I was just there last summer, and I am returning this summer also, simply because on its way back to Minnesota from Cedar Point. It's currently my second favorite Six Flags park behind Magic Mountain, but I wonder if it could move down to third after I revisit Fiesta Texas next month.

I appreciate your view and some of the points you make are valid.
I agree that ride times were long, and have been long this 2024 season, but I would rather their ride times be longer so that the new ride operators are learning how to safely load the trains. There has been a lot of training and checking and double checking going on. It seems like there is a LOT of new staff.
Viper is much much better. It was re-tracked and the ride is much more fun than it has been for years!
Do you live in the Chicago area? How is the park supposed to get rides up and things done when it is snowing up to 2-3 weeks before opening day? This midwest weather is brutal. That's why I don't get upset about things not being open or ready to go. It's hard to get anything done in this area consistently when it comes to construction.

We had a very early, mild spring this year. Barely any snow since January.

You know at the end of the day it's great that new ride ops are being trained and check in and double-checking on the rides even though that the lines are long we kind of have to expect this and we all have to just keep an open mind when we go on opening week that rides will not run two trains and we kind of have to really help them out because they are new ask for the front entrance I feel like maybe it might be the Village Council that was kind of late on this one they probably didn't get it approved early enough or it could be whoever was representing Six Flags at the time had to go to the council meeting and they had to sit through and they had to get approved and all that stuff you know this stuff happens this stuff really does happen but this is necessary not a Six Flags fault thing it's not a corporate thing it's more of a hey we need to get this approved right away but unfortunately they probably had to wait while they go through while they sit through all the other stuff that has to get approved which kind of puts everything on hold for a minute or two and during opening week they have to play catch up and they have to just deal with it

They have to paint rides. Batman looks rough.

Six Flags Great America is becoming another Riverview park. The park is getting old, the older the park gets the worse it gets.
