- Kawasaki has updated its entire 650cc lineup to meet BS6 emission norms, and this includes the two most popular models: the Ninja 650 and Z650. Both bikes have received a fresh new look, a cleaner burning engine and fancy new features like Bluetooth-equipped TFT dashboards and LED lighting. But on the flipside, they’ve also become more expensive by around Rs 30,000. So, are the changes for better or worse? And are the updated 650s worth the premium? That’s what we’re here to find out

Fantastic review! I ride a 2019 Z650 mostly on twisty hills and I'm not that much into speeding. Stock tires were incovenient on wet surfaces so I changed to Mitas Touring Force and they were a little cheaper than Pirelli Angel GT or Metzeler z6 Roadtec but I am very pleased how they handle in all conditions but some say that these tires aren't ment for crazy fast speeding type of riding. These tires are optional for calm riders that want better mileage. I also noticed a slight increase of gas consmption and a little decreased acceleration. Z650 is a fantastic bike but for my height 6ft/182 cm and weight 209pounds/95 kilograms I think I should have choosen a Versys 650. Ride safe ✌️

actually both are really great intermediate sport and super naked bikes and more suitable for Indian roads and riders. ninja 650 with less sportier seating its really versatile also the z650. u can do city ride track and tour yes the ninja 650 does and z650 also

Nice video, would the restricted z650 be a good beginner bike, or would it be too powerful?
I started out on a z650 2 years ago and just now growing out of it. I think it’s perfect. You can go full throttle without looping it or losing control. It’s a perfect starter bike
Unrestricted Z650 is a good choice for beginners because it has electronic safe systems.

It’s a mandatory accessory as per the rules.. Knowing that the first ‘modification’ every Kawi owner does is the removal of the grill, they source this ugly and ultra wide guard from a local manufacturer

Who would buy a zx6r now..... Ninja 650 is perfect for me
Totally different bikes. The Ninja 650 is a sane bike. Plenty of power but not scary and a comfortable riding position. The ZX6r is a track focused bike with insane power delivery and a very hard committed riding posture. Many mature riders find the Ninja 650 power delivery to be too tame.
Can we remove that fence look like things (idk what is called) on the side of the both bike,

Honda 650 2021 bs6 4 cylinder is much better than this 650 ninja 2 cylinder main is sound of both bikes a 4 cylinder v 2 cylinder. Honda gives now slipper clutch in new model with new graphics that looks amazing . Firstly honda launch in Europe than at last they launch in india. So be ready for that.

BS6 Duke owner..I know the heartaches all too well....dang!.....i hate t when i scratch the bash plate every time i ride with an pillion...heck in some of the most lethal and harshest speed breaker, a higher speed even without a pillion will result in you scraping your bash plate.....

I am a bit sceptical about the Telescopic fork instead of a USD Fork.
Also is the rear swing arm adjustable to accommodate a 180 section fat tyre?
But overall they are indeed great bikes.

13.3 is slow; seeing as how the ninja 400 does the quarter in 13.1-13.5. Rider mod maybe might help?
Why it still not comes with usd
I prefer z650 because:
-it is quicker because of light weight
-best TFT display
-naked bike is suitable for daily use

@Brendon Fernandes maintenance cost is at higher side, in first year I managed to clock 5k and now because of Corona I think in two years it will complete 8k.
One last question, I have seen almost all the foreign reviews of the z650 and most of the reviews are good however this is the first review mention about negative things. Are Indian spec kawasaki's are different from rest of the world?

NINJA 650 is not aggressive,is there any option to put the other aggressive handlebar?
You can go for the zx-4r or the zx-6r for that. The Ninja 650 doesn't have a committed posture due to it being a sports tourer.
What’s the black frame on the rear left of the bikes for?
That is a saree guard. Saree is an indian women attire, which has a potential to get entangled in the wheel / chain.
