Scott and Eddie are so underrated, they deserve so much more credit for their work. Scott was always one of my favourite drummers, and Eddie is amazing me more and more after every listen. With Geoff caliber in the band it's hard to be noticed, but they deserve way more credit. Respect, guys!
The drumming in Spreading the disease is just unbelievable. I dont know much about playing bass, so i have no insight into what he is doing or what value he, or a bassist, brings to the band.
At this particular time in-time...they WERE THE BEST BAND IN THE WORLD... no doubt this recording was "prettied-up in the remaster in 2003, but I saw these guys so many times over the past 40 years, this is when they were in their peak and just fucking amazing live...rock-on brother and sister... JLG...
The media is made of up millions of parts. To count media as one single entity is absolute paranoia. First you say that something else is paranoid and then you say something completely paranoid. Ha!
One of my fav QR songs off Mindcrime along with The Mission and Suite Sister Many Rockenfield sounds so good in this video. He and Eddie are undoubtedly one of the tightest rhythm sections in Rock/Metal Side note, gotta love the Speed Metal/Thrash riff in this track 🤟🎸
You do realize he was singing the words from the point of view of the main character in the story. They even said in an interview that they weren't looking to overthrow the government or cause a subversive revolution. However, in that same interview, in a sarcastic manner, they said they had no problem with right-wing fascists running the United States.
To think, it’s the communist and Socialist left that has us 1 step away from WW3 and nuclear war. As their face gets melted off, they will cry, “At least their are no mean tweets!!”
Timeless music just amazing this "speak" is crazy... Long live Queensyrche... Operation :Mindcrime is masterpiece and one of the best albums of all time. 🤘
This band and their message were WAY ahead of their time! Their prophecies are now coming true,as are their words of revolution and promised demise! The ending has yet to be written, no ending is construct! It is ours to write and direct! Our lives are theirs to take,or ours to save!
THAT "DEMISE" YOU SPEAK OF IS NOT THE DEMISE OF US..... BUT THE DEMISE OF THOSE WHO HAVE NOT DESTROYED US.............SO SHOULD IT NOT BE ENOUGH TO "CIRCLE OUR WAGONS" AND LET'S COWBOY UP PEOPLE!!!! WE HAVE A LEGACY TO LEAVE OUR NATION AND NOT MORE DEBT TO " FOREIGN" INTREST.........!!! DO YOU NOT "REMEMBER THE ALAMO " I MEAN WTF!!! THOSE THINGS THAT ARE COMING FROM MEXICO ARE "WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION" i.e. POVERTY, DRUGS/PHARMACEUTICAL, FRAUD, CORRUPTION, GREED, COVETOUS AND YES VIOLENCE IN EVERY FASHION IMAGINABLE. SO FOR THE SAKE OF OTHERS CONSIDER THESE WORDS.
No it's just nothing has changed really aside from crime falling in the USA. It was describing a cynical dystopian version of what was happening in the 80's in the USA and other western nations.
How they got these lyrics past the PMRC is beyond me. Relevant as ever in 2011. I remember when I bought the vinyl the day of release. I listened and read that thing from start to finish. It sent chills up my spine. Great record!
Surely we need, but it will never happen again. The music industry changed so much after the 90´s, and the mainstream doesn´t allow these kind of statements anymore. Only the underground can do that, no news, no comercial publicity.
I remember the promiseland tour . At jones beach in NY... They played this album as well as promiseland a rare 2 hr. Show.. Type O opened for them.. Best concert ever.. Where is this talent today?
Man, they were so good back then. Man I miss my youth! I want it back! Some person said I have a weird axe to grind with the GT. I don’t, but the quarantine plague has me nostalgic for my youth and of the bands I loved as a kid. Honestly, I hadn’t listened to them since I was 18 or so...I just see them in videos like this, on their game...And I see GT sad and man, it makes me wanna cry.
