- In this video, Kevin and I are coin roll hunting a 39 year old box of pennies that was retrieved from a bank and sent to us by a fan named Dave. This box of pennies is just one small part of a much larger collection dump that Dave and his girlfriend discovered at a bank a few years back. It does not contain any coins minted after 1982 and every single roll is wrapped by hand! Per Dave's wishes, Kevin and I decided to split the box in half and hunt through it competition style for rare, interesting, valuable, and collectible coins, and this box had no shortage of those!

WOW!!! Thats a super super nice guy to have sent you those basicly ancient rolls...I also have an '09 VDB...no S though...also has great detail. I love seeing all of those wheats and nice looking older(now) coins. Its always great seeing an old coin with great luster.

Not sure what a vdb is but ill look it up. But I do have a question, The penny with all the corrosion on it. Is it advisable to not do anything to clean it up? Have always heard not to clean Coins.is that true. Unless of course you can't see enough to even know what it is.

Wow, that was a great find! I think it's in "stunning" condition because the 1909 and 1909-S VDB cents were commonly hoarded. That coin seems to be in Fine condition and doesn't have any damage. Again, great find. That was quite fun to watch!

I bought a half of a box of Pennies and there was a pristine condition 1959 penny roll and I opened it and it had a 1959 perfect condition pennies in it and it was my first penny hunt ever

My father gave me a penny from the UK that dates back to 1919. Oldest coin i have (Oldest american i have is 1941)
The Italian coin is 5 centesimi. The lira was divided into 100 centesimi. All centesimi coins were taken out of production after WW2. It might have some collectors value but due to inflation the face value would be about zero.
In My first box of pennies I found a 1909 vdb! It was the only coin in their that was older than 1982 so it was my first copper penny from a box!

You should use the Canadian point system for British coins.That King George 5th farthing should be worth 25 points,not 2.
I've been able to find a 55 wheat penny, 49 nickel, and a bicentennial quarter in just one day of paying attention to the coins when I count down tills. There's soo many coins to try to remember and dates and stuff lol,

This 1909-VDB is definitely up there! But I think for me, it would have to be either the Indian head penny ender or the v nickel ender I found. Both of those are on my channel if you haven’t seen them yet! And I’m glad to hear it, I hope you enjoy them!

Just started penny roll hunting. What would you say is an average amount of Wheat and copper pennies you would get in a $25 box of pennies. Unfortunately my 1st box was all new 2020 p pennies, but my 2nd box is circulated. They're both Loomis boxes if that matters.
