Hi. I bought a Hyper Base 500 GB hard drive built ( Launchbox) with games and a new mini PC Ace Magician 16 GB 512 GB 3.4 hz. I loaded the install first features. The games play slow and the sounds are awful even with NES, SNES, Sega Genesis and DC games. I can't open PS1 games. PS2 games play decent like GTA and Burnout. Any suggestions that you may have to help resolve the issue? Thank you!

Hard to say, could be a lot of things. A quick way to see if it's software or hardware related, is to download Batocera, write the image to a spare USB device, minimum 16GB. Boot the PC from the USB drive, copy a few games on to test and see how they run compared to when running from Launchbox in Windows. If they still run slow then it could be down to a hardware issue.

@@rapsterstechhangout I returned the hard drive because I personally think some file is missing or the drive is not working property. I don't know what it is or know what setting to fix. When I think about it, I don't see the plug and play aspect if you have to mess with the settings all the time to fix the issues expect for controller setups which I totally understand. I have a pretty good PC as I decribe it to you previously and capable of handling NES through at least PS2 play. I 'm just interested in retro games. As for Batocera, I appreciate the tip but time is valuable for me and I don't want to mess with downloads on a new PC as well. When I receive the new drive, Ill let you know. Thanks!

Hi, they should be kept after a reboot. The only thing I can think is that you have them pointing to a removable drive and something about it changes following a reboot?

@@rapsterstechhangout i am using a 1TB internal for storage and i am linking the files from that storage toward userdata/roms. Works fine until i reboot the system. then they become yellow as files and are not visible. Until i relink them again