They can not make a bad tune! I Swear they are Gods from Heaven! I love this music more than any other in all of humanity! Beautiful voice! Wonderful words! Amazing! Just Amazing! No One else as good as Queensryche! Anywhere!
At there, I had heard another voice in heaven that had said: Leave her my people so that you will not share to her sins and so that you will not receive her plagues and since they have been piled up to as high as heaven, God has remembered her sins and thus share back to her what she had shared and share double back to her about what she had shared. Pour her a double portion using her own cup. Share to her as much torment and grief about the glory and luxury that she had shared about herself because in her heart she boasts: I sit throned as queen and I am not a widow and I will never mourn.
On the greatest metal albums I say. The relevance of the words are so freakishly real its jaw dropping. WAY ahead of their time!! Which is why I think they couldn't get as many fans as a party band like Bon Jovi. People weren't ready and it seems most of us don't want to hear the truth. It will ruin your happy hour and your weekend so most just keep their head in the sand...CUZ its easier.
In your face, powerful and intelligent. It's like a musical storm you get caught up in. Live Crime my favorite. Must be how they mixed it...they play so clean, clear highs and awesome low end. Scott R. is awsome...I miss Chris De Garmo too though to agree with another post.
I wish Queensrÿche was still this good. Their early days are the reason they are one of my favorite metal bands but fuck man they need Chris Degarmo back.
DeGarmo is finished with performing, unfortunately. He left that life behind back when he chose to prioritize his family. He was quite spectacular in his prime.
We grew up and they got old. I will say this if the Hollywood Vampires play in your area give them a listen, Alice Cooper and crew cover a lot tunes from artist who aren't with us anymore. I never realize old baritone Cooper was so flexible but he pulls it off.
I'm in highschool and I love those bands, I'm even going to see maiden live, it sadly was delayed, but I'm going to see them. I'm not that kid who's like, I'm born in the wrong generation, because now I can watch and listen to this great music for bassicly free. I am the only one in my class who listens to the bands you were talking about, but I'm definitely not the only one who still listens to those great artist
This here is a great song I always liked it and still do!! I wish there would be more metal music now like how it used to be. It's like it faded away you know. I mean there was always rock in the '60s-'70s-'80s-'90s. And then it slowly got to be less and less. I love rock/metal I wish it was still in it's hey-day. Anyway great tune. Peace.
@BradRiffs I know. Aside from being a great guitarist, Chris was phenomenal on back-up vocals. I'm beginning to realize more and more how integral his back-up vocals were to the band's live performances. Is there anyone else who can harmonize with Geoff like Chris?
@j800r at least we both love them at the end its the only thing that counts the vocal are so hard to beat, i saw them live in 89 whit metalica in montreal and live they sound so great
The music on this track is all Michael Wilton!! He deserves every right to lead the current incarnation of the band and is doing a great job of it too!!
Almost 35 years later and I still remember every word of the whole story. Brilliant work of art
Timeless music, timeless message. The entire Operation: Mindcrime album is a masterpiece and rings true today more than ever. \m/
X
Absolutely
Absolutly right! This band in the eighties was the best of the best!!!!!!!
It was written for this very time we are in "Right Now!"
This is the real Queensryche!
are you fucking kidding me? the absolute best metal album EVER
I will always SPEAK that the original Queensryche was the greatest!
It’s like they knew what we didn’t... long live Queensryche!! Thanks for some good rock amongst all the crap😘
Such a killer vocalist.
Holy sh!t!!! These guys are unbelievable!!! Operation: Mindcrime is one of the best albums ever and this performance is just jaw dropping@!
Completely agree. These guys are unbelievable!
this video should have more than a million views... QUEENSRYCHE ROCKS!!!!
JLG...
Comparing these lyrics to today, they are SPOT on.
+PerpetualBurn27 History repeats over and over.
PerpetualBurn27 I know scary this song is so prophetic! All of this is happening today within our government! 😔
you mean the paranoia brought on by all the media
This entire album is more relevant now than EVER.
