Roglic obviously gifted Remco the final stage. All Roglic did in that final sprint was stay on Remco's wheel, and to be honest he matched his sprint with ease without even sprinting himself. Congrats to Primoz!!

Great competition between the 2. Experience vs Learning between PR and RE respectively. I cannot understand why people get irritated by RE, he was on the receiving end afterall, but making the race of the GC interesting against a calm and collected PR. It was indeed enjoyable and nice for both to get the spoils at the end.

Some people don't understand what Evenepoel is doing, why he is trying to get Roglic to pull even though he shouldn't, and they both know it.
      1. Checking on Roglic, seeing if he responds, what he says, and how he says it. This can help him gauge Roglic's form for the day. If he is suffering he might respond in a way that is somehow different.
      2. Pretending that it is about the stage, trying to make Roglic desire the stage win as well as the total.
      3. Shame Roglic into pulling for no reason. (Not gonna work, but you might as well try)
There are many more ways to use communication for mind games and gathering information.
Evenepoel does look a bit angry, and some people dislike this to an extreme, but for me it's just passion, and making yourself heard in the 50kph wind. The annoyance is more directed at the situation he is in, not being able to break his opponent, than anger towards his opponent.
      Cheers!

      @@japphan two (apparetly contrasting consideration).
      1) Roglic not pulling is why he will never be loved as much as other champions, and also a bit of insecurity on his side, but it was the smart thing to do because
      2) Pulling with Remco more than few km from the finish on a mixed terrain is extremely risky. The more you stay out and share work with him the more he can leave you behind and will kill you on the plain road more than on the climbs. For Roglic it would have been easier to work togheter on a mountain finish.

Well, Roglic wouldn't be able to draft behind Evenepoel in a TT. Evenepoel had to hold back when attacking while Roglic just had to hang on, especially since Roglic wouldn't take turns. Then, it's not like he felt 100% sure that he was consistently stronger, every single day, so he could not afford to work for the pair to go faster and try to get another couple stage wins. It would be great for Evenepoel if they both worked, only for him to sense that Roglic became tired at some point, so he would get a chance to drop him and gain just 10 seconds. We all like to see somebody put on a show every day without necessarily thinking of the bigger picture, but what Roglic did was hardly unexpected. Is anyone other than myself getting tired of Remco’s antics? Lefèbvre needs to take that boy to the woodshed.

@@doommonger7784 He is the race leader, and has not obligation to take a pull or work with Remco. To do so would only add risk to his position. His "wheel sitting" is the smart thing to do and cannot be faulted, except by an immature Remco.
