- Another winter storm is hitting the GTA making for a rough evening commute. Michelle Mackey has the timing of this messy system and is talking to Torontonians about how they're handling more snow.

I love how the city piled the snow onto the sidewalk on 6 lane roads. Made it hard of me to walk through.
Toronto only cares about cars and trucks, not pedestrians and cyclists.

The plows in Toronto do a terrible job. Just curious cross the boarders into York, Peel, or Durham and you'll see a large contrast between the region dividing road.
Not the only comparison size up with same results.
During the fall good to see salting but clearing that fast dump during isn't feasible.

Out here in rural Eastern Ontario we have hundreds of kilometres of roads and they are all plowed and sanded with no problem

I always hope myself, that the plow will stay away from my street after a storm. The road is only used by the people who live on it, and the more cars that travel down it, the more there is a cleared path to travel on. What the plow does, is fill a wall in at the bottom of each driveway, most usually just after you have cleared your snow away. It's not helpful.
Toronto people complain to much about the snow 10..15cm
Come to orillia or muskoka where at times we get 40cm.of snow.. one year we had 62cm of snow in a 12 hour period

The mommy with the stroller and the senior with mobility issues are often (not always but often) the same people who fiercely oppose the densification of their neighbourhoods (aka NIMBYs) which would allow the city to collect more text revenue per square meter of land, thus being able to afford the level of service they want.. food for thought..
