5. Duracell
6. Pampers
6. Singer Sewing Machine

19. Promo for "Starsky & Hutch" and "The Love Boat"
Eggnog was 79 cents in a quart in 1977 but adjusted to inflation $3.75!!
Nothing but the best commercials of the 70s 80s and 90s
I'm amazed at how many of the jingles and catch phrases I can remember.
Excellent, Merry Christmas 🎄
From a Dallas station! Always nice to see commercials from the 70’s.
2:23 - I was born in July 1977. I wonder if my mom was having this conversation earlier in the year.
Duracell- If I had that toy dog, one or a whole herd of them, their barking sounds would be haunting me in my dreams.
Pampers- A Baby's rear end is certainly something you wouldn't see in commercials similar to this one nowadays.
Star Wars still going strong all this time later. First thing I thought about with the John Denver special was the Muppets as well.
The irony is it would be Barbarino joining a cult in real life.
I sat here trying to figure it out for about 3 minutes . . . then I got it. LOL.
Back in 70's, my homeland (Finland) was extremely closed nation. None of that stuff had any change to flow into our market (if you look Finland and it's history, you easily understand why it was so hard back then)... We had very very few commercials in our two tv-channels ... that's why it's so refreshing to watch these now to understand the bubble I have been living my early years...
1:22 - This guy was obviously directed to overact as much as possible, and to sell each motion. I love it.
He would have been a great silent movie actor back in the day
Merry Christmas to everyone who love this awesome channel 🎄
Dang, as of 2022 all three of the Christmas special stars are gone. RIP John Denver, Valerie Harper, and Olivia Newton-John.
Awesome set! I think mini wheats were meant to be mini versions of the giant shredded wheat "hay bales" my Dad are for breakfast when I was a kid.
They were hideous. A friends dad worked on the ad campaign. They had tons of them & couldn’t give them away to the neighbors
@@samanthab1923 Everybody's tastes are different. I love mini wheats. I still buy them.
@@jillsmith633 Oh I know. My mom loves them. She even liked the big non frosted ones. A wood chip in milk 😂
0:30--I love that Frosted Mini Wheats jingle!
1:52--I remember when Duracell batteries also carried the "Mallory" brand. I believe that was the original name of the manufacturer, named after one of its founders. After the company was sold, the Mallory brand was dropped.
3:28--Alphabet soup! I loved that stuff when I was a kid.
4:31--We don't have Safeway stores in my home state of Iowa (although I seem to recall seeing one in Des Moines many years ago), but it is a prominent supermarket chain in the West.
5:07--I loved C.W. Post! They should bring it back, especially with the popularity of granola cereals in recent years.
6:08--Back when the iconic 1977 science fiction movie was just plain old "Star Wars." I believe the opening trailer billing it as "Episode IV: A New Hope" was added when the film was re-released in theaters.
6:08 who could've imagined back then that that franchise would become so iconic and still be getting sequels, prequels, etc decades later?
Most people. Star Wars was an absolute smash hit in every sense of the word. It was the biggest movie of 1977 and penetrated pretty much every aspect of pop culture.
CW Post could have done the Monorail song on The Simpsons!
Mrs. Goodcookie is still around although in a premade individual size!
STICK IT IN YOUR EAR!
I love it 🤠
Aviance-guy's smile at the end summed it up
Welcome Back, Kotter-this should also be re-done on Live In Front Of A Studio Audience
Star Wars-The OG version before all the enhancements is still the best
Mrs. Goodcookie Frozen Cookie Dough -Goodcookie sounds like a name for a character from a Blaxploitation film
Lucan-before there was Manimal
Starsky & Hutch-the obligatory"protect the runaway kid" episode
The Love Boat-Grandpa Walton and Potsie Webber on the same cruise
CW Post and Mrs. Goodcookie forgot all about them.
C.W. Post - Every cereal should be advertised by a Harold Hill wannabe...
