Nice video. It would also be good to see a video on how Swood functionality actually compares to Solidworks in built functionality. I.e. I believe you can achieve much of this with a little effort from just Solidworks out the box. So it would be useful to see just HOW much better / where the comparative advantages are in using Swood to justify the further outlay. Thanks for the informative video though. 👍

You cannot really compare. You must be a serious solidwork expert to come close and you will still miss a lot of the features. Streamlined environments for specific tasks are unbeatable. That is why solidworks has so many tools, in the first place. Here, combined in a single tool that speaks the language of the given task and the people that have been working years on it. You get the benefita of Solidworks as a cherry on the top, because you can combine sheet metal and other modules that you are familiar with.

Can "boxes" and rules be added to curved/prism surfaces? Ie. we have curved or slanted side panels and we want to add connectors and shelves with conectors to it. Is SWOOD able to calculate the positions bases on tangents to the surface and unrolled length of sides? Can it calculate slanted cuts in any direction? That would be very helpful as not all furniture are rectangular, especially in tight, irregular spaces and caravans/boats/idiomatic architecture.

Nice but this looks more difficult to learn than SW itself. Any tutorials to learn swood?
