  • "thumps up" is you like these.
    Horizontal Weaving:
    Multiples of 3 + 1 **
Row 1 (right side): Knit all stitches.
Row 2: K1 (edge), K1, *slip 2 purlwise (yarn in back), K1*; repeat from * to * to last st, K1 (edge).
Repeat Rows 1 and 2 for complete pattern.
    Grid Stitch:
    Multiples of 2sts
    Rows 1 & 2: form a K1, P1 ribbing
    Rows 3 & 4: Knit all stitches.
Repeat Rows 1-4 for complete pattern.
Hope you enjoy and try these out. Thanks for coming back and watching!
**The horizontal weaving pattern has been updated as of 11/21/13. It originally had 3 sts + sts and it is now 3 sts + 1 st
    Sorry for the mess up.

Do you have an instagram or twitter? I made the grid pattern, and I'm not sure if it looks right. Here is the link to my project on ravelry : www.ravelry.com/projects/monicalovessf/small-infinity-scarf

Looked at it and it looks great. I think it's the color of the yarn that makes it look wrong. But it looks right to me. I have a twitter account for future pictures.@KnittWhit

Suggestion: Almost every knitting video on RUclips has one flaw -- when it's time to display the final stitch pattern, the finished product, the person keeps gesturing and moving her hands, or plunking her hand on the table and covering the fabric. I want to get a good look at what it's supposed to look like, take a screen cap, so I can refer to it when I try it for myself. Please just hold it still, so we can see it clearly.
Otherwise, thank you so much, and I can't wait to try that second stitch!

I'm a VERY novice knitter who's been struggling to learn to knit on my own for years now. I've never knit anything but very basic stitch scarves and just learned to knit in the round and hope to finish a basic stockinette hat soon. Can you please recommend to me an extremely easy shawl/stole pattern for beginners (not garter or stockinette stitch, please, I'm so sick of those!) And have you ever done a video on knitting a raglan top-down top? (I'm sick of scarves and ready to branch out!)

I don't have any kind of shawl or sweater videos up yet. I'm working on adding some easy ones soon. I like searching yarnspirations.com for patterns. They have some pretty nice ones.

I can't get my pattern to look like yours either and I want too! On the second k1, p1 row do you knit first or pearl first? I love the pattern and the instructions are so easy but I'm not getting it!!! Thanks.

Cast on and bind off question- do you cast on even number or odd? When I casted on, every other row I had to slip 2 first instead of knit first. Do you bind off normally at the end?
    Thanls

      @PleasantSeas  11 лет назад

The binding off for both of these can be any, knit or purl, doesn't really matter to the patterns.
For the grid pattern cast on even.
For the weave pattern, it's written with side stitches that aren't the "actual" pattern. So remember to either not include the side stitches or to knit them, then start the pattern.
While writing this to you I realized I had the pattern written wrong. It's multiples of 3 sts + 1, not + 2. I've fixed the pattern and I hope that helps you now.

I just tried the second stitch and it came out okay, not too bad. The first one doesn't look that easy to me so maybe I'll try that one later on.
