Since we bought our house about 4 years ago, my husband and I have been planning on turning our third bedroom into my library with floor-to-ceiling, wall-to-wall shelves, complete with a cute wooden ladder. So a bit about me, my background and my current literary quandry... I'm a 35-year-old who has loved books and reading for as long as I can remember. (Yes, I'm that old. lol 😀) I was an English major in college, but after graduation, I went into burnout mode for a long time. The Twilight Saga, which I actually didn't even hear about until after all 4 books had all been published and "Twilight" was already in theaters, is what finally helped me out of my burnout slump. I started devouring books and really enjoying reading again. I stopped caring about the Internet and TV... All I wanted to do was read and write in my journal. Unfortunately, at some point, some physical/health issues arose - issues that ultimately restricted my ability to read. So into another slump I went - my current slump. Well, my physical issues aren't as restrictive anymore, and when I look at all the glorious books that fill my bookshelves, I feel an immense desire to start reading again. I have always been a slow reader and tend to get easily distracted if I'm not totally immersed in what I'm reading, so I really need some really awesome books to help draw me back in again. The 4th and final book of 3 different series I loved reading a few years ago are currently first in my TBR lineup, but I'm really frustrated bc they took forever to come out, and it's been so long that I've forgotten alot since I read the first 3 books of each series. One way or another, I have to get out of this slump! 😀 Any tips? Pointers? Suggestions?

See I still haven't met another human being who hates Simon as much as I do from TMI. Like I don't know what it is, but I can't stand him and I feel so left out because everyone loves him! He just annoyed me so much with his whole being in love with Clary in the first two books that I never really got passed that when he finally moved on. I'm not trying to be rude, I just genuinely don't understand!

But what exactly did these characters do (beside being misunderstood for some) that made you fall in love with them? I mean you've given great examples of characters but the crush has started at some point when they did something. What did they do?
How could you said that? Dorian hasn't grow up as a good prince to face his father and win Celaena heart and Chaol is always containing himself from Celaena and fighting for her and I see their relationship passing so many obstacles that makes my heart cry. (I still haven't read HoF so maybe that could change but as far as CoM, Dorian didn't had that strong personality that could make Celaena fall in love with him)
Eva Nieves I don't think she was necessarily talking about teams. She was just talking about who she preferred more as a character. You definitely grow to love Dorian more in HoF (although I've loved him since the beginning). I really like Chaol too but for me I feel like Dorian is my "baby" of the series. That sounds weird but he's the one who I really love and wish I could just protect. He's so sweet and it melts my heart. But I don't necessarily ship either of them with Celaena. I just know that I love Dorian and want him to be happy. So I think she was speaking in terms of which character she preferred, not necessarily her ship. As for Rowan, well you haven't met him yet but let's just say after reading Heir of Fire, he quickly became my second favorite character (second to only Celaena of course).
