So cool that you let your children make decisions at Costco with you. I never got that luxury or respect as a kid. I'm sure this attitude you have with them will serve them well in life. What an awesome family!
Granite is turning into quite the responsible, mature, nuturing young man. That speaks volumes for the amazing job that you are doing as parents! Your videos are highlights in my week, thank you Johnathan, Kelly, Granite, Forrest and Cedar!
I love the way you let your children interact in the daily regular family activities and make decisions. You are equipping them to be responsible adults. Way to go mom and dad. Blessings
You have awesome kids, especially when you are traveling all hours of the day and night. Granite and Cedar are so focused on all the things that they do on your excursions, and have been so introduced to so much culture, which is as good as school books. I love your family videos, and I will be tagging along with you as you explore Alaska.
You wont believe how much i watch your videos, i rewatch them everyday. You guys keep me company and im so grateful for your family. Thanks for posting today.
Hi, I came across your channel by accident and I’m glad I did ,I live in NY and also have a Costco membership, your prices there are way higher so it’s great to see you guys working towards saving that’s great.
Granite is a teenager already, so responsible , doing homework early in the morning ❤, and he reads books... my kind of kid! Your children are amazing, a reflection of your parenting...Forest is deliciously funny, great Costco haul! A video with the Aurora Borealis would be nice you guys...hint...hint...❤
I love bookstores and libraries! I could spend hours in them.. Some of the libraries in our area have used book sales once or twice a year.. Some always have used books for sale in their lobby..
Do you have the laundry soap that is in tissues? I love mine and they’re so light 💡 and easy to carry and they work really good too and cheaper about half the price.
Wholesome and heartwarming video yet again! I realize that proteins are quite affordable like the eggs, angus burgers and bacon. But of course, salmon and cod are of abundance in Alaska. Salmon tacos and coleslaw looks YUM!! Maybe Alaskan king crab 🦀soon?? 😂
Nothing wrong with used books or thrifting stores etc . I done that my self or had it done to me a child . But one thing I was always frustrated about or got upset or mad if someone I knew like friend's or etc seen me in their old clothes or playing with their old toys or etc
Great video Jonathan and family. I always let my son Brett choose what he preferred eating(during the day) That was when he was little of course! He's now 21 yrs old❤❤
From 10:54 it was so good to hear you complimenting Granite on becoming a responsible teenager...flash back to when I was his age i was inherently lazy and my parents never pushed me on household chores. At the very least, I recall helping with washing dishes and hanging out the clothes on the outdoor washing line in the backyard. When I was of age to receive a drivers license, I drove my mum, at the time when she was still with us, to the grocery store as she didn't have a car license. I look forward to if/when your kids choose to be content creators too. 🎉
Hello sweet family. Man oh man how the kids are growing. Such a smart bunch you have there. Forest has really grown in trying all foods it seems. He’s getting so big. I love Costco everything. Good meat deal you found. I’m All about shopping deals. Ak has better prices than here. ❤. Take care. Catch cha later. Stay warm as the first snow has fallin!
I’ve been watching your older videos after finding your channel and in the new ones the kids are so grown up! I was just wondering were Granite and Cedar always so willing to try new foods or were they more selective when younger like Forest? I love that they are so open to foods and was wondering if there is a parenting secret to that.
you guys did a good costco hack, that is to feed the kids or yourself first at the food court so you don’t shop around hungry, not spending more than you need to at Costcos 🤑👍
A simple family recipe take leftover cooked oatmeal put into a lined bread pan, refrigerate overnight, slice it the next morning and griddle those slices on the cooktop in butter until golden on both sides, serve with warm syrup. ❤
🙋♀️retired restaurant manager here, when using the thermometer it should insert sideways into thickest part of protein and never touch pan. Hence the different temps you got, also holding vertical it touched the pan. Just offering correct temping sop for food safety for fam😊 love y'all
Nice haircut Jonathan! Haha, Jonathan is saying cut-cut-cut to Granite, saying he doesn't get paid for chores!! 🤣Gotta love the Kirkland brand saving money wherever we can!! Taking my last midterm tomorrow and watching this video in between my break!!
I do enjoy the skills that are being passed down to the kiddos. Something that is becoming a lost art. However, being frugal on things I think isn't. I know in the lower 48; I'm seeing more and more parents teaching these skills. My daughter has been searching for deals and such since 6/7 when her reading and math skills were solidly established. I enjoy your videos though
🤗Mum Dad Great To See You Are Doing The Best For Your Children Moving To Top End Of Alaska ( dead horse ) 👍🏻👍🏻 p.s yer the world is in a mess great move BPF 🙏🏻
wow you guys live near Anchorage when the weather gets a little colder and you guys are craving some warm soup Go have some Vietnamese Pho Anchorage should have some good Vietnamese Pho restaurants there. Have the kids compare it to eating Pho in the cold winter season, to the pho you guys ate in Vietnam
You sir are alot braver than I am buying meat from Walmart. I stopped buying meat from Walmart over a year ago because every time I bought meat from there we got sick from it. I do shop at Walmart but for non food only items.
I wonder if they wanna go to schools or do home school . Or what they like or don't like about both . Bet it's good to have a home place finally and give your selfs a break from traveling. Wonder what you all miss so far from traveling or not traveling??
@bagspackedfamily hi Kelly I know you don’t eat meat but do you eat fish or seafood I ask bc I have a friend she doesn’t eat meat but does eat fish and seafood. Thanks
Plus if the yellow date for today or tomm why eat the next day not good . For me no matter the sell date or experied date I get rid of food , drinks etc etc
Do your research, (sell by) (use by) (expires) have different meanings and does not mean food will be bad after that date. How you store food can shorten or lengthen food quality. Milk that is old and sours, can still be used in baking ..so less waste.
So cool that you let your children make decisions at Costco with you. I never got that luxury or respect as a kid. I'm sure this attitude you have with them will serve them well in life. What an awesome family!
Thanks you.
Wonderful family. You're kids are so respectful and well behaved. It's a credit to the parenting fr sure. Awesome to see. 👍
Thanks so much.

