- This is a little project I've been wanting to do for a long time. I didn't really like the ending of Prey, so I'm making my own!
In this alternate timeline, Sonic manages to get all the time stones and the good ending!
This is an animation and I had a lot of fun making it.

I don't intend to leave you all in suspense since I know how it feels like to wait without knowing anything!
So, I'm going to tell you about the projects I'm working on!
The main animation everyone is waiting for, Vs. Starved! I would like to start making it, but I want to try a few things first. Don't worry, the whole fight is already planned and the ending is already written and so are the Sprites! I just need to glue everything together!
The second animation I want to make - and I'm going to use it to practice a bit - is something that brings together two universes, in terms of the story let's say that A Time Stone falls into a dark world and into the wrong hands!

Wow! 10k Views! I did not count on this! I am very grateful, I honestly didn't expect to get this far!
Since so many people are interested in this story, I would like to ask something that some of you have already noticed - the time stone! Would you like to see its function expanded a bit, or would you prefer it to work like in the game! (It does nothing but give you the good ending!)
Don't worry, either option will give Sonic his good ending!

Really like this. I can actually see this being an actual boss fight where you can use the time stone to show you an "after" image of where to go to not get hit at the expense of cooldown.

@@JPComenta and I expect in the fan game that there you can make a good future in the stages and if you make a good future in star dust speed way you get a different ending where sonic survives and in the ending of the game if you collect all the time stones sonic goes back in time and goes right after sonic 1 finished and investigate how did egg man turn into starved and stop egg man from changing his diet for that he doesn't turn into starved and this will the good ending the neutral ending will be just the normal story where sonic dies and tails confront's starved and retreats and the bad will be that sonic dies and tails dies too and there's no one who can stop starved now
@@randomdude.... I wouldn't want them to do that. More I would like it to give that feeling that you can beat starved, and that in the end, no matter how much effort you give it, that in the end sonic dies... Which, is what prey transmits to me, and already the part of tails... well, it doesn't matter to me, although I think it would be more like the neutral ending, where tails survives... A, and that he has good bosses, not bosses that just shoot and let himself be attacked like in fan games from sonic.exe
I liked the boss fight a lot, but I really liked about this was how Starved was lurking in the background. Watching and studying Sonics movements like a predator gaining info on its Prey.
You don’t even see his face and I still felt how ominous it was for him to just be lurking. Makes him feel a lot more threatening as an antagonist.

Add to the factor dr.robotnik is already a genius that would have likely tried to predict sonics moves to begin with.
Starved being a more unruly version I feel like starved could even have something planned ahead of time knowing sonic has the stone.
@@toolazytorenamemyself Oh yeah! I noticed those after images of Sonic that showed the incorrect spots to dodge Furnace. He might actually have something planned for the blue blur but we really don’t know.

Metal sonic( or my favorite name for this robot, hyper Metal sonic)
Eggman in sonic cd was truly trying to kill him, look at metallic madness bad future
I love how sometimes the time Stone starts acting up and shows what i think is a timeline where you died, if this was a actual boss fight, i think this should show up every time you die, the time stone would warn you How you died, so you can know how to live

Love the use of a Big Arms remix.
Especially since it's referenced in Furnace's part of the song a lot.
I thought so! It makes a lot of sense now that you say it!
Big Arms was referenced a lot during the song to represent "danger", the danger was obvious during furnaces part, thus, he references it the most. After furnace leaves, you dont hear big arms until after you see furnace passing by, showing that sonic is running straight to a trap, thus, big arms plays on the instrumental, but the vocals dont sing the big arms motif, representing in musical terms that sonic is unaware of the danger he got in.
I love how the final cutscene and fight was portrayed in the animation! Really good stuff!
Mostly throughout the fight, Sonic is playing defensively, we see this when the time stone explicitly shows that attacking furnace isn't a good strategy.
However in the parts leading up to the last cutscene, Sonic is able to deduce that Furnace is vulnerable. His attacks are working, he needs to finish him off, or at least decommission him, which is why he speeds up.
At the apex of the fight, it feels like a Do or Die moment, one wrong move and bam, bad future. The time stone confirms this, showing the multitude of deaths that ensued if Sonic's movement wasn't immaculate.
But the blue blur pushes through, the Fiery Furnace meets a terrible fate akin to Sonic's original ending in the Starved story, terrific animation!
Yup! One little error and Sonic was gone. Back to square one!
@@DaiToky Is there a limit to how many times the time stone can be used? Or is it like an infinite source like the chaos emeralds?
Seeing that Starved managed to use the Time Stones to go back in time and eat again and again, I would say that...
There is no limit, however. There is a window of opportunity where Sonic can be taken by surprise, if someone were to attack. It is impossible to see what the future holds in that time!
Now THIS is what would have happened if Robotnik didn't have a contingency plan

