What Ive learned about Asmon is that whenever he says "Big damage" there is absolutely no damage happening
Lol, I tought he was ordering big damage abilities but now I realize I am assuming WOW has that kind of tactic and that Asmon is good at leading.

Funny but my recollection of playing WoW long ago, just about everyone, including me, Kara had a special place in their heart. I also liked the re-release of Naxx, that was fun (during WOTLK, I started playing right after Sunwell had been released in BC, I stopped playing just before ICC was released in WOTLK). Kara was where I fell in love with WoW, Kara was where I went from being a total noob to learning raid discpline, how to maximize my warlocks's DPS (and where I learned that I was very wrong for "not bothering with that quest line to get that other familiar").
one of my favorite raids, with the best memories I have, out of all the raids in the game. i liked the lore, the layout, the amount of trash pulls, the state of the classes, 10 player size, the music/ambiance, boss mechanics, etc etc. ty for sharing

Raiding Karazhan and playing 3v3 arena are my favorite memories of WoW

If he is taking the role of main tank then it make sense, you gear 1 tank 1st and then the rest this is the same as in classic, and he probably said what loot he would take without rollling, i think is more funny that he took 7 casters + ret/holy pally in order to keep all plate armor and still got nothing LMAO.
Kara was my first real raid, so I will always love Kara even though I stopped playing WoW mid WOTLK (life, career, family, no time to play video games). Our first kill of Malchazzar (spelling?), I was a destro lock, and I was the last person standing, and the logs showed that the last damage I did on him barely killed him before I also died, then the screams filled the ventrillo, I didnt' know what happened until the raid leader told me "we did it!". We were a mediocre bunch of players on a very unprogressed server, but to us, it was an insane day.

Man the poor blind dragon during Cats always got to me.
Also I like the boss dropping only a couple items and rolling on them instead of everyone getting a drop basically for themselves.

weve done 100s of karazhan runs in private servers, the drops are heavily skewed into caster stuff. like no joke 80-20 probably more.
He acted like a baby after about loot when they were trying to do gruuls lair. It was hard to watch

He has 13k health on his first clear in T3 ... I distinctly remember our MT for our first Kara having 9300 health
Yeah people who are surprised that T4 was cleared in a day... This is why. If you have leveling greens and blues with an epic or two from heroics, it'll take you a lot longer to make progress in Kara. Not that it's a super hard raid, but I'm sure it will take many guilds several weeks to really make good progress.
Yeah I love Asmon but it’s streamers like him making the game have a toxic community. Because once the raid gets cleared the first day there is like an unrest in guilds that they are behind. Then you have people spending hours upon hours to try and “catch up” to those who already cleared. It sets an unrealistic standard for people who aren’t streamers or who do have a job
@@ItztoobadthatI Sorry bro but this is an awful awful take. For a start, if your mentality is being affected by the fact you're not as good as someone else, that's 100% a you problem and has absolutely nothing to do with the person you're comparing yourself to.
Secondly, these raids are very easy. They can and will be cleared in the first raiding week of many people with aren't streamers and have jobs. If this isn't you, that's fine, you can take as long as you want to clear the content. You can't however, expect others to slow down to your pace or be upset at them when they don't
@@hrdii678 Not once did I put myself in the shoes of the community. I’m one person not the majority. I personally don’t care. But the vibe has shifted in even the open world to this race to be first. I hop on the game to kill some boars not have some dude who’s been playing for 20 hours take the mob them emote spit at me and laugh then dip out. Classic is slowly turning into the shit I got away from retail for. And also, before you speak you should maybe read the entirety and comprehend when someone talking it’ll save your fingers

Access to information is fast and easy, there are a million guides for everything, so people are just more efficient and generally more tryhard too. This was very obvious on classic release, and isn't the fault of any individual or group, but just the way the gaming community in general has grown.