Blessings
Love, love your videos. Wonderful parents and equally wonderful kids.

He’s a funny little guy!
Letting kids ride n the bottom like that isn’t safe.
@@nancyfarkas3592 that’s true. 😅
What fun - you guys make everything special!
What a nice day. Look forward to the next time.
Used book stores are the best 😊
Good used stuff is fantastic! We save for other expensive items! Mostly with 3 kids! Good job!❤
Never thought of coleslaw and salmon for a taco...looks delicious.
The kids really liked them! :-)
New Subscriber here! Thank you for all the things 🩷
Thank you so much!

@BagsPackedFamily Need granite’s haircut video soon please
I need that couch!!
It's a nice one! :-)
Fun video! Yum
Another awesome video! I’m with Kelly on the black bean taco since I’m not a fan of fish. Good job family!
I really like this video. I had to watch it a second time. The salmon do you eat the skin?
You can eat the skin. Last night, we did not.
nice vlog
Great family ❤from me in England 🏴

It's a good thing getting the standing freezer delivered. You don't want standing freezer or refrigerator as standing on their side.
Good tip. Thanks.
The upright freezer is great. I got mine a year 6ago so much easier than my chest freezer
I’ve been watching your older videos after finding your channel and in the new ones the kids are so grown up! So greatfull my stuff is trailer shipped and i dont have to pay those prices. Hope prices come down some how. Seems ro be a corporate price rob.

Thanks, Sally! I hope you ace your midterm!
Oh My God aurora?😮❤Northern lights
I must say I truly enjoy your channel and video. Keep up the good work. Btw Jon, nice haircut!
i buy marked down meat at Walmart too! Great minds think alike. You can melt the cheese on the tortilla and make salmon quesadillas too.
Great idea!!

Jonathan shopping is my favourite thing. BTW Did you visit Indian hills like Shimla, Nainital, Almora, Ranikhet ? Visit this winter. You will love it

I’m from Australia 🇦🇺 brought myself a tortilla press. Makes whatever tortilla you want
That’s a great idea!
Whole meal, corn , white corn wheat only whatever to your liking
@@mohammedsayutiujud6317 I bet our kids would love to make them.
Best is to invest a Japanese bidet or add a spray hose by the toilet bowl, save TP and much cleaner :)
most people dont know about tasmania crab like myself sir just let you know
How are you doing on you carnivore diet. I started in May and have lost 65lbs. But I was 373 to start. Easiest diet I ever went on.
Not a good diet. You can’t just meat
