx without dying once in the game after we died weeks straight on sapphiron, id have eaten a boot full of shit.

My big takaway was that guy moving out of safezone on 4 horsemen just to teabag the two people who died. Legendary play :D
They should add grave stones with the dead legends at the entrance to KT's Room!
Managed to Kill the Final Boss in HC.
Did anyone else see Itspeter die at 9:08 when Sapphiron died? he then gets rezzed? Can anyone explain?
Wait might have been feign death...
I remember the horseman being so hard. Nax holds my best memories from back then
I love the thought of a bunch of people flinging marbles out of a bag and Sapphiron slips on them, causing his hit chance to go down while he's cartoonishly trying not to fall on his ass.
The hardcore aspect is completly nuts. You can never fail. Awsome achievment!
Actually, if you check it, there was no interrupt, cuz every single rogue was either iced or MC'd and they were on the interrupt job there in rotation.
Mage is instant cast and should have a macro to cancel cast for times like this...
In that case, the interrupters who got frozen should have communicated that mages should do the rotation
@@TheZeagon In theory you're not wrong, but we'll never know if they actually tried. Keep in mind casters can't get hitcapped in classic. Given this is their first Naxx run, many of the casters probably aren't even close to hitcap. Counterspell can miss. And then there's boss spell resist.
@@MHan789 good point, but backup kick shouldnt be failing that much that id assume all mages would mash it cause you know hc final boss prog lmaooo
@@TheZeagon Yeah for sure. On my guild's first kill, I was hardly even dpsing as a mage.
Sheeping MC-ed ppl, calling out void zones (I was also RL), checking detonate mana ranges, and interrupting frostbolts. KT is hard fight in the sense that RNG can really screw you over. Was stressful but lotsa fun lol.
1:30 the chances hes talking about the same guy are slim to 0000.1% - its def not the same guy
No. It’s me. definitely the same guy lol @remek5758
I’m the only Ztriplex in WoW lol
Ahmpy truly is MVP raid leader.
Would have been cool if a GM came in at the end and was like "yo, good job, here's a res"
Man this makes me really miss classic :(
These clips only improve, keep up the editing dude the music is a great touch
Congratulations to Frontier what an amazingly impressive run! RIP to everyone who died. GG
10:00 soon as I saw those guys up there on the stage I said "oh God" out loud, PTSD is a real thing
This might be a coincidence but I went to boot camp a little over 10 years ago with a dude named Tripetta. We didn’t get to talk much but when we did he always talked about WoW. He actually convinced me to try the game out again. Probably unlikely but it could have been zTriplex. I’ll have to look him up later.
If it is, don't doxx him please. Never mention real names ever.
I went to boot camp in 2017 lol, was not me fam :)
@@ztriplex yeah I though it would be too much of a coincidence. I want to find that dude now. See if he still plays. We’d be scrubbing the head and whispering about WoW raids 😂. Nice job on this one though.
@@CMDR-Cody thanks man
@@ztriplex GJ on the kill you guys are legends.
turkey really did save windforce in less than a second with the lay on hands 45:05 - 45:06 plenty time to react though as he was originally hit at 44:49 the timing itself is insane
Yeah. The timing was down to luck though, but the reaction was crazy. 100 milliseconds sooner, and Ahmphy would probably still have died after LoH, because of that extra 20% bonk. Crazy stuff
Blizzard should give them a permanent buff that says world first hardcore nax clear or something, I’m currently doing nax on era and it’s crazy the amount of wipes on 4hm and saph
Those encounters are so hard to organize and adjust on the fly when something goes wrong
CLASSIC WOW is a JOKE its a PALE COMPARISON of what the original game was, my guild couldnt defeat Nax because of how hard it was, so FEW were able to do it, and THAT made it special for those that did it.
Stacked is an understatement.....10 distilled wisdoms from the priest on Sapphron?
They have a priest in each group casting prayer of healing which heals everyone in their party.
Hardcore classic is pretty damn special.
My friends and I were in Asmongold's guilds Asgard and Pariah during Wrath of the Lich King. My friends were brothers who lived down the street from my house and we would all get together and play for years. Those were some of the best times of my life. One of them ended up passing away, I recently got into Season of Discovery because of this video and it's honestly the best game ever. This run for world first is one of the most inspirational things ive ever seen in gaming. Truly a motivational video. Thanks for keeping gaming interesting
I'd watch a whole series of Asmon explaining raid mechanics.
@@chronology556 you can but they nerfed it years ago i think. im sure its still probably doable to some extent though
It’s like what my Sargent said to us in Nam- “MEN! 50 of you are going in there; 25 of you aren’t coming back.”
Ahmpy pulling through and keep leading the raid after dead... Absolute legend!
14:44 Phx is dead? I've never played wow, but I watch when I can, can someone explain?
feign death is a hunter ability, it just shows that hes dead on the raid frames but he the hunter just ''pretend'' to be dead. you can drop threat that way
@@MarioBanatoli Thanks I heard that ability a lot but didn't know that it also shows dead on frame.
Okay well done! Classic plus please!
"Wait! Ahmpy died with my pants!" I died😂😂
Man said hypotenuse.
It is not death to him.. It's redemption
If @blizzard somehow honored Ahmpy and Frontier for this world first... they would be taking a step in the right direction
No they should not. It's hardcore. If you die you die, no matter how many hours you sank into the game, no matter how far you got, no matter who you are. It's what they signed up for.
@@Lufanoswhat they achieved is insane. Honoring them with something would be totally justifiable
@@dobattlers Giving them their character back wouldn't be justifiable though. As I said, it's hardcore.
@@Lufanos
Who said anything about ressing the character lmao
people already did immortal naxx runs on som
I was using those same addons back then. I believe that black line that is running in the middle is server ticks. The melee auto attacks were monitored so you could step into range at the end of the tick and land a hit while staying out of range in-between swings. Fun times.
kinda wild to see this happen after so long, on hardcore. Congrats. Most people wont understand the sacrifices made to get there, quite impressive.
1 month and a half? lol
@mrtazza you say that way too casually
The leader diying, some of your best players going down aswell, but, in the end, you make it. You spent days, weeks, playing with some of these characters, overcoming difficulties, making progress and achieving goals, and now some of them are gone forever minutes before the final destination. Its interesting how classic HC delivers this bittersweet feeling
Man, just imagine if like right as they pull the server crashes an they all disconnect. I'd just literally kill myself
