I had to hang out with Meat and get him to an ATCO Dragway Summer Concert back in the early 80's, when I was an intern at 93.3 WMMR. He was the nicest, normal musician I met during my time there. ⭐️

Honestly the canned goods are simply sometimes better, they difference in flavor is can be just what the dish needs, and frankly you cannot replicate stuff that sat in a can for extended periods of time marinating in itself. Similar situation to wine, though to a much lesser degree. The difference in flavor between a freshly bottled wine and the same batch a year later is a lot. That said it is real easy to crutch on canned goods, and sometimes they just do not cut it.
Meat Loaf was an ABSOLUTE LEGEND. Such a down to Earth, good, decent human too. Not too many of those left in the world, especially in the music industry.

Sometimes canned and frozen are the only things you can get depending on where you live. Frozen can be quite high quality also.
Frozen and canned produce are packaged when they’re at their peak. Just as good as fresh produce most of the time