This is most likely what would have happened _period_. Sonic probably got nerfed to the ground in starved lore, he would have most likely avoided furnace or survived somehow cuz u know

@@tommasocesarato3831 yes he did, a single spindash from sonic would slice furnace in half, also i find it strange why tails uses a knife when he can literally destroys rocks and metal robots by just spindashing
@@tommasocesarato3831 but it didn’t cause the plot was automatically against him since it needed to kill off sonic so tails could take over as the protagonist
As much as I do love the original Starved Story, it's super satisfying seeing Furance be destroyed and Sonic living for once

i love how furnace got pretty much no u'd at the end, considering in the original bad ending prey sonic dies of recklessness and not looking foward, in this one furnace gets defeated getting smashed against a block instead because he didnt look foward.

Finally a good ending I don’t know if that version of sonic was made before Fnf but Fnf fandom likes watching characters suffer for some damn reason and it’s nice to see sonic winning for once and not just being killed in a rap contest

This animation is hello good, this really gives you the feeling that your prey running from the predator finally tricking him into hitting something, along with the time emerald mechanic really original. Keep up the good work👍

I like the added detail of the timer being stuck at 9:59. Anyone who saw Prey knows that Sonic's already out of time as soon as the fight begins.
Yup! However, that was a lazy fix from my part. For the next animation is going to be fixed!
@@DaiToky if this gets a part 2 with Starved, I'd recommend intentionally having the 9:59 timer to continue the symbolism.

Either way, you did a very good job, it's a very cool animation and it really encapsulates the CD style on it's own way, i would dare say this looks official, a 10 out of 10
I noticed a detail every now and then where there are phantoms of Sonic dying, showing the fact that this fight has happened before because of Starved's use of the time stones. Very neat

Although obviously I’m more in favor of Metal Sonic or Mecha Sonic, I can’t deny that Furnace Sonic has an awesome design.
Honestly he would be right at home in Sonic and the Black Knight.
Furnace is awesome, although I don't like the fact that he is apparently as fast regular Metal Sonic. No way in hell does he weigh as little as Metal Sonic does.
While I love Furnace's design, it's awesome, just like you said. Metal will always be my beloved doppelganger!
@@Garbo_trashcan I imagine he's just a bit slower, not able to surpass max speed sonic, but capable of sneaking ahead should sonic slow down.

Sonic running on the Horizontal wall really reminds me of Sonic 4, and even though that game is widely disliked, I still love the animations and like the story, so the fact that it's used here really makes me happy 😁
If my memory doesn't fail me, Sonic 4 Ep 2 wasn't really that bad!

i think this now should be the canon ending cuz Dumbie ( the actual starved creator ) is going to make some changes in the history, so i can bet that sonic will be alive
this is really impressive! a lot of sprite animations on youtube tend to look clunky or lose the genesis game feel but not this one! i also like the after-images showing different things that would've happened to sonic if he didn't play his cards right, really good stuff
An idea to make this boss less boring is that Sonic could attack Furnace in the first phase, and once he hits him enough time, it goes into the second phase. Maybe the attacks could be more telegraphed (maybe Furnace is preparing himself to speeds through a part of the wall? I dunno) and instead of doing that beam at the end of the video (which I don't understand how Sonic dodged it) he could start charging up to do said beam, only to crash against the wall before he could do it. At the end of the level, Sonic could pass through the goal post, with the level clear theme playing (with Starved still ominously flying in the background)
This is just a suggestion though, the animation is wonderfully done!

it's a really nice job, i feel like if this was a real game getting Game over in this part would keep the regular Starved storyline, but if you play really good you can survive and change Sonic's fate
Yup! As you can see, only 1 Sonic is able to run past the last laser! So the chances are really slim!

@@misterboxhead3045 I love boss fights, I meant more of animations of these sorts, as many are relatively low quality or just feel strange. It's hard to explain exactly why my dumb brain is on about ... So take what I say with a pinch of salt, so to speak.
This looks like more of a first encounter with furnace than prey itself but honestly it fits especially if this is a version of a bad future
I feel like there would be multiple endings for the fights one where sonic loses and dies like in canon and the good ending where he survives and goes back into the past to fix everything

Never played a classic sonic game so I have no clue how the timer works, but the fact that it was infinitely stuck on 9'59" with the last two digits going up and down is SO mildly infuriating
