- Despite their name Tahitian pearls do not come from Tahiti. They come from the French Polynesian islands surrounding Tahiti, and they are therefore often sold and traded in Tahiti. Tahitian pearls are large pearls found in a variety of colors including black, grey, silver, brown, and peacock green colors. To be classified as a South Sea pearl, the pearl must come from the pinctada margaritifera oyster which is a large black lipped oyster

I actually have a Tahitian pearl necklace that my husband got me years ago. Mine are more grey and almost a greenish blue hue to them. I would love a bracelet to match! Thanks for doing this video ill!

Are peacock pearls only different colored in the sun? I got a peacock pearl and even in indoor or sunset light it does not shine different. It only shines different when it is full sun and it looks almost ocean like then.

I have 10 pieces of the tahitian deep green parls that i want to sell . I found them deep down in our fresh water in cross river Nigeria . Someone should update me if they are interested to buy

I bought a pair of 17mm (Large) tahitians from a pearl market in the philippines. Its magnificent. But being a guy. I dont know what to do with it. Help anyone?
