Though ive not yet played with the Triode ; i have the black Anode ; i can assure you that when played very loudly through an appropriate audio system (Function One recommended) the Meeblip does indeed become a weapon.
Sorry, the unit has a mini stereo output, and apparently I was using the wrong cable so I was getting very low signal and had to crank up the gain, thus the noise. It seems that using 3.5mm TRS to dual TS is the best solution.
I disagree with thebox thing, the box can be nice clean simple with the brand doesn't need to be much but something more than nothing and chicks for free

the sub osc sounds nice but I don't like how the circuit distorts
the distortion is actually a very large portion of this unit's charm.
