I vote for Babel, it'sthe next physical book on my TBR and I'm very much looking forward to it ! Hey, you'll be getting nice muscles lifting those piles of books ^^
My vote is for The Boy, the Mole, the Fox, and the Horse. I hauled it a while ago, but haven't had a chance to read it yet. I hope your reads go well. Have a great month.
I have that Don Quixote edition. I liked the first half. The second half was still pretty good, but it was harder to read. I vote for the Book Thief. It's on my physical TBR also.
Many seem to not like the second half of the book. It was written separately, so that makes sense. Hopefully, I get along with it. Thanks for the vote!
I vote for Babel! I read Babel and enjoyed it because those characters and their story stuck with me and rattled in my brain for months after I finished it. So I would love to hear your thoughts too. I was also tempted to vote for Bluest Eye because I’m not fully aware what it’s about but have seen it a bit and am interested in reading it, and every time I see you pick up a book I instantly want to read it with you cause you provide great commentary that elevates the reading experience. Your channel reminds me of my favorite parts of all my English classes!
Oooh I love The Book of Disquiet and The Brothers Karamazov BUT I'm going to vote for The Black Tulip by Dumas because Dumas is so fun and I'd love to read this along with you 😊
Pachinko is one of my all time favorites! I have Free Food on my TBR. It makes Pachinko look tiny! Lol! I vote for The Bridge at San Luis Rey! Oh, I’m very interested in Justice Brown Jackson’s memoir. I’ve been waiting for the audio from my library.
I just finished listening to Lovely One last night and I really, really loved it! The audio is quite good, especially towards the end when her daughters show up and they use clips from her confirmation hearings.
My vote: Black Empire The Brothers Karamazov is my fave of those I've read there, but I was not going to stick you with another brick! 😅 Looks like you have an exciting reading month in store.
Lol. That's a common concern. I'm very curious about Black Empire. What's the scheme? Does it work? What does it working actually look like? Regrets? So many questions!
What a good bunch of B books to choose from! I vote for The Bridge of San Luis Rey. It may be short and it may be many years since I read it, but it's so powerful, it'll stay with you for the rest of your life.
I love your living room! OK. I had dinner, cup is filled with dry orange soda and I'm ready for ,"So I picked Bb/Y7U5s which means I need to pick a book title that starts with a color at the equator of Jupiter and I'll spin the wheel . It stopped on "Ohio" so I have to read a book that was printed after Gen Z were born." Tender is the Flesh!!!! Of course I'd pick Battle Royal, but have heard great things about The Book Thief.
Ok i think I'm def going to get that edition of DQ... it just looks nicer to hold than either of the copies i have, and sounds like I'd enjoy the translation more. Babel is on my list of 25 for 25 (specifically books i want to buddy read!) But my vote is Black Empire bc its also on that list and its shorter! Either way expect me to be joining you!!!
I vote for The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse. Right before you started to mention the color theme of your stack I was thinking the spines of the stack make a very pleasing view and compliment each other.
I vote for Bridge of San Luis Rey. I haven't read it in years and would love your reaction. Among others I'll be reading Ferber's So Big (Pulitzer), The Law and the Lady by Wilkie Collins and for nonfiction American Nations by Woodard. Plus random mood reads.
So many amazing great choices, but The Brothers Karamazov is my favorite novel of all time. I vote for the Brothers Karamazov! You have my favorite of the four translations I’ve read, too. My insane author project this year is to read/reread all of Dostoevsky plus Joseph Frank’s five-volume bio of him plus Anna Dostoevskaya’s memoir (his wife!). That lunacy starts in March. Can’t wait. Whether I will survive with my mind intact is another matter. The Brothers Karamazov and Don Quixote in the same month would be a serious candidate for the best reading month ever. By the way, you got me curious about Green Henry, and my copy arrives today!
I vote for The Brush because it looks like it is from Archipelago? And it fits the red and yellow theme you have going in that stack! And it's short. If I can add a second pick 🤪, I also vote for The Bluest Eye!
