Well done guys, moving your floating home... definitely get the stress with that. The boys need a ramp / boarding plank.... then you can say you’re making them walk the plank!
First to comment! Tips that I can give you regarding cruising, 1 always take your time around locks untill your confidence builds, don't worry about others waiting 2 if it's windy and passing another boat always keep a few revs going to help with steering 3 in a cross wind or current steer the bow into the wind and give the engine a few more revs than normal 4 keep your diesel tank topped up so there is less room for condensation to form and drip down into the fuel and give you problems that way and most important if you see a bridge that looks a bit low DUCK!! Even if it's not as low as you thought it looked it safer than finding out the painful way, enjoy the winter!
We’ve only been On five day holiday and the first day or two was super stressful but some friendly people on the cut giving us tips and advice helped a lot. It’ll be grand 👍🏻
Yip, stressful is the correct word. We hired a boat for a long weekend, it rained had to negotiate locks and other barges, had to maintain it ,stressful is how I would describe it t!!!
Haha this reminded me of my first trip out on my 56ft boat to me it was the size of a cruise ship 🤣 By the way we have a sweepstake going on when you fall in 🤣 Enjoy its making me want another boat now. As you guys are constantly cruising get a book and fill in daily how far you travel or stayed at 1 place this is your boat logs in case CRT question you Enjoy
This is great, we love walking along canals and have always wondered what’s it like to live on a boat, so looking forward to some more vlogs, cheers Rus 🤙🏻
There are some miserable f*ckers around, I bet you were polite and humble, and probably told him you were new to the whole boating game, yet he was still a misery. I despair at people in general today ! Are you watching "cruising the cut" I've never had a boat but I'm subscribed to him, I would imagine his early videos would be useful for you both.
3mph would seem like fun for a bit, but then I would be wanting to go faster!!! Locks, nope don't like the idea of them. So what have you done with your van, as clearly you can't fit that on your boat. Maybe you should have L plates on the boat so the miserable people might be less miserable and angry when you accidently bump their boat. Safe cruising!
People are moving on to boats for the wrong reasons. Its NOT CHEAP. Its hard work. The weather is changeable. And its starting to attract some unpleasant people who are not boaters. These vlogs are encouraging more town and city folk who want to change our way of life

Now I have heard that you’re not fully initiated until you’ve “had a dunk “ by accident of course 🤣

@@TheNomadicVeteran i dont like vlogs that encourage more economic floaters👊🏻👊🏻
All the advice is great and helpful for us new boaters, but most importantly remember to enjoy yourselves and have fun.
