@@OmANnIe Hi Annie! Well, so far I went to the hardware store and the staff at Ace was great. They showed me which doorknob set to buy and told me how to do it. They were male & encouraged me. They said girls can do this too, no problem! I haven't done it yet but will this week.

Thank you for this awesome video. The printed instructions are usually not clear. I had to change the deadbolt set when the lock on the knob was sticking and not working consistently. Looks like you can see through wood cause I could not get the screws on the lower handle to align. And I also tried the long setting.
I had the same problem yesterday.
I’m having that problem right now. I’ve re installed and uninstalled it so many times and every time it doesn’t line up.

Is there a trick to lining up the bolts on the door knob
The knob/locking portion came off right away, but the old deadbolt where the key goes with the spoke that goes into the hole wouldn't separate from the mechanism or the door. I think it's just old and stuck and if I whack it with a hammer it should come out, but I was wondering if that sound right before I hit anything. Can someone help?

You actually should have used that new deadbolt plate with the 4 screws 2 regular screws and 2 long security screws

This video made me way too confident lol. My knob is in the right place but it’s not locking. Omg help me 😔😔😔
My doorknob lock seems upside down from the deadbolt lock but it doesn’t fit if I try to do it the other way. Now instead of putting the key in the deadbolt and straight to the doorknob, I have to turn the key upside down🤷🏾♀️
We are unable to remove the lock after removing the front and back knobs. The lock spins in place, but does not slide out. It’s the Defiant door lock and deadbolt.

Why wouldn't you explain the complications of when the inside door knob want just slide on and then the problem with lining the holes together. I wish I would have never saw this video and just paid someone to do it for me you made it look so easy like I could really do it but you didn't explain everything

Probably the ppl who put the locking plate inside the door the wrong way because he forgot to mention it won't latch if you put it in the opposite direction lol! That slanted bezel has to go towards the door so it can shut. I always watch 2 videos to make sure the 1st one didn't miss something. This case this was the 2nd, thank goodness I watched the 1st lol!

Has anyone in the world ever thought that if it burns on the inside of a door with a knob, it is impossible to open the door because the skin `melts` off the hand!