The media is made of up millions of parts. To count media as one single entity is absolute paranoia. First you say that something else is paranoid and then you say something completely paranoid. Ha!
i sure do miss that Queensryche
One of my fav QR songs off Mindcrime along with The Mission and Suite Sister Many
Rockenfield sounds so good in this video. He and Eddie are undoubtedly one of the tightest rhythm sections in Rock/Metal
Side note, gotta love the Speed Metal/Thrash riff in this track 🤟🎸
They were incomparable live...
that was by far their best tour...no comparison
Very tight and talented. Not sloppy
1:58
Michael Wilton delivering that "ERADICATE THE FASCIST" with the passion and belief those words should always be spoken.
And then, that solo 🔥
You do realize he was singing the words from the point of view of the main character in the story. Operation :Mindcrime is masterpiece and one of the best albums of all time. 🤘
one of the best metal and live bands ever, unforgetable.
This band and their message were WAY ahead of their time! Their prophecies are now coming true,as are their words of revolution and promised demise! The ending has yet to be written, no ending is construct! It is ours to write and direct! Our lives are theirs to take,or ours to save!

No it's just nothing has changed really aside from crime falling in the USA.
It was describing a cynical dystopian version of what was happening in the 80's in the USA and other western nations.
It was like this back then
Agreed!
loved this album as a kid, still love it now.
How old am I allowed to feel now. I heard it in my late teens ?
I know how you feel! I've actually gotten my grand-kids into Queensryche and a couple of other "old guy" bands!
How they got these lyrics past the PMRC is beyond me. Relevant as ever in 2011.
I remember when I bought the vinyl the day of release. I listened and read that thing from start to finish. It sent chills up my spine. Great record!
#1 US METAL Band!!!
#1 worldwide band
so brilliant! Love how they all work together to create wonderful harmonies.
Love you Chris....apple of my eye....since 14 years of age....
they sound so good live
this message applies more now than ever
adam raski I know right! So scary!
I saw them when Operation Mindcrime first came out opening for Def Leppard. Still one of my favorite concerts to this day.
Did they play this album in its entirety or ??
What I'd give to see the original line up again
What I would give to be 17 again, like when I saw this live.
Everytime I hear this song it sends me back to my younger days. Perfection 🤘🏼🤘🏼🔥2024 came to fast.
Real Queensryche. Totally amazing.
Saw this tour 4 times queensryche at their best!
The REAL Queensryche....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I know every word to every song myself. Operation mindcrime was one of the best albums ever produced.
In my top 3 metal álbuns of all time. Genious
I actually saw this during the original tour : ) It was awesome!!!
As in during the Operation: Mindcrime tour, 88-89??! Lucky man. :)
This video was shot on the Empire tour. His voice had already changed pretty dramatically by then.
Me too .. they opened for Metallica and were better than them
@@anolaf ... most footage was from the Madison, WI show which I was at. There are a few times throughout these videos where you can see us.
I saw them open for Kiss in 1985!
☮️💜
I am glad I got to them 8 times, voice is amazing.
Queensryche com Geoff Tate e Cris Degarmo ❤ Perfeição
Damn, this is such an incredible performance. His vocals are more powerful live than on the record.
THE BEST ALBUM OF ALL TIMES BY FAR !
This drummer, Damn is my 3rd favorite drummer!! What a beast!!! AMAZING!
What a hard working band. Damn.
We need another album like this to expose the current system of crime, death, war and false flag terrorism.
Surely we need, but it will never happen again. The music industry changed so much after the 90´s, and the mainstream doesn´t allow these kind of statements anymore. Only the underground can do that, no news, no comercial publicity.
I'm surprised they got away with the line "Educate the masses, we'll burn the White House down," even back then.
maybe because back then people weren't a bunch of pussies like they are now
we need now in 2019 to expose this. Thats more than anouth to know
But Queensryche's descriptions are still accurate.