You said streamers like Asmongold are increasing toxicity in the community by clearing raids so fast, which I replied to. You said it sets an "unrealistic standard" for people who aren't streamers and have jobs, and I also replied to this exactly.

That was fun to watch. It brings back memories of the old team.
10 man dungeons always had and have the most well balanced and fun group play where CC is needed and a must. Lots of great dungeons that are open with interesting bosses and mechanics. Always felt that 20+ design was not good by comparison. Kara and ZA both had great 10 man mechanic and I wish all raids would have been ten man.
I don't remember the huge one but the one in the desert where it also drops like a ton of different colors of one Vanilla mount, that one was simply annoying beyond belief, always end up with at least ten kids who act like jerks and make it difficult -- I agree, 10 man was the best feel, the best experience. With the right guild, 25 mans were not too bad but so difficult to schedule and pull off.

hell I even seen pool so much rage on a boss as fury also. He could pool some rage when trash is about to die to chain pull but he doesn't. With pull trash he does not chain pull like when the other tank mob was low health and the dps/healers had mana.

@Epic I honestly believe that he knows how to play it but why should he bother ? he's just there to make content and since people aren't watching him for his gameplay who cares if he presses the same button for 3 hours straight. Its whats starting to piss me off about asmon he has a opinion about the game but he does not really play the game the stream plays the game for him its both like this in retail & TBCC its pretty tilting and extremely obvious since the last 1/2 months
@Epic weaker end game. T6 and sunwell fury is top dps. Prot is BIS tank for all of TBC.
rotation, it is more of Priority. shield block, shield slam, then demo, sunder until 5, revenge, HS if above rage cost of shield slam.
Big damage as prot. sure dude.
@Epic In TBC tanks do not do damage, they barely break 400-500 dps if you try hard. out side of pallies on aoe pulls.
Where in full 70 blues a hunter will hit 1k easy.
TBC you can't DW tank and have world buffs to give you 10% crit, and a ton of AP to carry your damage.
Talking about tanks not doing damage shows you do not know what you are talking about.

Every raid is easy if you done it a thousand times. Its Just like asmon said in his latest Video. If you would repeat any retail mythic raid race that took a week+ to clear with the knowledge of today and the gear they had back then. The whole raid would be cleared in 1 day easily.
Its just a matter of creating strategies and ppl getting used to the fights

Oh boy Karazhan. the greatest raid ive ever had the pleasure to roflstomp through. even when my sweaty guild had hyal and bt on farm status we had kara in the weekly raid schedule. but we had a nice little twist, since its a 10 man we made 2 grps at the same time and raced each other for who is a ble to full clear it first. but the second twist was after clearing it your whole grp switched to alts and went at it aigan. winner was who finished with alts first. so much fun and shittalking, since of course both grps where in the same teamspeak channel. damn i miss those times.
And I just got my fiery war horse mount on retail wow a while back.

Dragon's breath on aran is bugged. It ticks at (2+1)k each second four times in a row. Basically it has to be on a mage or a high hp target (bear for instance) in order to survive.
Very nice run, that frustration when Asmon only got one item LOL :D
asmon is actually so good at managing people and influencing them in ways they can relate and respond to, and he hides it in his character and pretends its just accidental oh thats just how he is.

I remember doing kara back in 2007-8 and it's notorious for dropping cloth and leather healing gear....i had to run it like 10 times to get first plate gear i was pissed

I forgot which color beam it was during Netherspite- but warlocks can time it with Curse of Doom, and when the boss phases, CoD pops for like 30k+ damage.

I still remember CNWOWers cleared all T4-T6 raids in less than 2 days after released in 2007, after almost a year behind the original release schedule.

Kara is still to this day my favorite raid of all time probably 100% due to nostalgia but man those were good times playing with my stepdad and our guild being able to have hom back me up on staying up past "bedtime" just to get one more boss down man so much fucking fun

My clan ran Karazhan when it first came out in TBC and I was the tank. Literally nothing dropped for me if I recall. I was super pissed.
