Ms Sarah!!! I so needed to hear your soothing, perfect pitch and harmony. It’s like you bare your soul & here comes this echo of a voice with conviction- speaking to others in such a raw, and uncovered nurturing, human way..🌸
Sarah gives hope to us older listeners that the singer/songwriter tradition, which many lament as dead, is in fact alive and well. Her combination of musicianship, voice, and composition hearkens back to dare I say Joni Mitchell, Joan Baez, and her fellow Texan Nancy Griffin. Her collaborations with this generations acoustic leaders has helped her to define a unique and powerful catalog.
I have always been a huge fan and there is a pure and primative soul that lives in her spare instrumental accompaniment and vocals on this wonderful piece.
I find it difficult to articulate what I like so much about Sarah's voice, but she is spectacular. All three of these songs are superb. 10/10. What a great talent.
Sarah is remarkable in that she’s had the same influences many others have had, but she’s come to a place of such individuality. She’s recounting her experiences and emotions in a lovely and evocative way. Her song structures and playing style are unique.
An aging bluegrass musician in Brooklyn asked me to download some Jerry Douglas for him, as a Dubro player. Alison Krauss asked him to record with her in Montauk some years ago. And I was a Slaid Cleeves fan, so finding her was a treat; Good Algorithm! That was about 6 years ago. What an artist.
Love that guitar bodied Octave Mandolin. Planning on converting and old Harmony archtop guitar into a mandocello. anybody know what the make is on Sarah's OM?
so is that what the instrument she is playing is called a "Mandocello" because my god, what a fantastic sound. Going to see her and her band next month here in Connecticut, I cannot wait, she is balm to the aching musical soul of 60 year olds, searching for gold nuggets in the current musical sludge.
Found you by accident but I am now n a Sara Jarosz. Will start looking for your CDs after I pay off my latest bass guitar purchase. Question, what kind of instrument is the guitar appearing 8 string. Also when do we get to hear you on the Telecaster.
What guitar is she playing on Take Another Turn? Trying to look at the peg board but she got her tuner on it and I don’t recall ever having seen her play that particular guitar. Anyone know?
3:42 The Cultural OS. Personally. Listen to the Music of much of Islam; it is a form of Desert Yodeling to god. North Africa now owns the best "Guitar Music," in my opinion.
A voice like an angel.

My favorite line in House of Mercy, "You make me want to be alone."
Sarah's the real deal..... song writer, musical prodigy at 12... her Octave Mando playing blows me away.
Wow - I had Crooked Still on Autoplay Sarah Jarosz came up automagically after a while . Had never heard of her - I am blown away.
Wonderful! I could watch her hands for hours...
Smart guy here. He wants the real wisdom of which she is the vessel. SHE might get a wee bit offended, but probably not. She is as smart.

One take perfection!

saw her from the font row in Traverse City, 7-9-16. I was a fan before the show, but I became endeared to her Live. wow.
Saw her at the Ark in Ann Arbor about the same time."Endeared" is the right word, David. Somehow to say "I loved her" is not quite enough.
Tears are flowing; her instrumental work reminds me of Garnet Rogers, but that clarity of voice is like no one else.
She's such a gift.
les talents rare sont les meilleurs , en voici une !!! satisfaction totale....
saw her in May at HML in Big Sur, freaking brilliant artist.

just oh so good
So Joni Mitchell.Really good..
Reminds me of young Gillian Welch.
there is a reason thile jams with this chick
Indeed! Thile is a midget musician in comparison.
sgabriel well in terms of mando skills and theory knowledge he’s miles ahead of her.
@@colbyregister7128 You think? In mando skills, surely. But theory? She's a brilliant composer and a very sensitive musician.
Chick? Grow up. Sorry.
@@kprice5877 They don't know that it is a whacked perspective. I'm sure he meant it as a compliment. This will kindly remind them.

Divine You must’ve come from heaven heaven
I like the Times. But is seems Jarosz has been delivering on the promise for some time.
America.
Two sad people. Let's pray for them in the manner we are accustomed to.
