I've long said that Elliott Easton is the master of the "get in and get out" rock guitar solo. Not a note wasted anywhere, the guy is a genius. Listen to the solo in "Tonight She Comes" if you need any more proof. Thanks for THE definitive lesson on this great song Andy, got your Christmas album download too, thanks so much.

You can learn this song on a lot of pages. However, if you wanna learn it the right way, this is where you wanna be. Not just this song either. All his lessons seem to be done right. It may not be quite as easy but if you're gonna play it, play it right. Many thanks to this guy for taking the time to do this.

Elliot is very underrated. This solo should be ranked in the top 10 rock solos for sure. The bends and half steps alone, are so precision!

Elliot Easton has become a focal point on my playing. I played this song w/ a band (I was Ric, as my part). We thought it would be so easy, but it's a tough song to get tight on.

I have to say I LOVE how you do this. You only took about 7 minutes to get through the bulk of the song structure. So many of these vids are impossibly tedious. You struck the right balance here in my opinion.

The Cars are god damn AMAZING! Benjamin Orr's wonderful voice as well as being the poster of looking like a rock star in his prime. Elliot;s wonderful and tasteful guitar playing. Greg Hawkes always had great keyboard work that added to the songs with out dominating. David Robinson keeping a great beat without trying to show off. and Ric writing just a ton of pop purfect masterpieces that dont sound like they are stealing from or copying anyone else, that sound new wave and futuristic but retro and classic first wave rock and roll all at the same time. were they new wave, were they power pop, im not sure what they were but they were just amazing and always had class.

When you see, or hear, these videos of hit songs being broken down like this you really understand just why groups sound like they do. Amazing how subtle differences make such huge differences.

Man Elliot Easton is so underrated. One of my guitar hero’s. His chicken pickin licks and country licks are off the charts and the reason why I started to learn those types of moves to my arsenal.

Superb lesson. Easton is an ace guitarist, master of the melodic still edgy solo, never overdone. A beauty.
