TOOL ARMY checking in 💪
👋 hey Army!
Her reaction and understanding of this song is probably the best reaction I've seen. Spot on. You're amazing! 👌🤣
That’s why @thumbnail_lady is the GOAT!!! 🐐
Only a minute in but I subbed and like on your advice
Black, white, red, and yellow are colors associated with the the alchemical process of transmuting base metals to gold. "As above, so below" is also a phrase from alchemy.
Not many can catch it on first listen... you go girl! Wait until your 10th or 20th listen. It gets better every time!
or 1000th
Alanna is amazing!!
that was enjoyable guys !! just do more TOOL !!
We're the Tool army, and I assume you are going to be too, if you aren't already. Starting from the beginning is an awesome way to do it. Most of us didn't get a chance to do it that way and their early genius shows, if only to point toward what they would quickly evolve into. "Sober" is a great song, and the first heard by probably most, or "46 & 2", my personal favorite. The early stuff is much more full of anger and sometimes rage. I'd always suggest studio first, though their first EP is almost entirely live. Go back and watch the live versions after, they aren't far from the originals and some have become favorite versions. Come back for the official videos later as well. They are awesome but can also be very distracting if you want to focus on the music. Welcome and enjoy the spiral.
Facts!!! 🤘🏻🌀
Keep it coming guys. Tool is absolutely phenomenal and people like you who appreciate musical complexity will enjoy every single song in their catalog
I love the way you tilted back and soaked in the entire ending. Listening to the last tone fade out feels like a meditation to me and maybe. I’m not the only one. Loved this reaction!
WOW!!!! I’ve heard that song 1 million times but watching this felt like listening to it for the almost the first time! Very enjoyable and man she was so into it!! LOVED IT!!
Keep spiraling out with
👽👽🔥TOOL🔥👽👽
I am so lucky to have her in my life!!
@@enterthecronic Amen! I can’t wait until you introduce her to “pneuma”, that one, as you know, is an incredible journey 🤙
TOOL army here. Welcome to the family.
Listening to this song and seeing you two react to it made me tear up.. idk why exactly but yep....
Well...we thank you for having an experience with us! Much love, Matt!
More Tool please!
You guys would love the Pneuma drum cam if you haven't already seen it. It's AMAZING.
It's called a Toolgasm!
Three Aliens and an Octopus walk onto the stage...
Then there was TOOL.
Gotta do Danny Carey Live Drum Cam of Pneuma
This song is your child. Allow your baby to experience whatever you present to him/her, to the fulllest. Remember, babies are souls discovering their minds, bodies and emotions. I had the experience of having my grandson live with me for the past year. To observe how he was a fish out of water, after his birth, and see that, slowly, he began to become aware of the world around him, as well as learning to master his body, was quite an epiphany, because I really didn't notice this with my own children. He didn't know he was a baby. He's always been allowed to experience things without being "separated" from his family. He is almost a year old now and getting close to walking and talking. How does he learn to do all of this? By observation and using the innate scientific method all babies are born with. They are scientists. He is learning these "skills" as he goes along. The more free he's felt, to explore the house or world outside, the more rapidly he comes to know himself. This is why, as a teacher and home education parent of 9 children. I would urge you to avoid school at all costs and taylor your family life to givie hims as much time at home as possible. Your child will discover his "genius" early and you, as parents, will always cherish these times you have together. God bless. : )
I noticed Alanna's very good understanding for music before, (I just discovered your Channal and have seen only a few videos till now).but now I'm sure to watch reactions from people who are as much into music as I am! Graet reaction to a great song!!! 🤘
My wife is a professional pianist. I was listening to this in in the truck one day and she'd commented that it's cool. I said what and she said it's fibonnacci. I had to have her explain it to me
I really like your analysis. Emotional, technical...nice job to you both
Thank you so much! This is a spiral we are going to go down!
All ill say to yalls , SPIRAL OUT, KEEP GOING!
TOOL Army reporting. Welcome to the spiral 🌀.
Gotta listen to their song The Grudge. Amazing drumming and a scream to boot! Also watch the live drum cam of Danny their drummer to the song Pneuma. AWESOME!