New here so I’m not sure if you like to read plays but if you loved Howard’s End I recommend The Inheritance by Matthew Lopez (who directed the RWRB adaptation) it is a contemporary retelling and I loved it
I vote for the Bluest Eye. I am also reading Don Quixote and rereading The Known World for February. I will also choose a James Baldwin and a Zora Neale Hurston. I would also like to start Bleak House and Anna Karenina. There just is not enough time to read all the books I want.😂
I feel you! I'm reassured by the fact that it should only take about 5-6 years to get through the books I own. Because I have about 1000 more after that. 😂
Of all your B books, I have only read The Bluest Eye and Babel. Both are good, but as an Ohioan I have to give Toni Morrison my vote as a must read. I am going to read her Beloved next month after I work my way through all the library holds that came through at the same time.
I can't decide. Babe the Gallant Pig or The Boy, the the Mole, the Fox, and the Horse. I've read The Book Thief and highly recommend. I also want to read Bluest Eyes so I'd like to hear your thoughts 😂
Like Sarah (from EyesonIndie), my first vote is for "The Brush," and if I had the chance for a 2nd vote, it would also go to "The Bluest Eye" (but it broke my heart). Happy reading, Nicole! -Miki
Lol. It has become a struggle to leave this room. I now have to force myself to go out. If I adopted you we'd live there forever. (How much fun would that be!)
Definitely voting for Black Boy so that you can compare it to Invisible Man (and ideally also compare to Native Son): the epic trio of Black American fiction.
Wouldn’t we also need Their Eyes Were Watching God? And then there’s the whole matter of the everything after 1950-James Baldwin and Toni Morrison, just for starters!
No i did not spy Food for Millionaires in your thumbnail!!! How did you know I planned on picking that up!?? Ok... going into video now Let's see how many more buddy reads I can impose on you 😂
I vote for Black Boy. Read it in college and remember being moved. Love your channel!
Great and thank you!
The Bluest Eye!
It's truly remarkable
Thanks!
My vote is for the boy, the mole, the fox, and the horse.
You have so many great choices!
I just love your creative ways of picking your pile of possibilities, I just put the books I need to read in stacks.
Thanks! Believe it or not, I actually spend weeks in indecision when I try to just mood read.
I vote for Babel, it'sthe next physical book on my TBR and I'm very much looking forward to it ! Hey, you'll be getting nice muscles lifting those piles of books ^^
I vote for The Bluest Eye. Best of luck on your reading!
Thanks!
The book thief is my pick. I gave read this. It is so good.
Great!
Body and soul by Frank Conroy! Absolutely loved that
ooo! Good to know! Thanks for the vote.
I vote for the boy the mole the Fox and the horse. It’s also on my tbr and it’s short to go with those longer books.
Thanks!
Oooh I vote for Becoming Jane Eyre - I have it on my shelf as well!! 😊
Fun!
I vote for the boy, the mole, the fox and the horse. It's short but it's beautiful.
It's definitely a favorite.
To lighten your load...The boy, the mole, the fox and the horse. Good luck.
Thanks!
My vote is for The Boy, the Mole, the Fox, and the Horse. I hauled it a while ago, but haven't had a chance to read it yet. I hope your reads go well. Have a great month.
Thanks! Same to you.
Bluest eyes or the book thief. Both are very good.
Thanks! I'll pick the first vote because it's easier for me to remember to do that for everyone.
I loved the Brothers Karamazov but I’ve had The Book Of Ebenezer Le Page on my TBR shelf since October so that’s my vote! 🗳️
great!
I vote for the boy the mole the fox and the horse. It’s beautiful, simple but so deep
So many people have mentioned how beautiful it is! Thanks for voting.
Thanks, Sophia. Babel sounds interesting and I've heard fascinating things about The Bluest Eye. Such a kind compliment. 😍
I vote for the Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse as I know its really short...lol.
Have fun with that TBR! 😃
Lol. You guys are so nice, and yet the short book almost never wins. 😂
Oooh I love The Book of Disquiet and The Brothers Karamazov BUT I'm going to vote for The Black Tulip by Dumas because Dumas is so fun and I'd love to read this along with you 😊
ooo A teaser! I was wondering where you would land!
I vote for The Black Tulip. I read it a long time ago and I remember liking it.
Excellent!
Good vote. I'm also on the never ending wait list too.
I just finished listening to Lovely One last night and I really, really loved it! The audio is quite good, especially towards the end when her daughters show up and they use clips from her confirmation hearings.
Awwww. I only have 14 more weeks until my hold comes in. 😂
I have only read Barnaby Rudge from that list, so it gets my vote 😅. It's very good!
Sounds good! Love a Dickens.
