Great video and HUGE drive which tells about your enthusiasm and desire to find where to settle 🤩 Funny to see that we are in the same process to buy a property in Portugal for similar reasons. Something you may already know: we've been told that for land plots you have to be really careful and go check the ownership, location and size at the town hall as real estate agents are only meant to make the transaction happen and they don't really care if there is a problem somewhere. Therefore a solicitor/lawyer is mandatory to avoid being screwed. For houses, as it involves land, it's the same. For apartments in a co-property it's more straightforward and less risky. Hope you're gonna find your land very soon!
Nice to have some data for a while and catch up with your antics. Having just spent 10 weeks cruising through France I’d happily buy a small pad there to settle - not sure what though, or how!! Good luck with your hunt guys. Andy
What an epic journey! You guys will find something nice in Portugal just don’t pay too much. Looks like prices have quadrupled. Some of these places have sat empty for 40-50 years so make low offers and be ready to walk away. It’s gotta be okay for the dogs, don’t forget about those caterpillars in pine trees, so no pine trees, no wild boar. Okay I’ll stop now haha! 👍
It's great to see you. Sorry about Hooch hope he feels better soon & the cyst goes away. As for the property are you looking for off grid ? I follow two English couples and both have said make sure the land has water & buildings already on the land. If it's on grid you won't have that problem. I'm sure you will find the right place no matter what. Take care and good luck with your search 🤗
@@TheNomadicVeteran I'm so happy he's not going to lose his tail. Don't give up, you will find that special place to call home .. I wish you nothing but happiness in the next chapter of your lives 🤗
COOL road trip (dash) across Europe!!..... . I met my girl online, MSF date site(not 'Medecins Sans Frontieres' obvs). Shame the land didn't work out. Everything for a reason an all that. Safe travels guys.
Rambling is no problem at all, no rush - longer videos are much better for RUclips's algorithm anyway. There's a lot of reports of Portugal clamping down a bit on wild camping these days, will be interested to hear if that's legit or nonsense. Hope you guys find what you're looking for! We're at Lake Annecy in France at the moment, Italy & Greece next hopefully then Portugal later in the year. Cheers :)
You r certainly in the right country for cheap land and then residency! From other channels i follow, there is a lot of choice so you have time to find the plot that ticks all your boxes.
@@TheNomadicVeteran Good point and a good idea to think carefully - i often wonder if those guys who just bought the spot of wilderness in portugal, usually with little or no water, will be so happy in a year or two...we get bored after a few days in one place in our van and need a change of scenery!
Ola da Lisboa!! Of course you are back in Portugal!! Good luck finding your place in this incredible country!! We just made and accepted a counter offer on our dream project in Lisbon...Taco resto!!! Come see us in the future...We will have vegetarian options!! Where are you? Glad Hooch is on the mend!!
I bet!! So, we hope to be open in a couple of months if all goes well...So far everything has gone well with our move and the Portuguese so welcoming!! Keep you in the loop!! ❤Lisboa
Portugal .... very interesting and I was clearly wrong with where I thought. Though what are the plans when you finally plant your flag ? Are we talking settling down or business opportunities .... either way, very intriguing stuff indeed. I would have like to have seen the decrepit celeiro and mule that you passed up on though .... hehehe .... A castelo next surely
Cant tell you how much I've missed TNV videos. Long drive to find out it wasnt for you dude but as I always say, you either win or you learn. I'm positive what you're after isn't too far way. Sand-twat house was only a waypoint bro. Big love to the McD Clan and give hooch a get well from the Glens. Also, wheres the Cookie and Hooch merch at? TNV? GBCC?
You didn't make a mistake, its just not the one obviously, we looked at several bits of land and didn't find "the one" but its out there. Wishing you the best of luck with the search guys. It will be worth it in the end ❤
I met my partner on a dating website too, poor wee Hoochie boy, Give him some love from me, cookie as well obviously. Shame about the land, What is it about Portugal? A few RUclipsrs I watch are buying or have bought land in Portugal.
Nothing wrong with meeting your wife on line dating. I met my partner on live and we have been together for just over 8 years. Love your utube channel.
You didnt make the wrong choice, you just had to cross the united states of europe to find out it wasn't for you.You will find your place if it's meant to be .The only place I would leave Whitley Bay for is Canada.