As always I missed the premiere. I hope you’ll continue with your Tool journey 🌀🌀🌀🙏🙏🙏
Sgt. of the Army reporting for duty. Scanning…looks fine. New recruits. All clear. 🌀🌀🌀
Every Tool song is the best Tool song!
"Admiral Learn to swim" checking in. Great reaction! Love how you both got it.
Thank you so much!!
@@enterthecronic thanks for the reply. Been listening to Tool since 94. Aenima is another one. Loved the break down you both brought.
Tool ARE the rabbit hole
You guys dont need to try too hard to sound like you understand everything thats going on in the song. Just be yourselves and enjoy! Thats what were here for 😁
Thank you so much for that! We appreciate you so much!
Love both yall's shirts as a Tool fan since about '99 or'98 can't remember welcome to the best music that is "Tool" and seeing them live sounds just as good as audio but either or is great
I'll subscribe to watch your TOOL journey.
No live videos for Tool and no official music videos for the first time listen. Live videos always have poor quality both sound and video. Music videos are too weird and distracting and sometimes heavily censored.
I suggest to stick to audio only plus having correct lyrics pulled up for the best experience.
I’ve been into Tool since 1995. These guys will always remain my favorites.
Once again I highly recommend to dive into their catalogue from the very beginning.
🌀🌀🌀🤘🤘🤘
Lateralus last concert of 2002 is the best live video.
Best song ever 😃
That whole album is💯
❤
pushit, the grudge, jambi, stinkfist go for it , all good
Tool are Masters of TONE...
Hope you packed your bags ..spiral out kids💫🔨❤️
12:46 - It does not follow 4/4.. It's like in 9/8, 8/8, 7/8.. xD
As drummer Danny Carey says, "It was originally titled 9-8-7. For the time signatures. Then it turned out that 987 was the 16th number of the Fibonacci sequence. So that was cool."
The time signatures of the chorus of the song change from 9/8 to 8/8 to 7/8. :D
Right in Two. I have spoken
#Masterpiece👽
4 magical musians for sure ..Danney/Adam/Justin and mr maynard
hell yea
here for the Tool.
STUDIO and LYRICS. If you want live check out PUSHIT the live version off of SALIVAL.
OMG, yes! It’s so beautiful I well up in tears in parts! 🥹🥰
The Fibonacci´s sequence!!!
🤘🏻🌀
🤘❤🤘
Subscribed for more Tool! Spiral out my friends!
Tool does not have any bad songs, imo
Does “Message to Harry Manback” count?
@@Rurne album intermissions don’t really count tbh
🤘🏼👁🌀🌀🌀
Oddly enough most of the song wasn't in 4/4 and 3/4, it was in 9/8, 8/8 and 7/8. 987 being a number in the F sequence...
And the verse is in 5/4. The ‘bridge’ is a polyrhythm. The band is in 6, drums are in 5. The last section is in 6/4. It’s all over the place, but they just make it groove so smoothly. 🥰
Great reaction. :) They have many amazing songs, but I want to recommend songs "Prison Sex", "Ænema", "Pushit", "Schism" and "Vicarious", I hope you will react tosome of them. :)
TooL Army checking in. Soooo... there are no two Tool songs that sound the same so you'll always have a tough time predicting what you'll hear. There are no bad Tool songs... just ones that aren't in your top 10 this week. The band writes the music and lays down tracks for Maynard(the singer) to write lyrics for depending on how he feels when listening to it over, and over, and over for weeks. Headphones and Lyrics pulled up is a must.. and try to keep a phone available to look up Philosophy, gematria, astrology, alchemy, mathematical concepts, esoteric teachings about spirituality, metaphysics, and religions of Middle Eastern and Asian origins. This band will make you smarter if you put in a little effort.
Studio would always be the way to go on first listen…. Audio is always recommended as well without the video’s that go with them only because it distracts from the song’s complexity. Video’s are 🔥🔥🔥 (Adam Jones) director & created TOOL videos are a must after initial listen “Spiral Out” 🌀🌀🌀🌀🌀🌀🌀🌀🌀🌀
❤️ your reaction 🤘🏼
Newest album recommend Zempest and Decending earlier tool the grudge ,46 and 2 and Right in two ,a few of my favorites but damn near anything is good by them
The patient
Kyle, Alanna, here’s the link to an amazing video about some math behind Lateralus. You have to watch it to truly understand the genius of this song.
