Mountain biking’s such a head game, if you’re not used to riding in certain conditions that fear of the unknown creeps in. Here in the U.K. we have to ride the slop for 6 months of the year though so I can give you some tips! Lower tyre pressures, less front brakes, momentum and stay loose. Embrace the slop 💩

Love the video brochacho editing on point 🤟 I had that same feeling today when I was riding angelfire NM. I had to call it. Was in over my head doing double blacks when I'm an actual blue trail rider. Hands cramping up. Sometimes you have to stop while you're ahead 👍

Great content as always Bobo nothing like riding with friends or just people you meet at the trails but such a missed opportunity for a step brothers reference on a boat with a microphone you and MasterNate could’ve really put on a stellar concert
Yeah I rode there a couple weeks back. Talladega was super blown out. Drop out has gotten a touch rougher at the entrance, but Reach Around is still super good. Took me three runs to start feeling the nerves calm down. It was my first trip back since my shoulder separation. The hype is real. The Rock is legit scary!
Bobo, if it makes you feel better, a Windrock blue is pretty much a black or double black everywhere else. We’ve ridden all over the country over the past few months (from NC to CA), and I’m yet to find anything that’s comparable to a Windrock black trail.

I used to always be horrified after my big accident but honestly what really helps, is riding dirt jumps whenever you can. It's pretty low pressure and helps get your confidence back

Talledega is definitely the worst trail there right now
I was there last November and Talledega was super chattery then. A bit disappointing to see that its still in the same shape considering how cool that place is to ride.
It was completely unrideable last time I was there. If they’re gonna advertise something there as a flow trail, it should be cave boy. It’s steep as balls, but it’s loamy and buttery smooth

I went to my local bike park a couple weeks ago and spent $40 to get in. Rode for about an hour and a half and realized I wasn't feeling it. Planned out the whole weekend for camping and everything all revolving around riding the park. Shut it down before I sent myself straight to the hospital doing something stupid. Sometimes you're on point, sometimes not so much. Experienced riders know when to call it a day even if it's before you've even gotten warmed up.

Windrock is SICK! I broke my collar bone and my neck a couple of years ago at the entrance of lower windmill. Definitely ups the stakes even more when it's wet! 🚴

I fell you man I crashed and spent some good time in the hospital and ended up with a concussion ever since I’ve been kinda timid when riding and often skip features all together.
After watching bob rode his bike, I can safely say he could use a few steps back to a hardtail to sharpen those skills and take some slop out of his mechanics

I'd appreciate some advice from the community:
Speaking of performance anxiety (13:37), I just recovered from my second rib cage + ground incident within the past year. (Maybe no more jump tracks for this old goat.) I find it hard to want to ride. When I do, it's been pretty reserved and cautious. I've been trying to get past this, but I don't know what to do. I feel just like Bobo.
I sweat with fear. I start slow and slowly build up. Sometimes I walk up the smallest feature 3 or 4 times and what hurts is the lack of the speed. The little , a fraction of the fear and she just does it

I've never once went to Windrock and left feeling like a competent rider. Except for Mix Tape trail, but thats in the "XC" area. And who the hell drives to Knoxville for one trail thats not even in the DH park?
