- I took a trip down to Alton Towers in Staffordshire. It's the largest theme park in the UK.... And, apart from thinking I was going to fall out of Galactica, it was awesome!

I loved Europa Park as a kid! I remember how the haunted house was so similar to Disney's Haunted Mansion :)

I used to go regularly as a kid. 30 years ago. 😮😮😮. Now I feel really old. It looks like a lot has changed so I might have to revisit. 😊
Amazing place! Incredible stories behind a lot of the rides. All adds to the atmosphere. I've been obsessed with Alton Towers for decades!
I'm imagining the ghost of the 19th century Earl of Shrewsbury who built the house trying desperately to scare away the customers by haunting them, and being mistaken for one of the attractions.

Many years ago when Nemesis 1st opened, a load of us went there and turned up far too early but they let us in anyway. The guy running Nemesis let us on and told us that it was going round without stopping 5 times for some kind of pre-day check. 5 times in a row, I crawled away from that ride feeling incredibly sick.
That'll teach you to accept rides from strangers! 😜
I've not been to Alton Towers since I was a kid (I worked out you're a year younger than me, so you can do the maths on that one! Also, that sounded a bit more stalkery than I mean it to!). Glad to see the monorail is still there... Probably the only thing I could go on now. Maybe the old Pirate Ship disguised as a Bat'leth and the Tea Cups disguised as... whatever the hell that was.

Went on a ride last week at Paignton, but had to get off half way through as it was a bit too fast for me. Sadly these places are too expensive now. Was £4.50 to get in Alton Towers when I went.
The Octonauts ride in CBeebies land is plenty fast for me. They need to get Hex back open.
I go to alton towers on the 29th of August for 2 days and I can't wait
I didn't see a single bee on the Wickerman ride. Quite disappointing.

I went to Disney this April and we were on the Khali River Rapids with a family of Brits. They were smart and wore ponchos. We did not. My friend's son and I bore the brunt of the water. Lol. But we had some great conversation with our boat mates.
Looks like Alton Towers has so many great roller coasters to go on! Plus all the creepy stuff looks cool. Would love to go there someday.. if I ever stop being lazy and get my passport.

I remember when nemesis first opened up, that ride was great.
Certainly looks like a revisit is needed as there seems to be a lot of "new" stuff I've not even seen before 🤔

The theming of wicker man looks fantastic. I love the landscape of the park too. I’ve never been to the uk (I’m actually from Southern California) but it’s honestly a beautiful country

Went to Camelot as a kid........ Spewed the whole world up after a rollercoaster. In high School we went to Alton Towers, river rapids was the only thing I went on. I think Oblivion had just opened......FUCKKKKKKK THHAAAAATTTTTTT.

Enjoyed the vid! Is it usual for theme parks in the UK to have a 'darker' tone? It's like the US equivalent of Wicker Man would be "Hey kids, do you want to be 'burned at the stake'". 🤣
🤣 Haha, brilliant! They do have dedicated kids areas too, it's just we tend to stay away from those! But yeah, I guess it is all pretty dark! 😁
Fantastic video!! If you’re ever in the states(don’t know why you would want to be…) we have hundreds of parks. There are 4 in my “Stupid State” alone. Definitely check out Kings Island Amusement Park in Ohio. It’s not bad
