will it autowork for sub dirs? i.e., completely link the ENTIRE /roms folder to somewhere else, as i have a 4tb ext drive with all roms in sub folders, but could use your method to use retrobat on multiple pcs, but always link /roms to my ext drive...?
would be cool to do with NAS, esp for save states and memory card files!! 👍👍

awesomely simple, thanks! is there also a way to create a symlink where you keep the folder on original drive, but also have another folder with additional files for the symlink? ie - if you have the roms/windows folder with games in it, and want to keep the current ones there, but then have a windows/ folder on the X drive with additional windows games.. can you just add a symlink folder to the X drive inside the original drive roms/windows folder and that will work?

The folder can only exist in one place at a time. What you could do is have the ROM folders on the original drive with some games in, but then setup symlinks for individual subfolders.

Yes, you will be able to link a ROMs folder on drive A to a ROMs folder on drive B, so all the games sit on drive B but also appear to be on drive A.