I vote for The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse by Charlie Mackesy because it's just wonderful!
Thanks, Amelia!
My vote: Black Empire
The Brothers Karamazov is my fave of those I've read there, but I was not going to stick you with another brick!
Sounds great!
Barnaby Rudge is an excellent Dickens selection, but if you have not read The Bluest Eye, that is my vote.
Only a few are rereads, but most of them will be first time, including The Bluest Eye.
Barnaby Rudge...currently reading it now and would love to see your review.
I vote for the boy, the fox, the horse and the mole
This one's popular and I'm soo curious about it.
My wife just made a TBR game on her channel too haha! Fun way to mix things up!
It's silly, but I do it because it forces me to read books I might otherwise avoid.
Hi Nicole, I vote for The Bluest Eye. 😊
Thanks! It's definitely becoming a strong contender!
my vote is for Babel because that's on my February tbr lol
lol. Fair enough.
I vote fot The Boy, the Mole, the Fox, and the Horse!
It's a popular one!
I vote for the Brothers Karamazov🤩
Excellent!
Book of the City of Ladies or Black Tulip are my picks either 9ne.
Sounds good. I'll go with the first one mentioned, because that'll be easier for me to figure out! Thanks!
I vote for Babel
Ooo. Interesting choice for you, Anne!
I love your living room!
OK. I had dinner, cup is filled with dry orange soda and I'm ready for ,"So I picked Bb/Y7U5s which means I need to pick a book title that starts with a color at the equator of Jupiter and I'll spin the wheel . It stopped on "Ohio" so I have to read a book that was printed after Gen Z were born."
Tender is the Flesh!!!! Of course I'd pick Battle Royal, but have heard great things about The Book Thief.
😂 You had me at "it stopped on Ohio".
Lol! Sounds good. And I'm really enjoying this translation of Don Quixote.
Bluest Eyes is my vote.
Thanks!
The Parable of the Talents is excellent. You will enjoy!😊
I'm guessing so based on the first book.
I vote for The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse. Right before you started to mention the color theme of your stack I was thinking the spines of the stack make a very pleasing view and compliment each other.
It's highly mentioned, so we'll see if it wins. Isn't that fun how the spine worked out!
Sounds great! I'm looking forward to getting to that Wilkie pick!
It's my favorite by him so far. Melodramatic of course, but really interesting.
The bluest eyes
Great
All the B books sound intriguing.
Right! This is one section of my shelves that turned out super intriguing!
Babel has my vote
Sounds good.
I vote for The Boy, the Mole the fox and the Horse
Great!
I vote for The Bridge of San Luis Rey by Thornton Wilder. You looked a little scared when you held up The Brothers Karamazov by Dostoevsky lol
Wonderful. Thanks
I’m voting for the book Babe
I will definitely be rewatching the movie if this wins!
If I'm not too late, I vote for Babe.
I vote for The Bluest Eye.
Instead of Black Tulip?
I cast my vote for The Bluest Eye .
Thanks!
So many amazing great choices, but The Brothers Karamazov is my favorite novel of all time. I vote for the Brothers Karamazov!
You have my favorite of the four translations I’ve read, too. The Brothers Karamazov and Don Quixote in the same month would be a serious candidate for the best reading month ever.
By the way, you got me curious about Green Henry, and my copy arrives today!
(All of that said, you have a LOT of great Bs, and if you get, say, The Bluest Eye or Black Boy or the Rebecca West, you will be a happy lady)
I agree! This is a very strong letter grouping. Have fun with your author project!!
I vote for Bridge Of San Luis Rey ❤
Thanks!
Hi Nicole!! I finished The Poppy War and started the next book.
Great! I'm guessing that means you're a fan!
I vote for Black Boy
Thanks!
I vote for The Brush because it looks like it is from Archipelago? And it fits the red and yellow theme you have going in that stack! And it's short. If I can add a second pick 🤪, I also vote for The Bluest Eye!
It is Archipelago! Good eye (pun intended).
I vote for Belle Greene (Because I own it and need to read it...)
Great!
New here so I’m not sure if you like to read plays but if you loved Howard’s End I recommend The Inheritance by Matthew Lopez (who directed the RWRB adaptation) it is a contemporary retelling and I loved it
Welcome! I don't tend to read plays, but I'm not against it either. I will keep an eye out for it. Thanks for the recommendation!