The only voice of QR that will ever matter....Geoff =Perfection
MASTERPIECE
Chris DeGarmo was a genious!!!!
I remember the promiseland tour . At jones beach in NY... They played this album as well as promiseland a rare 2 hr. Show.. Type O opened for them.. Best concert ever.. Where is this talent today?
Cool song.
they are just perfect live
Awesome song. Brings back memories
Such a good band.
My favorite one on that disc and they absolutely SMOKED on it here!
Revolution is all of us!
'Men will NEVER be truly free until the last king is strangled with the entrails of the last priest' Denis Diderot
Jackson's third harmony makes that last chorus awesome.
This is live, with no lead vocal tracks, just delay, no Autotune or Melodyne.
You are so right it was the same as the dvd they were fabulous never have I seen them this good again !!
I ca't wait until next March when I see them in Vegas! SPEAK!
SPEAK THE WORD (Revolution)...The word is all of us.
best group ever best album ,this album is a great concept
Saw Queensryche last week and they are AWESOME! Thanks for posting this! YOU ROCK! \m/
Big Queensryche And I love this song and It is amazing how this song rings true these days. Unreal.
@ram16821 , The Ryche has always sounded better live than even their studio albums.
Every song on the album is great
Geoff was very nice to look at. Part of it is because he knew how to make himself look good in stage; he had moves.
Yes....very, VERY nice. I had wall to wall centerfolds if he and the band
Best concert!!! 🤘
the only Queensryche that I knowledge
saw them last year, sans Warren but he still has the voice, it was incredible!!
+antimatrix1000 its a new singer xD he called todd latorre ..
Underated and awesome band!
They can not make a bad tune! I Swear they are Gods from Heaven! I love this music more than any other in all of humanity! Beautiful voice! Wonderful words! Amazing! Just Amazing!
No One else as good as Queensryche! Anywhere!

Perfect album!
Mercy is for the strong and hell is repatition
it is their best DVD

DeGarmo owns those high harmonies. God I miss him.

Fantastic performance. Tight, flawless and meticulous. You can tell it was so well rehearsed. What a show!
In your face, powerful and intelligent. It's like a musical storm you get caught up in. Live Crime my favorite. Must be how they mixed it...they play so clean, clear highs and awesome low end. Scott R. is awsome...I miss Chris De Garmo too though to agree with another post.
DeGarmo is so awesome...
And still HOT asf!!! 😍
Hell yeah man! They had the shit down - flawless vocals. I feel lucky to have seen them on this tour.
SPEAK THE WORD!
Revolution
Operation LiveCrime!!!!!
Nuff Said!!!
In high school Queensryche , Iron Maiden and Rush were my favorite groups. Now all I ask, is what happened?
William Holmes I just finished high school
And their my favourite groups too
We grew up and they got old.
I will say this if the Hollywood Vampires play in your area give them a listen, Alice Cooper and crew cover a lot tunes from artist who aren't with us anymore. I never realize old baritone Cooper was so flexible but he pulls it off.

Retarded parasites took over, unfortunately. But, we'll get it all back!
Maiden are still here and making stuff ;)
The best song ever made
このライブ映像は当時のクイーンズライチのライブの熱狂を見事に収めています。
This here is a great song I always liked it and still do!! I wish there would be more metal music now like how it used to be. It's like it faded away you know. tHE GREATEST BAND IN THE US

Perfection
@j800r at least we both love them at the end its the only thing that counts
the vocal are so hard to beat, i saw them live in 89 whit metalica in montreal
and live they sound so great
The best guitarist ever hands down
And drummer the most unrecognized band by far they just had a message
se e loco fi esse foi melhor show d rock ,ja teve
What bass is that? Brilliant Brilliant Brilliant
Liked it from the beginning. My favorite is operation mind crime
The music on this track is all Michael Wilton!! He deserves every right to lead the current incarnation of the band and is doing a great job of it too!!
REVOLUTION!
