- Shadow Raid ECM rushed in ~1m40s for an XP reward of 1.4M. Everything you need to know to optimize the rush to this level, including detailed explanations of the 4 roles, my suggestion for the optimal pathing, and general things to keep in mind.
As the disclaimer at the start of the video indicates, the idea behind having multiple heists with excellent XP efficiency is to avoid doing any heist repeatedly, which would lower its efficiency by 30%. By playing the usual Diamond Store on repeat (with a -30% penalty), you can get a full infamy level every 37 minutes (if tryharding) or 40-45 minutes (average lobby). By combining different heists into a rotation, and avoiding the XP penalty, you can get a faster farming speed while avoiding the boredom that comes from repeatedly rushing DS, as showcased here: • [PAYDAY 2] New fastest...

➽ FOR ADVANCED HEISTERS WHO CARE ABOUT THE HIGHEST LEVEL OF OPTIMIZATION: as you might have noticed, the heister(s) on your team responsible for SW boosting should start doing so only after entering the main building. This is to prevent the orange civ from becoming alerted too far from the vault. If you would like to start the SW boost earlier, you can do so with Molotovs, which is also a very common choice in high-level lobbies. Related to this, clearly the whole rush could be optimized a bit more by using Yakuza, since we didn't use a single pECM here. However, this is one of many videos in a series of "heist rotations for XP farming" (for heisters of all levels), for which having Hacker equipped for certain heists is a requirement. Thus, even though it's possible to switch between both decks at the click of a button (even after Infamy fully resets all your profiles), I decided to make the "introductory level" assuming Hacker perk deck.

This is done by always looting certain items that are guaranteed to spawn, and counting in the chat for 3 random bags that are not guaranteed.
I like how an entire warehouse guarded by a army of private security is ran through by 4 dudes with clown masks and phone jammers

It would be really cool if the guard AI allowed them to switch to aggressive mode once they realize their phones aren't working. The gameplay choices would be really interesting!
@@Marcmb maybe that's a payday 3 feature. I hope they flesh out the stealth bc the loud option is almost always more interesting imo.

@@commanderblack5045 Haha, that would be a very dumb move by the guard! Unless that stopped the actual ECM effect, forcing the players to "protect" their placed ECMs. Sadly not a feature in PAYDAY2 though!

@@Marcmb i stopped using the crimewave edition on xbox (was infamy 3), because it outdated so i bought the legacy colection and its alots of fun
(the only thing that sucks it is that i dont have the infamy levels here so anyone is going to think i am a new player).

As an xbox player, I really enjoy your videos. You've motivated me to start playing again, and go for at least 20 infamy. I moved 1200 miles across the US recently, away from family, and found myself getting stressed easier and easier. It's easy to get caught up in everyday life, and not give yourself a break. Very cool seeing cookieape on the video for the first time! I would like to quickly add to the description saying that the common rotation for heists that marcmb and many other players (like me) host is the 4 map rotation of Diamond store > Shadow Raid> Election Day> Big Bank. You can also insert golden grin into the rotation to make infamies a couple minutes faster (Diamond store > Golden Grin Casino > Shadow Raid> Big Bank.) However only like 10 players know this rush well enough so the former is usually what most lobbies have.

In case of solos runs, with a little practice, I think the 'Advanced Strategy' shown on the 'Ultimate Shadow Raid Guide' could be a nice way to farm XP too :)

What an impressive gameplay you got there! I always like the ecm rush everything is planned everyone as something to do specifically and it's really energetic because it's done in less than 2 minutes it's really fun to watch! Btw the jump by the window to get to the security cam is really clean I might do it every time now xd

Hey Kaan! After some optimizations, this is indeed still very good for infamy farming :) But the runs need to be fast, otherwise you fall behind Diamond Store by a lot, and DS spam becomes noticeably faster!
The best part about combining several heists with good XP efficiency (Diamond Store, Shadow Raid, Big Bank, Golden Grin...) is that you avoid the -30% XP penalty, so the reward from Diamond Store goes from 890,820 XP in ~1.1 minutes to 1,272,600 XP, which is a huge difference!

