It's time to connect the starter battery in my car. After the first tests, I had concerns about its technical condition, and I was subconsciously convinced that I needed to add water to it as soon as possible because it might be dry. I guess I wasn't too wrong and as a result of disregarding intuition and first measurements, we are where we are, i.e. resuscitation, not treatment. So, as always, prevention is better than cure, I didn't pay attention and now we have what we have.
As in the movie, I always treated my batteries intended for storage for PV with starting batteries, it was a sad period for PV because the time spent on keeping the storage "alive" was not adequate to the profits and many batteries died of themselves despite not giving any sooner. signs that something is wrong with them.
I used to not be so careful when working with acid batteries and that's why I was splashed with acid more than once, either on my face or on my hands, but over time you become more aware, but it's a pity that after the fact.
I know from experience that it is not worth pouring water/solution into the cell suddenly because it can start the mess and cause the cell to short-circuit prematurely.
It's the same when opening/drilling, haste = problems.
The stick method is the cheapest and more accessible method, I have tried different ones and this is the fastest, although I have a few more but I didn't show them in this video.
While charging with a low current (only 1.5A), I noticed that something was wrong because not all cells started gassing and one of them "boiled black". In addition, after some time, the current consumed increased and the voltage dropped = there was a short circuit somewhere in the cell.
From that moment on, I had no doubts about the condition of the battery and everything was adding up. I started "regeneration" too late and as a result the battery ended up in the scrapyard... but it was worth a try.

Cóż, niestety zadziałało stare powiedzenie “operacja się udała, pacjent zmarł”. Czasem stawia się właściwą diagnozę, stosuje prawidłową terapię, a zabiegi i tak okażą się nieskuteczne 😉 Hm, i co teraz? Kolejny złomek, czy jednak skusisz się na coś nowego?

Zadługo czekałem na leczenie, choć już było poprawne, nie takie jak kiedyś 😜
Szczerze mam rozterkę, między: złom za free, złom za 50 pln, najtańszy nowy, nowy obsługowy z korkami 🤔

@@SzymonHawlicki Nie wiem jakie tam masz relacje przy pozyskiwaniu złomków, ale teraz masz tester za pomocą którego możesz ewentualnie wybrać najbardziej rokującą sztukę. Najtańszy nowy to loteria, szczególnie w egzotycznych markach, bo można trafić na "podrasowany" naklejką. Czyli przykładowo 44Ah oklejony jako 50Ah... Najtańszy nowy z korkami to też nie będzie "miód malina". W tej branży nie da się niestety dobrze i tanio. Chcesz dobrze - nie będzie tanio, chcesz tanio - na odwrót 😁 Trzecia opcja to średnio 😋

@Tab7.6.Tab7.6 mam swoje „dojścia” lata kopania w PV na kwasiakach otwiera drzwi 🤣 Racja teraz test jest jednoznaczny i bez obijania w bawełnę „albo albo”
Klęska wyboru, najlepiej było by kupić w markecie z gwarancją 2 lata - w sklepie zazwyczaj gwarancja roczna i po 2 - 3 Game Over 🙈
Muszę się po pytać o ceny, tylko pracując 8/16 jest to utrudnione. Będzie trzeb dodać tabelkę w arkuszu doboru aku i policzyć „złoty środek”
Bosh już też ma problemy, jednego dnia przy rozruchu zmierzyłem 11,7 V po przekręceniu stacyjki - na tym moim małym woltomierzu, a to jest dobry prorok …

@@SzymonHawlicki Gwarancja zawsze jest 2 lata, bo takie są przepisy. Inna sprawa to ewentualnie ją wyegzekwować 😉 Będziesz miał czas to oblecisz z testerem swoje dojścia, może się trafi jakaś perełka. Aczkolwiek z tego co piszesz sprawa zaczyna być pilna 😉 Zorientuj się po ile chodzą w okolicy Varta Blue w pojemności 50-60Ah.
