OBR went from having less abilities to pick in each phase compared to every other army to having the most options for each of their units in each phase. They look so much fun to play with.
26:30. You returned a new stalker when you needed to heal whatever wounds were on a stalker model from that unit first before seeing if you can return 1.
I was unsure how I felt about the change to RDP, but the flood of command points really makes OBR feel like an army of endlessly drilled soldiers with several lifetimes of combat experience. They really could've used some units of archers, though.
I wondered why they were dancing merrily around the keep... I understand that a tight field has its pitfalls, but you´ll have to run or retreat and charge like Jordan did turn 2
this game highlights a couple issues with slaves, just in movement- you can really easily trip over your feet when you take multiple blobs of units. you may have been better off just running 2x5 Knights instead of 1x10, and instead of the full 15 you ran here you may have Reinforced the Theridons instead. alot easier to maneuver 6 Theridons than 10 knights, and jumping up to 6 would be better than relying on 3 as far as damage goes
With one Khorne vs. OBR game under my belt, I don't think Khorne has much hope in this matchup. There are counters for everything Khorne wants to do, and the constant Rend -2 or better from Bludgeon is almost impossible to deal with. It was the most one-sided game I've played in this edition.
Im very curious about what do you think about the Harvester. First battlerount it was too far too bring back mortek guard models? Do you think its not easy make him in position to benfit from his ability or do you think its a must have, expecially with 30 mortek guard anvil?:)
It's a must have for blocks of Mortek Guard in this new book. The Harvester ability has also been extended in the new book from 3 inches to 6, which really does help get models in range.
Hello guys! Perfect battlereport as always, I just have a small wish to see more Kharadron Overlords or Seraphon/Sylvaneth 😇 if that would be possible I would be gratefull
I think it's premature to say that. Being tanky has always been an OBR thing, and they may just naturally be a tough matchup for a list like this StD one which is more focused on sheer damage dealing than objective control. Plus StD hasn't been doing well in the meta generally, and this was filmed prior to the battlescroll that slightly buffed them and toned down a couple of the tricks OBR were able to use in this game.
OBR are in a great place, and Petrifex is still a great subfaction. I'm happy there are multiple interesting subfactions now tho! I'm most pumped by Morghasts gaining battleline. I'm planning an Arkhan + Morghasts-heavy list. Exploding 6s (5s likely with Arkhan casting) on Morghasts? Yes please.
Have you even read obr warscrolls before this game? 😅 soul guide cannot be cast on stalkers, Katakros cannot activate his aura whilst in combat and some more come to mind 😅
Simple restrictions that weren't in the last book & easy to miss. We've been learning 8+ new battletomes in recent weeks to showcase them in reports - hope you can forgive us some minor errors.
**This match was filmed before the recent battlescroll (and change to arcane Tome)**
Just FYI- in round 4- you cast soul guide on the stalkers from the soulmason-, and it only works on mortek guard and Deathriders now
You also cannot use unstoppable advance and run or retreat. It’s only when you make a normal move. Great report though, really enjoyed it!

34:20 Katakros can't use supreme lord of the bonereaper legions if he is within 3" of an enemy.
"I wasn't going to just move over and bend over."
Jordan can't help but smirk haha

Great batrep! Unfortunately the Ogroids should not have been able to use inspiring presence the turn they used unleash savagery.
Really getting into OBR and finally bought the Vanguard box. I'm interested in the paint job for them here, Katakros looks so good man
He had his 10 block of knights out of combat till like trun 3. Got to get them in ASAP. Great game!
Yeah it was too congested to get them in early with everything else, then never got the chance sadly :(
@@SeasonofWar totally get it...every game has its challenges. Loved it and thank you for the content 🙏

come on REAPERS!!

You can only use Daemonic Power on Mortals, not Ogroids unfortunately
Good catch - I just assumed they were mortal since they're not daemons. Sad day :(
let's see more of those top s2d lists on the channel rather than tuned down ones, they're taking a beating!
We always want to showcase variety - it gets stale playing the same lists!
Ogroids don't have the MORTAL keyword, so they can't be targeted w/Demonic Power
I don’t think Katakros could have used supreme lord on t4? He was within 3 inches of an enemy?
Nop, he couldnt do it.
Sorry if this was mentioned in one of your other videos but what colour is the bone of the Ossiarch army? I absolutely love the look
Who does the music in your videos?! Its great, and perfect for Warhammer
wait, wasn't arcane tome removed from wizards?
Yes it was but they probably filmed this a while ago, videos gotta be edited and uploaded and all that
Nice showcase, would be fun to see if Khorne can make it through the endless horde that OBR is

Yesss finally!! 😊
Where are the terrain pieces from? They look very good.

Chaos Knights and hammer are... Oof yeah. Not something I'd ever call them :)
Never have been never will be 😅
The lists ware deleted, where can i find them? :/
Just replaced the link - should work now, sorry!
@@SeasonofWar thanks, now is working ;)

Different narrator this video?
OBR and KO seem to be the two battletomes that are a bit overtuned.

Morghasts are such amazing models, I really hope we get to see them shine soon!
Still amazes me that there are still people that think charging right into Mortek + Harvester is a good idea then get upset that they're tanky, lol.
Ryan wasn't upset - just pointed out that there's nothing he can really do, Slaves aren't able to do much by just sitting out of combat waiting!
