When I was younger. I got a 1inch albino tiger Oscar and put him in a 10 gallon tank. He started to get bigger and bigger and then I ended up getting a 30 gallon tank. Several weeks later I ended getting a 75 gallon and was hooked in the hobby. I end up getting into saltwater and seahorses and all that fun stuff! Have been a follower for a long time! Unfortunately in my living situation, I currently can’t have a tank. I will be back though!
Hey! I met a friend of yours on a Boston marathon tour bus! He did very impressively and is quite entertaining! When he mentioned where he was from, I mentioned you’re the only person I’ve heard of there. I’ve been watching you since Buddy was a wee lil guy.I cried when he passed. You haven’t been the same since. I still watch each of your vids, shorts, TikTok’s, etc. I don’t have fish and have wanted various types. Your videos give me education on everything I could possible want, didn’t know existed, and just wouldn’t mind having more info on. You cover it all. I’ve been the creep in the background of all your vids. It’s nice to meet someone who knows you. You seem more ‘real’. I hope to tour your fish house one day. I just did Cape Chignecto this passed weekend and was thinking how close I am to Turo. Mind you, I’m from Phoenix, Arizona and recently moved to New Brunswick, Canada, so you seem only an arms length away compared to when I first started watching your journey. Any hoodles, think I’ve said enough. Nice to keep watching you. Your buddy there is amazing! Loved talking and hanging with him!
so i know its a little late.... could you make the desktop itself out of acrylic? so you could actually look down at them, and they can look up? or would that just be too distracting to get anything done lol
I absolutely love my Oscars! Every day at the same time they start throwing rocks at the glass because they know it’s time to be fed.! They are so personable, and so quirky! Absolutely one of my favorite fish!🐠🦯
Joey, you are such a tease! Accidently showing us flashes of this and that! LOL! Love the Oscars in that tank! They are gorgeous! Thanks for the video! Have a good one! Oh, and hey, I love the closing song!
I have been enjoying the way you designed and redesigned your fish gallery ~ I'm 100% sure that it's going to be ridiculously perfect and the ultimate use of space for the future and that is on average 10 + years. Just a blip on your radar but not the fish that are being relocated more than normal 3rd time is the CHARM !!!! ( Unless it's a jelly 🍩
My friend moved her little 1 1/2 to 2” Oscar’s out of her 55 into a 125 and they lost all color and pouted for almost 48 hours lol. They’re perfectly fine now and love the bigger aquarium.
Used to have a tiger Oscar and an albino in a tank with some tinfoil barbs and few other random big fish, it was a very simple and easy tank and someday I might go back to something like that again.
I can’t believe I only just discovered your channel the other day. You have great content. Beautiful tanks and very informative. I noticed that you tend to prefer wild color varieties in your cichlids and that you don’t keep any color morphs. Is this correct?
Its interesting. Cuz they say 1 oscar for a 75 g, 2 oscars in 100+ gallon? So you have 5 in a 180 when based on what im thinking i would think for 5 of them you might need at 250 gallon? If you can pit 5 in a 180 i wonder if i could put 2 or 3 in a 75? But they say just one needs a 75g. Curious to your thoughts as i cant go bigger than a 75 for now. I know a 125 would be better. And i didnt know you can keep them in groups? Would be cool to put some geophagus with them? Or with 5 like yours i guess you dont need any other fish with them. Sorry for all the angles of questions. Curious to your opinions to all of this.
Love their new tank. I have albino red oscars, and they're very pretty! Wild oscars are stunning, as well. I have two of the astronotus mikoljii oscars, and they're just now developing some red.
@@StoneAquatics he could run another pipe next to the drain back to the sump and then put a pump in the sump and add it to the sump, he would just have to drill the tank
If you want a fish that demands your attention when you walk into room and interacts with you a mono peacock bass is by far the most aggressive beggar for food that I have ever seen.. my Oscars are very attentive wet dogs we call them and puffers are very attentive, my fahaka was always paying attention. But none compare to my bass. He soaks the whole fish room the moment I walk in the door he just starts going bonkers and you want to talk about a strong swimmer. And his best friend is a red tail gourami who keeps the bass in his place. I've been growing them both together since they were two inches. They're at about 14in now. I have an albino tiger oscar in there with them and he is just so much more civilized than this Maniac Bass.

Awesome end song!! Love your direction lately. Great job.
Been watching u for a long time all ways enjoy ur videos!! Thank u sooooo much for ur videos!!

My oscar also throws rocks at the glass. Such a cranky guy.
@@scottgordin9709 mine totally do that to you! It’s like getting a shower every day at feeding time!🐠🦯
@@ztotheigg definitely one of my most favorite fish of all time! So much personality!🐠🦯
Tank and fish looking insane. Tiger Oscars are my favorite Aquarium fish and I love seeing them in your videos :)
They look awesome in their new tank and their color is off the charts!
That outro😂 amazing!

@7:32 This is looking like my new Dream Tank😍
The song in the end is simply perfect!! Lol, I love it.
The outro song..😂
Was nice to hear the song!

