In this video we’ll be taking a trip back in time to 1999 to look at a Sonic Adventure review penned by none other than writer, presenter, producer and satirist Charlie Brooker in the UK’s Official Dreamcast Magazine.
If you’re from outside of the UK, you may know him best as the creator and writer of Netflix’s BLACK MIRROR series. Outside of this, his massively library of excellent shows includes A Touch of Cloth, his various ‘Wipe’ series (Weekly Wipe, Yearly Wipe, Games Wipe etc.) Death to 2020/Death to 2021, Dead Set, an assortment of Philomena Cunk projects and much more.
He was also a writer on the infamous 2001 Special of BrassEye - which is probably my favourite comedy show of all time.
But before all that, he was a writer for PC Zone and a contributor to the UK Official Dreamcast Magazine. And that is what we’ll be looking at in this video, with Charlie Brooker’s hilarious review of Sonic Adventure for the Sega Dreamcast from 1999!
