- It's been a while since pro golf has seen Brookline. Soly, Cody and Tron visit the Country Club to play a round ahead of the 2022 U.S. Open. Insight as well from Gil Hanse, who has worked extensively to restore the course.

Genuinely the most excited I've been about a US Open since Chambers Bay in '15. Course looks AMAZING.

Andy Johnson of the fried egg, also of the shotgun start, which he co hosts with Brendan Porath (the best 12 in the country). One of the best golf personalities there is.
It is going to be very fun to spot which pros get creative with the backstopping on the greens (the good kind) and roll their balls past the flag and back down to the hole locations.
It's been a pretty dry spring and early summer here in Boston. The unforgiving greens and long rough will be the source of plenty of consternation next week. Should be a fantastic championship!

I was lucky enough to get invited to play The CC last summer. I can attest, by far one of the hardest tracks I've played in my life. As a 9hdcp I shot a legit 112 lol. Beautiful and fair but man the greens, rough and fescue were just brutal and punishing. I'll be at the Open to watch this week and I'm very curious how the pros will take it on.

The actual playing surface of the course looks nice. I think layout is us open designed for sure but the immediate surrounding area and adjacent to fairway areas looks ugly and kinda reminds me of a muni course

@@commentsboardreferee7434 have to disagree there, I can agree that these players have the right to follow the money and do what’s best for them. But as a golf fan, I don’t see how this benefits out experience other than splintering the pros and tarnishing the draw to watch any golf, LIV or not. If the stakes don’t matter, (outside of money), then the golf or the viewing doesn’t really matter.
