The house is obviously a total loss. What the fire didn't destroy, the water from putting it out and the elements did. So if the place had homeowners insurance, it's likely why no one ever returned even to salvage anything
It sucks to see beautiful homes like this suffer in the elements without protection. Wish I could've seen the before and now in person. Its one thing to watch it on a screen but I bet it's a completely different experience when you're stepping inside the beautiful architecture. It seems like it would've been, and probably was a cozy home to someone. Also, please keep exploring! I love your videos.
Wow that place was so destroyed, it's sad to see peoples memories just wiped out and ruined like that. Please be very careful opening outer doors as they could be all that is holding up that particular section. Thank you for sharing. x
Wow! This was a beautiful home once. The owners probably collected on the insurances and relocated to start over. Most city ordinances require that the owners demolish homes like this. At least out where I am. I wonder what the cause was? Nice property too. Thank you!

A little over three years ago, I had a house fire that resulted in a total loss of the house. By no means did I live in a mansion, but this video brings me back to that time, surprisingly in a good way. The day after the fire, we were cleared to enter and retrieve whatever valuables we could from inside. I was too torn up with emotions over loss back then to really consider some of the things I think about when I look back. As someone who has lost a home and pets to a fire, I can honestly say that fire is a fascinating thing. Yes, it's terrible, and I never want to experience that day again, nor should anyone else ever have to experience it. However, there were things in that house, aside from just ruined belongings and memories, that I didn't expect to see. The fire mainly took place in the dining room, which was essentially the same room as our living room as there was no real wall dividing the space. My stepfather loved large TV's. When we walked in, we could see only the frame outermost of what once was a flatscreen television. The rest of the TV had entirely melted, dripped downwards onto the stand the TV was on, and then solidified, assumedly when the firemen arrived and began to put out the fire. Smoke had turned the walls in every room black. Eerily enough, although no people were inside the house at the time the fire started, one of the firemen that had entered the house after they put out the fire must have placed their hand upon the wall, as a large outline of an open palm stood out in white (the color of the paint on the wall) against the ash-covered wall. It's been long enough now that I can look back and be fascinated by all of this. It's truly amazing what fire can do.
Tbh this was kinda sad. Like someone once grew up in that house, and they didn’t even consider taking any of their personal belongings that survived the fire. They could have at least tried to salvage/save their items :( The family that lived there before must have had such amazing and great memories. Now I’m rlly sad lmao
9:00 maybe somebody dropped their hair dryer in the sink, or maybe somebody started a bath and forgot about it, and the a hair dryer fell in there, I don't know.
That's real sad, all their stuff gone in a minute. They really had a nice place. Hope everyone got out & is safe. Cool explore. Thanks for sharing with us.
3:52 there’s a paper on the wall it says I think it’s pretty hard to read “the hardest part is simply bring anywhere you’re not” idk what that means , and if it was left there ?
True but I agree with the comment below even if some of that stuff was worth something it wouldn’t be worth taking because it doesn’t belong to me but there is people out there who would in a heartbeat which is sad
say like the christchurch shooting, (which i was born in christchurch) if police were near they could have somewhat helped, but the weren’t and a lot of people still died.
Noticed the house was done in conduit EMT wonder if this was in the chicago area or near cook county il unfortunately 90% of the u.s. uses romex non metallic sheathed cable with plastic boxes stupid way to wire a house. If you dont do it in conduit you might as well not do it . Il bet the fire started from the heating equipment [ furnace in attic ]
Truly frozen in time... to me this is a reminder of how quickly your whole life can change and everything can be lost
Wow, never seen an abandoned house without a roof which had so many furniture still in it. That's a really special find man, thanks for sharing :)

This is undoubtedly one of the best abandoned home videos I have ever seen. Thank you...great job
8:55 ayeee my friend and I set up Yoshi like that!
Lmao, where was he before?
This makes me really sad. Poor family who lived here. Probably too sad to go back inside to get the rest of the stuff so just left it. :'(
So sad man 1 like 1 for pray
*When the owners of he house watches this video and sees...*
*Mom:* That jog of milk costed me 1.99..
An Extraordinary Person With No Life TM I got dyslexia reading that
Hate how people stole everything from this place. It was very cool, but if people didn't take so much stuff, it would have been much cooler.
Strange Places sometimes we secure some of the places ourselves to keep assholes away
Well you might as well take the valuable things before they get destroyed

Those intro cinematic shots are sick, bro. One of my favorite videos of yours.
8:33 it’s as if the people who were there were trying to pack before leaving during the blaze :(

Hello There they probably didn’t have time....
Places like this are just so depressing, with a fire you can’t even restore some houses
Yes I used to do contract work we ended up demoing a property like this we had to start from the ground up
Patrick Shea shame
4:15 how did the chandelier be like perfectly fine?
9:00 maybe somebody dropped their hair dryer in the sink, or maybe somebody started a bath and forgot about it, and the a hair dryer fell in there, I don't know.
Pause at 3:52 there is a sheet of paper perfectly stuck on the grey wall and it says *the hardest part is simply being anywhere you’re not*
Arianna Rose it’s might just be something someone taped up there, sort of like graffiti ?
0:23 Love how the piano still standing there while you're playing classical music in the background
8:51 yoshi started the fire
I really want to do what you do, it seems absolutely amazing!
That's real sad, all their stuff gone in a minute. They really had a nice place. Hope everyone got out & is safe. Cool explore. Thanks for sharing with us.
They probably didn't rebuild because of the location. The highway noise is aggravating.
Wow...that is an amazing explore. Thanks for sharing this!👍

Good job👍
That is truly unique. Never seen anything like it. Good job!
Looks cool without all the snow covering the place.
It was! Quite surreal
I love how you did the beginning of this video. 🔥
0:22 poor piano 😞. Sad that the house burnt down I think the fire must of from a attic fire since there’s no roof
With urbexing, do you always get the permission of the land owner? I'm really interested in starting it, I don't want to do anything illegal!
I still fail too see how this isn’t the most subscribed channel on RUclips good job guys

You should check the books for first editions they might be worth something
Could be the case, but wouldn't matter cuz they don't belong to me. Thanks for watching :)
Explorers don't take anything. All they leave are footprints and document what they're exploring. Nothing more, nothing less
True but I agree with the comment below even if some of that stuff was worth something it wouldn’t be worth taking because it doesn’t belong to me but there is people out there who would in a heartbeat which is sad
The real taffington boathouse
3:52 "The hardest part is simply being anywhere your not."
What does that mean?
say like the christchurch shooting, (which i was born in christchurch) if police were near they could have somewhat helped, but the weren’t and a lot of people still died.
i thought it was a couples thing like “its hard to be somewhere without you”
2:21 I thought he farted XD
Imagine watching this video and realizing it was your house. And someone is walking through it, thatd be weird
Some of the stuff there would surely be worth a bit? I’d take it ❤️
Looks like a tornado hit it!!!

It sounded like a fart at 2:22
