I noticed another production error right at the beginning. During the first contestant row bidding, trudy bid $570 but the audience was so loud Bob and the tech crew didn't her. Bob asked her if she $500. She nodded yes. Then the big guy next to her says hi Bob how are you today? Bob said you bid what? And the contestant said uh.. $600. Lol!
Usually they have to give them the full prize if they make a mistake by law, but in this case I don't think they were obligated. Just because the number was lit up doesn't mean he had to step on it.
There was an episode when the game Ten Chances was a epic fail. The ones who set it up didn't put the scrambled numbers card up so when Bob pulled the first cover off, the winning price was shown. He won ALL three prizes, A shredder, a gas range and a van I think. Good stuff.
Keith still should've known that the last number was a five. The object of Pathfinder was to get off the board by following a path that made by the numbers in the price of the car. Since that zero would not take him off the board, it had to be the five instead.
I did realize now if you listen very closely. After he stepped on the 0 and buzzer went off you could hear a quick ding. Have they kept that ding going it would’ve made things even more confusing.
Other memorable "technical" wins: • "Safe Crackers" (posted on RUclips)-contestant dials in wrong price, but safe opens anyway • "Barker's Bargain Bar"-one prize had its ARP and bargain price switched • "One Away"-one of the trilons didn't match the corresponding digit in the car's price • "Temptation"-gifts and their prices presented in the wrong order • "Range Game" (played for a car, at that)-price already revealed • "Push Over"-prize shown on set didn't match the announcer's description • "Hit Me"-Bob inadvertently stopped the game prematurely (it's the house, not the player, who must stay at 17+) And the most notorious: • "$uper $aver"-Bob misstates game's rules, causing contestant to lose game
What about the Race Game technical win on 2008 in which the lady who realizes that number change from 1 to 2 and one in 2011 in which another lady accidentally threw the tags on the floor
The day after the debut of the Sushi Bar with the Glass JEOPARDY! door set that spanned from my 1st Grade Elementary School 1996-97 through 7th Grade Middle School August-November 2002.
The two games that you say had technical errors in this episode are _Any Number_ (discrepancy in the price of the car) and _Pathfinder_ (someone pressing the wrong buttons in the prop controls). Both contestant were awarded the prizes anyways. You can't blame Bob for these mistakes, but maybe this was not a good day for those car pricing games...
+pm41224 Oh you most certainly can blame Bob for the first mistake. She asked the question, he failed to answer it correctly - and furthermore, paid no attention to her after she lost and tried to explain his error! :P
Gerard Landry if you had any kind of brain in your head you could figure out that Bob isn't going to tell you the last number of the car is a 1 and let you win with zero effort. He said there's "another one" meaning another number in general. This girl was dumb. He misspoke but even then you should be able to figure out that he's not just going to hand you the last number
Great T.P.I.R. show...🙂👍🌠❤❤❤trudy and keith...got Cars!!!...circuits not functioning right 😂🤣😥thank you...bob barker...best human being...on earth ever...angel😇😇😇💫👑🎆🎇✨🏅
Given that two of the pricing games resulted in their respective contestants receiving the car via errors, I'm wondering if CBS blacklisted this episode from repeats.
There's a 1989 episode where a contestant won $10K in Punchboard just because a hole punched out didn't contain a slip of paper in it, and on the same episode One Away was won because a 1 was shown as a "wrong number" for a 6.
trudy shouldn't have gotten the car. her fault for not paying attention to the rules of the game. of course bob doesn't know the price of any of the prizes. if he did that could cause a problem. keith shouldn't have either. bob clearly explained it was the 5 or 0. he already got one free number and then blew all 3 chances.
I also disagree with what gsherman said about Keith, as the fact that the 0 was already lit up might have lead him to believe that it was the last number.
I agree with you on both of them. Both of them were just handed a prize. They didn't actually win it. Bob wasn't going to tell Trudy that there's a one in the price of the car when there's only one number left LOL and Keith just blew it all together.
DaveStation94 they made it very clear that the zero would not turn off...that doesn't necessarily mean that is the correct number to choose. It was just a technical difficulty. It wasn't some kind of subliminal message or had any secret meaning. It was just a light that wouldn't turn off. 😒
Funny how Bob said he didn't want to hear the audience say "give him the car anyway," but then he did!
24:05 Production issues starts here, you're welcome.