Are you going to reintroduce them into the 2k when the other fish are big enough ?
He will likely reduce numbers as they grow, keeping a breeding pair.
Used to have a tiger Oscar and an albino in a tank with some tinfoil barbs and few other random big fish, it was a very simple and easy tank and someday I might go back to something like that again.
My Oscars were so tame, I never used a net. I caught and transferred each one by hand. They are my all time favorite fish...them and puffers.
I have always loved your Oscars ,even before you built that tank in your basement .They are beautiful, you
take such great care of my Oscars 😂 LOL
😊😻
Been so excited for this vid!
Hey Joey have you seen the recently described species of Oscar “mikolji’s Oscar” (astronotus mikolji)? Absolutely stunning.
I can’t believe I only just discovered your channel the other day. You have great content. Beautiful tanks and very informative. I noticed that you tend to prefer wild color varieties in your cichlids and that you don’t keep any color morphs. Is this correct?
Love Oscar’s! 👍👍👍
I liked the song at the end of the video, you should play it on all your videos.

🔥🤣🤣🤣 " that they truly AArrr" i just love your accent 🤣🤣🤣🔥
Digging the outro song.
San Francisco is June 2nd and Sacramento is June 3rd. I’ll see you in Sac!
Love the song at the end!!!!!
They have become huge in the time you've had them!! Beautiful fish 🐠
Holy moly those oscars are stunning❤
Hope to make it to Northern California to see you! Thank you for what you do
Your Fish look Happy Congrats!
what air store are those in the 180g?
That closing song 🤣 I like it 🤘
Fantastic looking tank!
I live in South Florida and catch wild Oscars all the time. They are very tasty to eat. I eat Oscar at least once a month.
Love their new tank. I have albino red oscars, and they're very pretty! Wild oscars are stunning, as well. I have two of the astronotus mikoljii oscars, and they're just now developing some red.
I love that setup. So cool.
Oscar's are #1!
Can't wait for mind to get that big
I love the new little outro is cool
We catch them and eat them in south Florida. There the equivalent to blue gill in the glades.
That Oscar tank looks amazing ❤😂
cool fish, my buddy had one and they have tons of personality.
What air bubbler is he using? the thing pumps!
The song at the end 🔥
Joey, you can't use that metal net, it will rust 😂😂.
Do they really taste good? I’m thinking tilapia.
The outro song is awesome.
Love the ending😂
Joey just keeps building 😅😂
I have been watching since day one and it’s come so far and amazing
I saw those rays in the 300. This man isnt good at hiding spoilers. 😂
I loved our oscar so much personality
I love the song at the end 🤣
But you have to admit, Hikari Vibra Bites is more palatable for the fish than NF. 😊
Love love love the new theme song
Joey, what kind of air pump is on the Oscar tank…..POWERFUL
So many sneak peaks to upcoming things,
Great song at the end 😂
Are you intoxicated in this video? Lmao
Totally two different joeys from this video to the videos over a month ago.
You should come back to Phoenix AZ.
You should tie the Oscar aquarium into the 2k and 375 and the 700, adding it onto that system would be pretty easy
How would that be easy? As he’s already stated it would need somewhere to drain out Wich he didn’t have a way to do
@@StoneAquatics he could run another pipe next to the drain back to the sump and then put a pump in the sump and add it to the sump, he would just have to drill the tank
I too threaten to eat my animals when they don't cooperate 😂
Wh do they not fight I had four and the fight had to separate is it because I have a couple that paired up maybe or are they just nasty
Didn't you have 6 in the beginning? What happened?
It's always the last one that's hardest to catch 😂
Who wrote that outro song and will you be using it again? (You better use it again)
Big beautiful oscars! So much for climatizing though 😂
@@cheveburkinshaw860 .. right
You should add a red devil to your collection. It's an awesome, solitary, powerful animal. Mine killed 2 full-grown Oscar's overnight. 😢
Lol the song at the end
Love Oscar’s
Joey can’t eat whoppers because of those small hands 🤣
They do taste good
The ending song😂
good morning Joey ! how's thumbnail this morning ?
Where's Thumbnail? I heard her but didn't see her! 🤣
WaterPups❤

Is thumbnail filming
Will five Oscars do okay in just a 180 long-term?
He will likely reduce numbers as they grow, keeping a breeding pair.
What?! You have a theme song?!
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Um... when did Joey get that sing-a-long theme song?
I love the fact that the new gallery seems to be a lot lighter and brighter. The old gallery always seemed so dark and gloomy.
The last one does look delicious……..
I have normal Joey says 😅we know
What happened to your 6th oscar?
Hi. Im new to Oscars. Can I ask, my Oscar does not have an anal fin. Is that normal?
Wooo!!
Good luck in San Fran... That place is a filthy mess!
I hear it reeks of death and bum piss, but it's liberal so everyone else is the problem
how early can you tell their sex?😂😅
I see him moving all this in 6 months 😂 putting big tanks on the floor, not a fan.
5 big Oscar’s in a 180? ☹️
There’s plenty room I would have more in there
My Oscar’s are lesbians. I have 3 female 1 male and the females paired up lay eggs together and make sure the male stays far far away from them
Mind are albino oscars
😢
1st :D
