Thanks for the nice review...if my Nikon Coolpix L830 was unrepearably dead, this machine would be its successor. (Red points for a manual zoom and view-finder...beside the screen.)

Hey Dave thanks for the review! Just bought this camera and hasn't even come yet. I own two other pixpro cameras and I've enjoyed them myself. They are great little cameras.
Do you also have experience with the az528?
In the netherlands the az652 is €460,- and the az528 is €260 that's quite a big difference... (The 652 has 65 zoom... The 528 has 52x zoom and doesn't have that flip screen and has lil less megapixel (20 mp and 16 mp) So i cannot really choose between them... The price difference is big and i doubt if the az652 is worth the €200 extra ...

Hi, I have a Panasonic Lumix DC-FZ82, I previously had a DMC-FZ72. Both bridgecameras like the Kodak you reviewed here. It has 60x optical zoom and for the most part I'm happy with it. But the problems are subjects in motion, glare on the lens and the electronic viewfinder. The viewfinder is too small to see the subject if it's far from the camera so unless the subject is closer I'm haveing problems useing it. How is the viewfinder on this camera?
We get case and manual in box.. But we pay 468 USD . I will go to buy tomorrow. Regards from Turkey. (A Kodak Fun)
Great review, I'm going to have to do a little research and see how I can mount a portable hot shoe to this, I film a lot of RC aircraft and its a lot easier having an 5 to 7 inch external monitor to look at? Well there be any issues hooking up an external monitor to this camera?
Great review, i love this camera especially its RAW and different settings. Have you used the timelapse settings i cant seem to get them to work!!!

Hey Dave Thanks for the review. I am Going to a Falcon Heavy Launch and want to video it. Do you think this will work well to Keep on track in following the Rocket? How fast is the Zoom and is its speed adjustable?
I imagine that a robot launch moves pretty slowly until it starts to really speed up. Not sure, honestly, if the Kodak is going to be able to keep up.
I'm wanting to get this camera. Does it take good milkyway photos?

Hey Dave when I take a photo on my Kodak az652 it freezes and I cant move on from that still frame . Any idea
Bad MicroSD card. I bet it's either too slow (speed counts!) or defective. Not sure of the rating with this camera but try at least a U1 / 10MB/s speed if you can't find a spec.

It froze even before I put the sd card in and I think this canera has built in memory if I remember rightly ? Faulty camera

Are you saying you can't use it because the internal memory is full? The instructions detail how to delete photos to free up more space.

Probably not because it doesn't support an external microphone...

You'll have to check with Kodak or dig up a user guide online to ascertain that, I no longer have this camera...
I have the Kodak Pixpro AZ652 it doesn’t have the view finder and the quality of images are horrible unless it’s on flash. The screen quality is also terrible.
does this camera have a clean HDMI output for video calling and streaming?
I don't think you could use it for that purpose. Not really designed to be tethered to a computer for live streaming...
Any updates to how you enjoy it now in 2023.
I've long since moved on to newer cameras, to be honest. I don't tend to stick with any devices because I so constantly get new gear!

The User Manual doesn't talk about manual settings? I'd look again, I'm 99% sure it has a manual exposure mode...

I though the camera had a view finder. You didn't mention it that I noticed.
Look at the thumbnail image: Would I be holding it up to my eye if it didn't have a viewfinder? :-)
This camera is junk. Bought Kodak az901 last May. In December it stopped working. Got in contact with Kodak and they sent me a new camera. It is April and this camera malfunction. Tried to call kodak. Had Nikon 510 42x. Bought in 2014. Still works.

Did the fully zoomed out vs fully zoomed in images less than 1:00 into the video pass you by? That's the first demo I have in this review, J23...

How wasn't it clear? I show plains with tiny mountains in the distance, then say "without moving I am now going to maximum zoom so you can see the difference" and show a picture of the mountains themselves....

Honestly, I have no idea. Don't know what you need special for astrophotography...
You can do astro with any camera that has manual mode, as long as it has 15s shutter speed or more.

Kodak stopped producing Cameras long ago. The last original Kodak Camera with the great Schneider Kreuznach lenses was the Kodak Z990 Max. A rather mysterious company by the name "JK Imaging Ltd." bought the name "Kodak" and produces these Kodak Pixpro cameras in China. They are by far not the quality of the original Kodaks, worst of all, they don't have the Schneider Kreuznach lenses built in!😭
