So I have a few of these in my grow tents for plants as I actually put CO2 into my grow tents to get better plant growth. You have to let the unit run for a while before it will actually read your CO2. It starts at 500 but then will skyrocket up really high then back down. It takes a while to measure things like if you are breathing on it to try and get it to jump. As for calibration, out of the box it's good to go. I'd probably calibrate it if it's lost power for a long period of time, but as long as the battery has had a charge or it's been left plugged into a wall charger, you're good to go. This is why they come with some battery power in the unit. However if, lets say, you left it in a drawer for a few months and it's completely dead and when you turn it on you notice that your control room (the room you've tested many times before) is way off and you dont' have any environmental variables that would cause a big difference (more plants in a room / less CO2 or more people in a room or pets / more CO2) then it's time to calibrate it. Just bring it outside, preferably on a day it's not like freezing outside or 110 deg (you want it to be in the average temp/humidity) then just hold all 3 buttons and it will take 200 or so seconds to do the calibration.
Finally, this is just a tool, do not trust your life to this device. It's good and accurate but things like this degrade over time. Stuff gets caught in the sensors, light and humidity can cause it to drift in its ability to sense the levels, so replacing it every few years is a good idea. This is why you don't spend a ton of money on a sensor you can't refresh / replace the sensor on. I bought these on amazon for $40 each when they were on sale, which they do quite often.

This one actually worked better than the $240 one. Good luck. Thanks for watching.

@amuthus9912 do I need to hold all 3 buttons for 200secs or only for a few seconds and then let the calibrator outside for 200secs?
I got my sensor yesterday and I have my sensor in my tent. Connected to a power source so It can’t turn off. Because since yesterday it’s constant 400PPM and I have an INKBIRD controller ICC-500T too which says 1100PPM :( ( no WiFi)

I have to say it takes a while for it to start registering so you may have to wait and then it should kick in

Mine has an on/off setting when releasing the minus and power button together but I don't know what it's for..

That is a good question. I’ll have to do some research.

Just got this today, I am not sure about the CO2 reading is right or not but the temperature is definitely wrong. I have two other thermometers reading 20C/68F while this thing reading 15C/60F.

There must be a way that you can calibrated will have to do some research and figure that out

I have a problem: my ppm value is constant 400PPM. That’s wrong. Why it does not change ?

That’s a good question try turning it off and then back on and see if it calibrates

I just turned it on, and it tells me how much CO2 is in the air, but it takes a couple minutes

To calibrate, power off with the mjddle button, and then hold all 3 buttons at the same time for a couple seconds. It will count down from 200. Have it somewhere with a neutral temp/humidity/c02

@@TomLeeman They have one listed as wifi, to compare with others but doesn't seem for sale yet. At least on amazon. Just this one (the 3-1 unit) and one other (6-1) both non wifi. Further down on product listing, can see where they list a third (wifi one), just no option to click on it. Likely an upcoming product in other words