I say babel
Great!
Oooh, I want to read Lovely One, thanks for reminding me!
Welcome! I'm sure we'll both enjoy it.
I vote for Babel because I want to read it too! 😂 so many good B options.
I really want to read A Room with a View too!
Same! And yes, the B shelves are stacked!
I vote for "The Book Thief"
Thanks!
Of all your B books, I have only read The Bluest Eye and Babel. Both are good, but as an Ohioan I have to give Toni Morrison my vote as a must read. I am going to read her Beloved next month after I work my way through all the library holds that came through at the same time.
Sounds good! Isn't it amazing how that always happens with library holds!
I'm voting for The Black Tulip because it's on my February tbr.
Cool! Maybe it'll win and we can buddy read it!
My vote is for The Bluest Eye
It's making a come back! So excited to see what wins!
@@noteworthyfictionYou have so many good options😊
I vote for Babel by Kuang.
Thanks!
I can't decide. Babe the Gallant Pig or The Boy, the the Mole, the Fox, and the Horse. I've read The Book Thief and highly recommend. I also want to read Bluest Eyes so I'd like to hear your thoughts 😂
Lol! Don't take too long to decide!
@noteworthyfiction I gave myself until the end of your video. I'll vote for the Boy, the Mole, etc
Like Sarah (from EyesonIndie), my first vote is for "The Brush," and if I had the chance for a 2nd vote, it would also go to "The Bluest Eye" (but it broke my heart). Happy reading, Nicole!
-Miki
Thanks, Miki!
The Book Thief, I loved it and I’m sure you will too.
Great!
I vote for The Black Tulip by Alexandre Dumas
This one is surprisingly popular!
I vote for the Black Tulip by Dumas..
Great!
I vote for The Bridge of San Luis Rey. I just got this book and interested to know what you think of Thornton Wilder.
So am I! I feel like you never hear about Wilder.
Babel
Thanks!
I'll vote The Bridge by Wilder. Shorter so you can read all of Don Q
Nice!
I voted The Book Thief. That's a very good book. 😊
I've heard! Thanks for voting.
Very tempted by Battle Royale but it has to be The Bluest Eye
Sounds good. Thanks!
My vote goes to Babel :)
It's popular!
I am voting for Belle Greene
ahh! Love an underdog! Have you read The Personal Librarian?
@ I have not but I’ve hearddd that this book is a better version of it 🤭 so I’m more inclined to get to this one
@ChocolateCoveredPages I had heard the same!
I vote for The Boy, the Mole, the Fox, and the Horse (Hope I got the whole title)
No worries, I know which one you mean. Thanks!
I vote for the bluest eye.
Hi Nicole, I vote The Black Tulip
Because I'm reading that one . 😂
Thanks!
Great!
📚
Hey!
Eeee, A Room with a View! I'm excited to hear your thoughts.
Me too! Already listened to the first chapter and went "NOPE! This is for physical eyes only".
🧡❤💛
Let's make it fun and say Babe the Gallant Pig.
yay for Babe!
Read Babel or The Brothers Karamazov.
Two fascinating choices.
I vote for Battle Royale!
Oooo! Voting outside the box! Love it.
The Book Thief
I'm surprised this hasn't gotten more votes as most people seem to really like it.
Nicole I beg you please adopt me! I want to live in that living room forever!!!
Lol. It has become a struggle to leave this room. I now have to force myself to go out. If I adopted you we'd live there forever. (How much fun would that be!)
I vote for Babe, the gallant pig to break up your chunky books🎉
Not a bad idea. Plus, I LOVE that movie.
Definitely voting for Black Boy so that you can compare it to Invisible Man (and ideally also compare to Native Son): the epic trio of Black American fiction.
That's a good project!
Wouldn’t we also need Their Eyes Were Watching God? And then there’s the whole matter of the everything after 1950-James Baldwin and Toni Morrison, just for starters!
@@michaelmasiello6752 There's so much to read!! Just scratching the surface!

Good pick hubby!
😂 I should have guessed he would pick that one.
I thought you started The women before and DNFed it. I might be thinking of someone else.
Nope, not me. I haven't even cracked the spine!
I vote for The Bluest Eye!
Thank you!
I vote for Bridge Of San Luis Rey.
Thanks!
I vote for The Bluest Eyes
I'm not ready! But I don't think I'll ever be...
Babel