38:00 Translation: "CBS lawyers told me we are in violation of federal law if you we not give you the car, so I am gonna give you the car"
Usually they have to give them the full prize if they make a mistake by law, but in this case I don't think they were obligated. Just because the number was lit up doesn't mean he had to step on it.
I wonder if Bob's "I don't feel about it" came after someone from CBS' Standards and Practices department talked to him...
The show's policy is if they make any mistake the contestant gets the prize.
There was an episode when the game Ten Chances was a epic fail. The ones who set it up didn't put the scrambled numbers card up so when Bob pulled the first cover off, the winning price was shown. He won ALL three prizes, A shredder, a gas range and a van I think. Good stuff.
Even went to the showcase after the two contestants ahead of him went over $1

The one time I didn’t agree with a technicality. She couldn’t be that dumb.
this blooper made the Tribute To Bob Barker special.
Keith should have been the top-winner in the showcase since he got the car after all!
Trudy was right--she clearly asked if there was another 1 in the price of the CAR!!
Yikes, talk about snatching defeat from the jaws of victory in Pathy! I can recall that happening at least 2 other times.
0:53 that's as close to a Yolanda moment as we may ever see on this show LOL.I take that back....2:47, she outdoes herself haha
So Keith was the top winner heading into the showcase.
Wish they still used these tunes when describing prizes/products.

no slip in the hole
What about the Race Game technical win on 2008 in which the lady who realizes that number change from 1 to 2 and one in 2011 in which another lady accidentally threw the tags on the floor
and even Lucky $even has prematurely revealed first number in car in beginning of game
Oh, I even forgot that cliffhanger's small prize, Peter Pan DVD's price is not forty bucks
I even once taped an episode from November 2004 where Bob accidentally knocked open the Push Over price reveal while he was explaining the game.
This was on my birthday I turned sweet 16 ha back then!
I think I have this whole episode on tape. I saved it due to the errors that were made.

Tuesday November 12 , 1996
I believe you missed Monday, November 11, 1996. Do you have that one?
Michael Taylor, if you’re watching this, Any Number and Pathfinder *DO* have technical wins. Are you happy now?
This aired on my 17th birthday. I was at school.
@@wrse2476 alright then! Very good! We're both Scorpios.😄
I wonder if the November 15, 1996 ep of is up somewhere....
What piece of music plays during the second showcase description?
5:20 "stop your whining and get off my stage"
Good stuff. Got any more season 25 shows throughout the rest of the year of 1996?

I most definitely blame Bob for that first mistake. You got to know these rules back to front. Misinterpretation is unacceptable.
I'm sure you've never misspoke in your life.

Christopher was one handsome boy! Trudy should have known how the game was played though. Seems like a cheap way of winning the game.
22:51 what is going on with her eyes.. yikes
26:41 LOL!
YOU FAILED!

LOL Bob didn't know how to pronounce "karaoke"
This was a weird episode.
No problem
Bob: 27:00
And guess what happens (eventually) next?
LOL.... Bob: 38:35!
😁
5:08 WTF!

31 hours? I thought it was 37.
Michael Niemiera. Bob Liked To Change It Up Once In Awhile. Drew won't say it anymore because he screwed it up.
That's what made it funny--Bob always used a different number for the amount of hours!!
It's all Manuela's fault!-Bob Barker
Manuela does not appear on the price is right until 2009
I believe Donald was referencing the Five Price Tags blooper on April 2, 2015.
The woman should not have been given the car. Who in their right mind asks, "Is there another 1 in the price of the car?"

trudy shouldn't have gotten the car. her fault for not paying attention to the rules of the game. of course bob doesn't know the price of any of the prizes. if he did that could cause a problem.
keith shouldn't have either. bob clearly explained it was the 5 or 0. he already got one free number and then blew all 3 chances.
I disagree - Bob told her there was another one in the price of the car. Oh well - it was 20 years ago. The car is in a landfill somewhere LOL
i agree, but a court of law wouldn't have, (and i guarantee you she would've taken them to court had she not been given the car anyway.)
I also disagree with what gsherman said about Keith, as the fact that the 0 was already lit up might have lead him to believe that it was the last number.