Glad you liked it kitandrei! It could be pushed even lower by going for 12 bags only, but that would be worse for XP farming, so we generally aim for a 1m40s clear with 16 bags :p

For the first few infamies I would recommend checking out all the heists on the highest difficulty (for stealth) and high difficulties (for loud) rather than going straight into Infamy grinding. But if these runs are something that you like, you can definitely join them too!

I recently tried to apply more or less the same strategy but playing with a 3-man crew.
We are inexperienced so our best runs were almost 3 minutes long, but I think that it's still pretty good.
The only problem is that we can't do heists like Big Bank by entirely rushing, so I have a question: have you ever thought about making a video listing and briefly explaining which are all the possible ECM rushes (from the beginning) with 4-man crew, 3-man crew, duo and solo?

The guards pov must be horrifying, four people sprint in the front and steal everything not nailed down and some things that are nailed down and they do it in less time than it took ivan to get back from the break room with your coffee.
Poor guards indeed... on the bright side, there's that theory going around that all guards / cops in the PAYDAY universe are just an army of mass-produced clones, which makes me feel less bad for them :p
That work best for 4 well coordinated players. But since I mainly playing solo with bots, what maps (both stealth and loud) do you think give high amount of xp for solo player?
Hey ItzKienlabadao! For solo, it's important to make use of the stealth bonuses (e.g., Election Day +20%) which will make your long heists more efficient. For solo loud, you can go for things like Hoxton Breakout. For solo stealth there are many options: Murky Station, Golden Grin Casino, The Alesso Heist, The Big Bank, Diamond Store, Shadow Raid, Hoxton Revenge, The Diamond... definitely many choices! For most of these I have guides in my channel, some of which include a section about how to complete them quickly and reliably.
Yes there are many options but what stealth map do you think is good both time and xp wise? Since Im only infamy 3 diamond store isnt give really much xp, so I mainly do big oil and shadow raid. Big bank do give a lot of xp but require a lot of luck and skill to pull of as solo

Murky Station (open all trains, secure EMP only) = 20,000 XP in 3 minutes
Murky Station (all loot) = 34,000 XP in 10 minutes
Golden Grin Casino = 39,250 XP in 9 minutes
The Alesso Heist = 54,000 XP in 20 minutes
The Big Bank = 73,000 XP in 25 minutes
Diamond Store = 20,000 XP in 7 minutes
Shadow Raid = 22,000 XP in 8 minutes
Hoxton Revenge = 24,000 XP in 8 minutes
The Diamond = 33,000 XP in 10 minutes
Note that these are all base XP, and thus will be multiplied by a specific factor depending on your current infamy and the use of Team Boosts. Other stealth heists not listed here are generally worse in terms of XP efficiency. Big Oil is decent too, with a reward of 16,500 in 7 minutes. However I personally find the drills a bit too boring :p
Will you consider making guides for loud?

I will definitely consider it in the future, yup :) There are many videos I want to make about stealth still, and I know a lot more about stealth, which allows me to make videos of higher quality. However, when I'm done with all my stealth videos, I plan to do some videos teaching everything I learnt about loud while getting my DSOD mask.
when me and my friends are ecm rushing, we choose one player that uses HE rounds.
The guy that uses HE rounds has second wind aced.
He shoots hinself every 5 seconds and we use it for faster bag moving and it actually works
That's 100% the way to do it NBmelih, yup! For the 1m40s clip, we had 2 of those in our team, to ensure maximum uptime :) It's always highly appreciated when you have a good rusher in your crew taking care of that!

How do you get the XP display at the top of the screen? I'd find this useful for some of my gameplay. Is it part of a HUD mod or a standalone addon?
Hey Magmatic! First of all, very sorry for the delayed response. I've been very busy with work these last 3 days, so I've been unable to check the new comments.
The answer to your question was actually very simple: the XP display is done by a mod similar to XP Notifier ( modworkshop.net/mod/28247 ), but instead of showing "real XP", it shows "Base XP", which is often better. With that said, I believe this one is not available on any mod website (as far as I know), so it's not on modworkshop, but you can find it here: it's a custom mod written by Frankelstner (the author of The Long Guide), with instructions on how to set it up:

For PC players it's easy to do these tactics, because they can join my Steam group to find heisters to play together; but sadly for console it might be much harder to find heisters interested on this level of optimization... even though the strategy in itself is absolutely possible on console too!
@@Marcmb That is sadly true that console players aren’t interested in the amount of optimization as pc players are. However it is still very enjoyable to try with 1-2 friends to do some of the strategies, keep up the good work.

