Same! At first i was like 'what the heck is this song' because it doesn't sound like Day6 at all and I got confused the entire time listening to that song. But at the second listening I started to embrace its weirdness lmao
I actually just played their album for the first time while I was running and I had to hold my laugh so hard at emergency cuz I was 'wth even is this' XD But now I love it, so I feel ya

I love how they talked abt Ouch's portrayal of lowkey anxiety cause it makes sense...catch the chorus going in and it is like softly haunting in your head and then it builds up in sungjins part to conclude in younK's "banana" part as realization that "OK I'm hurting, this hurts, this is really afecting me and US as a whole"

Not to mention how they combined samba and montuno-- two completely different styles-- adds to the "anxiety" Ouch is supposed to portray. Genius! :)
@@joyce_lui I think that was an accident though. People tend to confuse bossa, montuno, samba, and other Brazilian/Latin American/West African styles
In my opinion, Entropy is the best album of the year. I mean, all songs are great and it’s been long time since it’s released but i’m not sick of listening it every single day endlessly. I should say that the lyrics are also amazing. So trust and listen DAY6 guys. Thank you Bang Chan for recommendation and Classical Musicians for reacting these masterpieces 💙 (sorry for my mistakes)

A little Jae vs YoungK here. YoungK’s style of music making is a lot more in line with Day6’s style purely because he has been involved in more of the songs. All of the members are involved, but I think he and wonpil are a more like the brain(brian) of the group when it comes to composing/ lyric writing. Jae’s musical style is a little more “out there” which explains why Emergency didn’t have what you would expect melodically from any classic Day6 song. On this album Jae was more involved with “About Now” and “Emergency” which, on an album where Day6’s sound evolved a lot, were the songs that I felt were kind of “out there. ”
All of this being said, I tend to prefer the youngK camp of song writing as opposed to Jae’s because our music preferences seem to be a little different, but I’m still happy to see it whenever Jae spearheads a song to really make his mark in the group’s discography and add layers to what we can expect from Day6 in the future. Before hearing Emergency, I would have never guessed that Day6 would make a fun song like that, but now I’m excited to see when/how they would try it again.
About Now is one of my favorite songs on the album personally. It’s very chill, they all use a soft delivery that sounds great, and I’m personally a big fan of robotic voice effects like vocoders. I had no idea that Jae was more involved with it.
At this moment i was torn between watching this reaction while JYPE dropped "You Can STAY Teaser." Like what the. I'm bearly living. 😭

Emergency made me confused at first because it's weird and "not so Day6". I thought it was gonna be my least fav. But somehow, now Emergency even become a song that I search first when I want to listen to Day6 especially when I want to be pumped up.

The first time I listened to Emergency, I was surprised cause it's not Day6 typical sound. But having Jae as my bias, I immediately knew Jae is the one responsible for that song lol. I love it!

in regards to the "ouch" reaction, i love how they went in to explain the differences in samba and montuno...how they emphasize different beats. truly reflects the message of the song and how they are clearly on different pages now in their relationship.

I like how umu didn't make the title a clickbait because this song was recommended by Bang Chan. Some other people who got this kind of shoutout will be at least mentioning Bang Chan's name on it, and maybe putting his photo on the thumbnail.

That's actually what I really love about OUCH, and kpop in general, is mixing genres. It creates great new sounds! When you're a third party outsider you don't feel as chained to the 'rules' of a genre. That's the main reason why Swedes got so good at pop music in the 90s. They were getting all sorts of musical influence and had no rule book to tell them what to do.

I wasn’t really into Emergency until I saw the legendary VCR. And after watching the drum focus, I began to appreciate Emergency more. It’s a very interesting song with interesting bassline and this song showcase Dowoon’s ability well as a drummer.

I always think it’s interesting when the pairs mutually agree on not liking a song as much (here it’s Kevin and Isaac) and I think that tends to happen more often than not. I wonder if that’s due to in-person influence or just that they’re paired to play similar instruments/have particular chemistry?
