    😢😢❤Thank you I needed to know this I was treated very badly. During a mental health crisis. The police 👮‍♀️ not only demanded and removed me my children from are home . Did not give a reason demanded I leave or my children will be taken. To later arrest me at my sisters house for picking my children up and it was male cops hit me . I want more information on the Mental Purity Law . Against how I was treated by the cops 😢.

      Look up the Human Rights Act and all Acts that are in place for mental health. That is awful treatment and the act can so easily be manipulated and abused. Always good to be hot on legislation and get advice from a solicitor in the know. ❤

    The term 'mental disorder' is really awful. Please don't use it.

      It's the language used in the act which, believe it or not, is actually improved from how it used to be.

      @@tyremanguitars Kinda, you're not far off lol. The original had different categories of people that were subject to being detained under the Mental Health Act like this:
      In this Act-
      "mental disorder" means mental illness, arrested or incomplete development of mind, psychopathic disorder and any other disorder or disability of mind and " mentally disordered" shall be construed accordingly;
      " severe mental impairment" means a state of arrested or incomplete development of mind which includes severe impairment of intelligence and social functioning and is associated with abnormally aggressive or seriously irresponsible conduct on the part of the person concerned and "severely mentally impaired" shall be construed accordingly;
      " mental impairment" means a state of arrested or incomplete development of mind (not amounting to severe mental impairment) which includes significant impairment of intelligence and social functioning and is associated with abnormally aggressive or seriously irresponsible conduct on the part of the person concerned and "mentally impaired" shall be construed accordingly;
      "psychopathic disorder" means a persistent disorder or disability of mind (whether or not including significant impairment of intelligence) which results in abnormally aggressive or seriously irresponsible conduct on the part of the person concerned;
      The updated version of the act just says mental disorder, and removes learning difficulties as mental disorders covered under the act:
      In this Act-
      “mental disorder” means any disorder or disability of the mind; and “mentally disordered” shall be construed accordingly;
      and other expressions shall have the meanings assigned to them in section 145 below.
      But a person with learning disability shall not be considered by reason of that disability to be-
      (a)suffering from mental disorder for the purposes of the provisions mentioned in subsection (2B) below; or
      (b)requiring treatment in hospital for mental disorder for the purposes of sections 17E and 50 to 53 below,
      unless that disability is associated with abnormally aggressive or seriously irresponsible conduct on his part.

      Mental Illness I believe is the most used description. No matter how it’s labeled I think it’s just another label for someone who has a possible issue. It’s long overdue for people to drop the labels as we are all human and all have our own baggage. Myself I just choose to mind my own business