Hey Kinakuri! The civ is always guaranteed to spawn inside: either going down the stairs, or on the room next to the camera room (looking out the window). If you're finding him outside, that means you're reaching him too late (he's a moving civ, after all)!
Doesn't the hud mod you are using have a pagers used counter? Is it affected by the less pagers answered per heist crime spree modifiers?
Hey Misza! I don't think my current HUD has a pager counter, but a few updates ago they added that number to the default UI (when you press tab). Not sure if it reflects the changes from the modifiers though, sorry!
Fun fact: when crew AI revive when you have combat medic basic you will gain 40% of your health, while with combat medic aced you will gain 10% health as if you didn't have the skill even tho the aced version is the one with health imcrease on revive.

Sorry for being so dumb but what's the differance between a ECM and a Pecm?
No worries Allen! An "ECM" is a regular ECM deployable, which you place by holding G, and lasts for 30s.
On the other hand, a pECM (short for Pocket ECM) is the throwable which comes with the Hacker perk deck, which you use by pressing 3, and lasts for 6s. More details here: ruclips.net/video/turXz4dxz8o/видео.html

Hi Heaven! You could do that yup, but the XP is capped, and doesn't go any higher after 16 bags. So for the fully optimized ECM rush (for XP farming) we only go for 12 bags, plus the armor: maximum XP, in the least amount of bags & time :)

Is it possible to ecm rush shadow raid solo?
Very good question, The Legends! If you don't mind escaping during the Point of no return (which, for this heist, lowers your XP reward by about 22.5%), it might definitely be possible! You would need very good gameplay though, and very convenient RNG!

Good choice Dreamer! Nowadays you only need Infamy 1 for the skill tree bonuses, so going any higher is useless unless you enjoy the XP grinding. It's always much better to stop at a reasonable Infamy, and enjoy the game every now and then while staying at level 100!
how can you do it whitout timers
Hi Maria, very good question! A good recommendation would be to install timers (makes rushing more relaxing), but in the future I'll also make a video about ECM rushing without HUD timers. Basically whenever you place an ECM, you add 30s to the ingame heist timer, and that tells you when the ECM is going to end (so you want to start placing your next one 1s before that). Note that relying on the flashing ECM is very suboptimal, because the flashing effect starts a whole 8s before the ECM ends!
Is there a way to solo it?
Hi Chevano! It's impossible to solo ECM rush it, but there are different strategies to complete the heist with max XP reward within 8-9 minutes solo. If you're interested, check out my Ultimate Stealth Guide for Shadow Raid!

Haha! I wish the rush could be optimized even further, to reach times under 1 minute. Perhaps going for only 12 bags, and with very good RNG, it would be possible to complete in less than 1 minute real-time! :D
Although even then, making that into "shorts format" would be a pain, because watching things on that tiny resolution hurts my brain!

Oooh hahaha, I see! Well it is definitely possible to do some of these ECM rushes blindfolded, the trickiest part would be having your crewmates killing the guards if you're under fire.
Might make a video like this in the future, although it's hard to prove to the viewer that I would in fact be blindfolded! Definitely a video for the far future, since there are so many more "serious" videos to make before that :p

why say '1.4 million xp'? Why not just say '22,000xp'. Its better to say the base amount as then its completely comparible, not everyone is going to get the same amount of total xp due to varying infamy levels. Oh and im surprised you never mentioned that you get an extra 4,000xp if the alarm doesnt sound.
I agree completely, Freeman! Personally whenever I discuss XP values and XP efficiencies, I always mention base XP (e.g., 39,250 for GGC, or 41,250 with loud fireworks; 34,000 for Murky Station; 31,500 for FWB... etc). However, the general public doesn't really understand base XP, so the "real" numbers make communication a lot easier.
My regular Shadow Raid guide does have a section at the end mentioning everything that gives XP (and how to maximize it), and the 4,000 for finishing in stealth are also mentioned there. The reason I didn't mention it here is because it's supposed to be the more "advanced" and "coordinated" guide for Shadow Raid rushing, so finishing in stealth is a given :)
